You're very wrong about cartridges versus discs, the Switch carts are 32 GB, the PS4 discs are 50 GB, and the PS5 are 100 GB. There are many, many, many disc-based games that are as complete or more complete than their cart versions, it usually depends on the date or version released. All that matters is companies keep releasing physical media with playable builds, whether it's cartridges or discs.

I’m not ever getting another Xbox ever again if it’s all digital

Holidays just happened local stores have been out of stock. Went today and more than half their inventory that was missing is back in stock

  • @Laz3rCat95

Yup I think they're just clearing out their inventory and preparing for the next thing.

i think you're on the money. Been going to my local walmart and nearly every switch game except zelda games and some jrpgs are on sale. I was kinda kicking myself for picking up StarOcean for full price while all these other titles are between $40-50 lol

I plan on getting Kirby Star Allies near the end of this month.

Digital is the future whether we like it or not. All 3 console platform holders spent the majority of the last 10 years building their online store front and they are all comfortable with the current state of their offerings. It will continue to improve and get better each year. That being said, Valve has proven with Steam and the growing popularity of the Steam Deck, that digital purchases of games are being bought consistently by gamers and PC gaming in general has grown over the the last few years. Last time I checked, no physical PC games have been soled in the last 15 or so years. Costs to make games have skyrocketed and the cost to produce, manufacture, package and ship the games in physical form have increased as well. Game Publishers tried to increase prices haven’t worked as intended so trying to sale their games on their store fronts at launch price point and lower the price over the life cycle of the game digitally makes the most sense as they can control the cost and revenue stream without a retailer or distributer cutting into those profits.

  • @voydkid

  • @SALARIER

But cartridges cost a lot... but i think nintendo selects or a all digital future... scary....😢 but its gonn😅a happen eventually...😢

  • @WildharpieECW

You can still buy them game I seen alot of these delisted game in stores, As for reprint they will be having a new art box for them, they know they need to keep selling these so they will reprint them for sure. We are coming to only Digital weather we like it or not, I already said once that happens i staying to PC, there no point fo console anymore and hopw XBox is doing it game servers liek gamepass it the future of gaming. SO this your time to buy as many game you want for what console you own before it to late, They don't care about you, people need to open their eyes these companies are about money and saving it so in tiem it will be all digital.

  • @Ducky2317

Also keep in mind that retail stores are also ending selling physical media by summer of this year.

  • @seektruthnow.

We’re are approaching the end of the switch. I’m curious about Nintendos next system. If they go only digital then it’s here to stay. In the future no stores will sell games.

  • @Gamer1234brendan

I’ll play what I have and go completely offine
