- While changing out a motor sounds like a daunting task, with the help of Chris and Keith in this video you'll be swapping out motors in no time! They give a step by step guide on how to remove the old motor and attach the new motor - and all the information you need in-between.
I want to see this video redone, with all the procedures in the proper order and someone actually PERFORMING the work instead of just talking about it. I want to see wrenches turning so I can see all the issues, etc.
Yeah they sucked lol
Thanks guys. I needed to see this. The bearings on mine are HOWLING like crazy!
You guys clearly know what you’re talking about but I was trying to send one of my guys a video for reference on replacing and this wouldn’t cut it.
Good video, but I would like the part number for the seal and O ring kit .
Good Video but hate the black on black and lighting.
Saved my ass
what's the model number for the gasket kit? I have the SF-N1-3 Pump. Thanks!
Is the motor interchangeable with the whisperflo and intelliflo?
No, the Intelliflo is 3HP variable speed motor whereas the whisperflo comes with a two speed but can be replaced with a single speed motor if the person is trying to save money (Not recommended because they will pay much more in their power bill)
Wrong title for your video. It should say How to Replace the Seals - not the Motor.
How much
Don't trash the old motor if it just needs bearings. That's a huge waste of a serious piece of equipment. A bearing change is easy, there's plenty of videos to show how. And a bearing change is WAY cheaper than a new motor. $50.00 for expensive bearings, $15.00 for a cheap set. If you are trashing your old motor, send it to me!!! I keep two motors for my pumps, one in service and one with fresh bearings to swap out. Swap in the standby motor immediately, no down time, rebuild the one with worn bearings at your leisure. If it's not in the budget to keep a spare motor on hand, you can rebuild the old one with new bearings in the same day. You CAN keep spare bearings on hand, they are affordable. That guy had his hands all over the seal, don't do that. Keep your dirty oily hands off the seals. If you touch them or they get anything at all on them, wipe them off with an alcohol dampened microfiber cloth. ANY debris of any kind, including skin oil, will fail them.
Something seems to be wrong with the audio.
