The truth which you cannot dispute is you sold the number plates which your dad left you - presumably as other family members had the hump with them being left to you that’s a shame. If they meant so much to you could have financed them and held onto them. The issue people have with Archie is he says many things and then does the opposite - eg. Selling the British racing green RS6 which he said his dad loved and he would not sell. I appreciate Archie is young and will say and do daft things as long as he learns from his mistakes I don’t see the need to dig him out too much.

There is no rule that says we have to do the same as our parents. That’s ridiculous. If my dad was a plumber, I don’t have to be a plumber as well. We are all free to choose what we become. Archie lad, you don’t need to explain to anybody why you sold those plates or what’s happening with the business, it has nothing to do with anyone but you and your family. Keyboard warriors are not worth the waste of your time. Social media is full of spiteful jealous people who hate others achievements. Stick to what you do, you are so young to have lost your father and anyone who has experienced that type of grief will understand that when it comes to estates and wills things aren’t always as straight forward as they seem. So not only do you have to deal with your grief you have to deal with all this other stuff, it horrendous and please don’t lower yourself to these lowlifes and feel you have to explain, you don’t. No matter what you do there will always be haters, the best thing you can do is just live the best life, the life your dad wanted for you and if he was here now he would be extremely proud of you and I guarantee he would say the same. Thinking of you at this time of year, chin up lad and please please ignore the comments as they don’t know you, have never met you and know nothing about what you have been through and still going through. i was lucky enough to sit in the 1955 le mans D-Type that Duncan drove with Tony Rolt, i was about 5 years old and the car was at the former Midlands Motor Museum at Bridgnorth that close many years ago! still have a photo on a slide somewhere!

hey Archie. As a father of 4 great (adult) kids I try my hardest to guide, support and help them. Like you they don't really need it, but family stick together and work together. These people making negative comments are best ignored. I know it's hard, but the good people who follow you, will ignore it and continue to follow. You're also allowed to enjoy your inheritance in whatever way you choose!! Your Dad had that amazing knowledge because he was doing what he loved and wanted to do.
