The Sony OLED tv's use LG panels. So the base panel is going to be the same - then what it comes down to is processing, and Sony has the clear edge here.
Does the Sony A80J support TV-led Dolby Vision like the A90J ? Or did Sony keep it Player-led Dolby Vision profile like the A8H and other models in previous years ?
All the SONY TVs with an XR processor (including the A80J, A90J, X90J, X95J, & Z9J) are said to support TV-led Dolby Vision based on info I found in HDTVTest's videos and the like.
Hi. Once the feet are in place, how do you take them back out in order to change the position? I put them in the high position and I changed my mind. Thank you
@Jose Fernandez. They can be pulled back out. It takes a little bit of force, but they should just slide out pretty easily. You will need to remove and reinstall a couple screws from each foot to change the position of the pedestal after you take it out though. Thanks for watching!
@N.O. They just pull out. You'll need to apply a little force to them as you're pulling, but once they're past the internal locking mechanism, they'll slide out easily. If you are going to be switching the position of the feet, you'll need to remove two screws from each foot, then reinstall those screws to the alternate position before reinstalling the feet. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the review sony is pushing us to buy a80j over a90j, does the USA a80j have universal voltage 110v-240v? It should be written on the back of the screen.
Hi Miners cat. If you live in the Chicagoland area we actually have 2 of the A90Js on display if you're looking to check it out in person. And both the 55 and 65" models are currently in stock if you're looking to pick one up. Thanks for watching!
too bad there's no external power brick. when an external one dies you just buy a new one. when an internal dies, you have to pay someone to open it up.
A80j is a beast and gets brighter them eveyeon thought the brightness readings don't tell you that but cokaprijg it to the a90j in actual content you realize the a80j is brighter then expected but the a90j is brighter but that's the ongl difference between the 2 tvs lol no heatsink in the a80j but damn it's got everything else including the new processor and hdmi2.1 I feel it's a great buy at 2k for the 55 inch lol
Finally a reviewer in the U.S got their hands on an A80J. Can’t wait for the full review.
