Hey! That small picture in picture you did to show the size difference between the tv's was excellent! Would be great to have you use that when people are wondering about 75, 85, or the 100" options. Really good frame of reference.
Hello Brian and Jen. Thanks for the great video. I just got my 77 inch A95L and used your video to guide me on unboxing and setup. I too noticed that the screws on one of the feet seemed like they didn’t screw in all the way but it didn’t matter since I wall mounted it. Also, my screen was pristine. No scuffs, scratches or stains. It’s perfect! Just thought I’d let you and your followers know. I’m super happy with this tv. Thanks again, S.
Another great vid B. Got'a say it again, it's great to see Jen in these vids. Her enthusiastic positive attitude is great to see.
Another great video, watch all of your reviews, Keep them coming! - Australia.
Your video setup is the most realistic, out of the box has some real content to review, and more cable, and satellite reviews are realistic
Perfect timing. I have one of these arriving tomorrow
Enjoy!
Where do you connect the power cord on the tv? I can’t find it help please
We purchased the 65” version for our family Christmas gift. It has been used in for 5-days and I love the premium picture quality. Sony, the one and only!
what size is your room
don't mind me just watching this to validate my decisions since I just recently bought one lol
Make sure you buy the extended warranty. People are already reporting problems with the A95L. Google "Sony TV Consumer Affairs".
Me too, only I got a 65 for my bedroom
@@lonniewilliamson2569that’s exactly why I watched this video to justify me because I’m ready to buy the 55inch for my bedroom
Same! 😂
Te extrañamos jane😢😊 felicitaciones sn expertos en smarttv gigante, from CHILE happy cuidence ❤
Did the lower mounting area present any issues when you wall mounted it? - Also, how far away is your tv from your watching position? Thx.
Upgrade from a LG b5A from like 4 years ago and absolutely love the picture quality. The only downside is the sluggish of Google TV. LG webOS is much better and more snappier.
Nice review keep up the good work B the installer
Just ordered the 77 Cant wait
Enjoyed the video. As you get older bigger TVs are great for not stressing eyes. Beautiful tv.
thumbs up to Jen. lifting up a big TV up the stairs !
Still loving my A90j.
Great video B I am waiting until they come up with an 83’ or 85’ before I begin to consider upgrading my 83’ A90j which still looks ridiculously bright and detail to me. Anyway, great content as usual. Julio
77"A80J gets bright enough for what I watch. I think it depends on what you're watching i.e. animated movies always look bright no matter the tv. Sports always seem darker no matter the tv.
Im waiting for an 8k oled
My girlfreind stinks
I’m in the same boat with my A90J which still has an amazing picture, although I’m not changing until Sony gets at or near 100” with their top-end OLED’s
Awesome TV B and Jenn😊😊
I can’t believe this is your bedroom setup. Insane.
Thanks looking at wall mounting mine. Had a Panasonic zt65 still looks new it had a metal back where the Sony is black plastic and have to be gental when tighting them screws. Thanks buddy.
Yeah here to check out those pants ❤
Great review! Looks stunning. 😍
B..what wall mount would you recommend for mounting this 77” beast?
It's very light. Any mount will do. Cheap flush mounts, cheap arm style like the mounting Dream 3280.
The TV is light probably weighs 70lbs
Brandon, do you recommend calibrating a tv? I always think about doing it but didn't know if it's reversible if i didn't end up liking it. Thanks!
Yep. U should calibrate. U can always reset settings.
Great report! I've been waiting for this one for a long time. Suggestion: Maybe go into a bit more detail on the soundbar... which Sony sub do you have? I've seen a lot of Pro's & Cons on this 7000 soundbar... wondering what the other top bars might provide and what the comparison might be like. It would be cool if you did a video on 3 or 4 of the top sound bars and contrasted features and sound. Merry Christmas!
I like thr a7000. But I also like the sonos arc and sub, rears. It's just very good and works with anything.
buying one when I move into a new apartment next year, still love my 65" A95K though, I'll put that one in my bedroom, 77" in the living room, surprised how light it is for being that big
SAME. I STILL LOVE MY A95K.
@@MrBrickhousestill the better tv in my opinion I wouldn’t have the l if the k didn’t go faulty on me
Poor Jen had all the tv Weight going up., good video as always. I want OLED 65...
great video on of my favorite television and do you testing the sony x95l the best mini led on the market or in the us have another number in Germany the name X95l.
This TV is the best TV I've ever owned. Paired it with the A7000/SW5/RS5
Amazing video as always! Can you rate the sound without the sound bar/surround setup. I’m try to get an extra clean look for a living room. About 10 feet away in a large room.
It will work for news and sports but won't have the bass and rich sound for movies like one would want with a $5k tv
How you reccomend to clean oled screen of dust. If microfiber. Long or short nap ?
I’m thinking about getting that TV in the 77”, because I’m 12 ft away from the set. But, I don’t want to mount it. Can you install the feet closer together? And what is the distance?
4:24 Where you talk about the "film" around the edges of the screen. I'm on my 2nd panel with this problem and it seems like it's how the styrofoam packaging is pushing the wrap into the screen. The center of the panel doesn't have this. Were you able to get it off? Does it impact your viewing? Seems like an annoying problem for this price when the likely answer is use a better screen protector peel from the start.
is that sony soundbar worth getting with my a95l. also what is it with displays needing to go through setting to make it better and brighter instead of good right out of the box. i just got a macbook pro 16" m3 max and i cant seem to get find my mac to work and its switched off when it should automatically be switched on. same for like firewall.
You really need to get those cabinets on wheels! you move them so often, or mount handles on the sides of them.😋
Did you use spacer and if so were did you purchase them from?
Aside from the price, Sony is the best! And yes I have a Sony. Great video 👌
probably yes but OS is shit , when i compare with LG web os :(
Am saving up for this
Me, as well.
Man u r so lucky to get these awesome TV for free
Awesome TV! What TV Mount is this?
Sweet tv. I can’t imagine putting one in the bedroom though. Way more entertaining things are happening in there.
Hey B, were you able to buff those marks off the screen?
QD-OLEDs had the same annoying screen coating issue last year.
Did they really ?? You can’t get that off the screen I had it on all of my a95l but also had a Samsung s95c didn’t have that issue
@@DETERMINEDMINDZ Interesting.
I thought it was on all QD-OLEDs.
Could Sony have a different screen coating?
@@gorillapancake well B responded to someone and said the s95c had it but I had the s95c I didn’t see anything … I always take my iPhone light to the screen when I first get it … first time I noticed this was the a95l and you can def see it while watching depending how bad it is … at least I could … on his it’s pretty bad I’m almost certain you can see it
@@DETERMINEDMINDZ So frustrating.
All QD-OLEDs are made by Samsung Display, so maybe it's a bit of a panel lottery.
My A95L also has it, I remember not seeing it when removing the plastic but after lifting the TV I noticed it immediately. I think it is damage caused by applying too much pressure with your fingers in that area when lifting the tv.
Great video. Did I understand correctly when you said this tv enables you to use its speakers as a center channel in a home theater setup? If so, how does that work since the AVR would not be powering the center? Would you still be able to use Audessy to calibrate?
It only works with Sony tvs and Sony AVRS to assist in center channel. The sound bar also still has a center. Just improves it a bit as the oled sounds good
@@BTheInstaller thanks for quick reply! I have a Denon receiver and not crazy about my current center channel speaker so thought this might be a nice feature. Oh well.
Hey b i was wondering if the a95 offered a multiview option where i can use.2.streaming services. Id like to watch mlb tv and Disney+ when the kids are in the room. Thanks
Im looking at the A95L 65" to replace a 50" Pioneer PDP-5070HD plasma display I purchased in 2005, thats 18 years old, I always thought the picture on that tv was great so I kept it for all those years till it just stopped working this year, you said when upgrading do size first then quality, guess I would be doing both with a A95L, my question is, you can get an 77" a80L for a little cheaper than the A95L, do you think it would be more beneficial to get the larger size, or the better quality?, im sure any newer tv would be an upgrade from the pioneer panel it would be replacing.
I have an eye condition known as high-angle corneas that creates surface irregularities (A type of astigmatism) on my cornea. (diagnosed as Keracurotenosis
Love my 65 inch A95L . Watching a lot of 4k videos from UA-cam on it😍
I love my Sony A95L 65 inch much more . I watching a lot of extra bright 4K Dolby Vision movies .
Can you use any tv wall mount or do you got to use the Sony 300 dollar wall mount?
Small tv??!! these guys are crazy!
What did you mean you couldnt "dim" the samsung s95c? Are you talking about HDR content? Should have tried the energy optimization settings to dim the tv in HDR without totally destroying the PQ. Also how are you not running into the issue of the Sony being too bright? If I'm not mistaken it's just as bright if not brighter than the Samsung S95C.
Nice one.
Shame about the air vent obscuring the 🔙 wall!
I can't do a box lift in my apartment. The ceiling is only 6' and the entry door is only 5'! (It's a converted storage room! Luckily, I am only 5'5" but I have no tall friends. I had to send them away!)
A95L is best TV of 2023. If you haven't gotten it yet, wait till the new 2024 LG G4 comes out March 11th. The G4 is gonna crush this A95L and is still gonna be cheaper too! The G4 is easily going to be the best TV of 2024!

Lovely review and I hope you love it as I think you will. But it’s just too darn expensive. I’m limited to 55” and at £2999 UK as opposed to LG’s G3 at £1700, it’s a no brainer for me. It’s a shame but is it really over £1000 better than a G3? I’m afraid it isn’t. And Samsung’s dogmatic approach refusing to have Dolby Vision disqualifies it from my consideration, despite DV’s issues.
Keep ‘em coming though.
G3 is great
@@BTheInstaller it’s likely my next one when I pension off my CX but I might wait for the G4.
Where have you seen it for sale at that price?? I just bought a 55inch A95L for £2250
@@hclandscapes if you don’t mind me asking, where?
I bought my A95L from John Lewis , they were doing a 3 day promotion offer with 15% off so I got lucky there . Normal retail price is £2700 I think for the 55 inch . But I’m sure prices will go down in January
Hello thank you I love Sony.
How far from this are you watching this from? My seating is 15ft. Is that too far for this 77” tv.
What happened to the 77 inch S95C you “replaced” with the A90J?

I could've swore I already watched a video of you guys replacing the 65 inch a90j with a 77 inch in the bedroom
It's a constant rotation of tvs in our house!
Go Pack Go!
It’s worth the money because it’s a Sony and you invest in those as keeper tv for few years..I placed my order for one but went qn900c 8k tv mostly because of the position of the tv to a large window,,and the Denon avr8500ha upscale everything to 8k 75inch ,,,I played with both in store and got a fantastic picture on both to my eye …the 8k has a self calibration app that gets a good all round setting .. growing to enjoy this fellers channel more and more Jen adds a certain amount of watch ability 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The qn900c is absolutely not worth it. I always do side by side demos with a x90k on streaming and customers who are not enthusiast can tell the last year mid range Sony beats it.
@@su6oi well being fed any source via my Denon 8k ide have to say I’m more than impressed also I spent a lot of time testing tv in store and other peoples tv and came to my choice , with my eyes in the bright daytime it’s amazing picture also great in reduced light setting in evening..I say this you say that it’s your money make a choice but I’m more than excited by picture ..
What do you do with your old tvs
Hey man I just got the 65" and in professional mode and felt really dull didnt notice u could go in that eco mode did u keep your tv in professional or leave it in standard ?
Edit: could u maybe make a video or something on different settings u did for movies/sports etc 👍
I use cinema. Also remember there are brightness settings... professional starts with luminance "off" and should be at high. Cinema, high luminance, motion smoothness at 1, clearness min.. you can add live color if desired I think it looks great and definitely all the Ambient and power savings off
@BTheInstaller ahh thank you for this iv just got it stuck in mothers back bedroom atm waiting on mortgage around jan/Feb ill definitely look at this wheb I set bk up

@@BTheInstaller Thanks for the response. Love you guys videos very informative and entertaining. I bought the 98” TCL S series from Best Buy for $2,499.00 based on your recommendations and Best Buy delivered the 98 TCL QM8 instead….. When I realized what TV they had delivered my jaw dropped. I may have gotten the best deal of the year on the QM8 considering they are retailing at $5,999.00 at Best Buy right now.
Did those marks whip off or was it a defect?
I'm fairly price minded that being said I would gladly pay a premium if I can have a mind blowing experience. I unfortunately do not pick up on the subtle difference between some of these TV's with my eyes weather its slightly brighter slightly more accurate blah blah blah. I look at these TV's side by side at bestbuy and if I can barely tell the difference in picture then I look at price because value means more then an updated TV or brand name
Just purchased one, best picture I have ever seen
Could this replace my QN900B 8k 75in? Store demo not realistic
Did that stuff on the screen come off with a cloth?
The biggest TV I have in my home is 42'. I used to think that was enormous, but now I know..........
Cheers for the review. Great TV but damn it's pricey. Not too far off for CES now, so be good to see if anything is announced then. Those bright green leggings were also a big distraction 😅
Great TV , but too expensive !
For me the G3 65 .
Greetings from Germany
Do you use spacers when mounting? Concerned about the plastic.
I'm not sure what plastic you are concerned about. You should use spacers if needed to make sure the bolts fasten tight and the brackets can't move around. Hope that helps.
Due you use spacer and if so were did you get them?
As I said, you use them if needed to make sure the bolts tighten. They normally come with tv mounts or you can get washers at hardware stores that can fill that gap as well.
I wish I could have as much money as B then I could buy a lot of TV's too LOL 😆
"small is relative" "yeah, that's what she said" 😂
Do you have a calibration video?
What about the problem with the broken Dolby Vision?
Which mount holds that 77"?
The tv I want is that budget 98inch TCL...thxs
Which out of these TV’s would be the proper upgrade from my 65” A8H? I want a 77” so it’s either gonna be A80L, LG C3 or Samsung S90C. I love Sony but I’m not dropping 5k on a TV, I can’t justify it. I’m leaning on the S90C cuz it’s QD-Oled but, help!!
I've got this coming next week replacing my 55 a90j wanted something bigger it does worry me how the screen is wrapped was you able to get the marks off the screen
Mine no I have had to have mine replaced bad marks allover
Been told HDMI 4 doesn't support Dolby Vision 😮
Plus it has bugs that need fixing
How does the a95l 77” compare to a90j 83”. Is it still worth getting the 83” a90j over the 77” a95l for $900 less.
Oh yeah, that's a good deal. The 83" a90j is awesome. So for less, lose a little brightness but still amazing quality tv. I would probably get the 83 for a living room. Probably a 50/50
I still love my A90J but this has me wandering? Has this got a light on remote?
How far did you have to wander to find out about the remote ? 😂
Im Stuck between buying a LG C3 / Samsung sc95 which would you recommend?
If you game don't get the 95c I heard you get a black screen while playing, but I didn't think it was a widespread problem and I wouldn't get it but I did. The screen would randomly go black. Also my OTA channels would go black after 5 minutes of watching. From what I read and understand, apparently it's due to something with the one connect box. I ended up sending it back and getting this tv, the a95l . It's unfortunate because the Samsung 95c looked amazing.
Thank you! C3 here we go! @@lonniewilliamson2569
Save some brass and get the s90c it's a banging tv and I've never got any of this black screen. The picture is fantastic.
@paulmidgley8040 I was going to do that as well. IMO it's the best value out there. However I went with the A95L and can't complain.
@@paulmidgley8040I got the s90c 77” last week. Gamed on it the last couple days with my Xbox series X. I can’t believe how responsive and smooth everything is, just like my gaming monitor. Some games I can use my keyboard and mouse and it’s hilarious that a 77” can be a monitor with no sacrificing. One thing I was not expecting is the amount of light outputs a 77” screen gives off, at night I prefer to use the auto dimming feature. I really don’t think brightness is a legitimate selling point anymore, it’s beyond my expectations!
I will second a previous comment, were you able to remove the marks you noticed on the panel??? I have heard the A95L damages/scratches easy.
too many people have complained about those marks, they do not come off.
They don’t come off I contacted Sony … after all 5 of mine had it … what a loss they took on those right … and it’s always in a different spot … mine wasn’t at the top left like B … I had bottom left on one tv , middle of the screen on one , one was so bad it was across the entire middle of the screen
@@DETERMINEDMINDZ that’s sad for what is supposed to be a master series tv 😞😞
@@videobandit how does that make it through quality control
No I haven't tried. It makes no difference for the picture quality. It's just annoying you guys. The S95C has it as well. It's a QD oled thing
Wow 😊
The great review aside, I appreciated your comments as a voiceover while cycling through the movies, tv, and menus. Watched too many reviews where its 2 minutes of watching someone talk then 10 seconds of footage on the tv.
Do you change tvs like women do with purses that frequently?!? I didn’t think this tv was worth double the price of the 77” A80L and I seen both side by side. I landed on the 77” A80L personally and have the same full A7000 setup as well.
If there was an 83”, I would buy.
I remember when your channel was new and videos kinda lame. Then Jen came and made your videos awesome and the rest of your content got better too😂.
B …. I had the exact same stuff on all 5 of my 77 inch a95l’s … couldn’t get a single one without that … I told Sony about the defect but I’m not paying 5k for that .. Samsung has qd oled and doesn’t have that issue … other than that terrible defect it was the best picture I’ve ever seen … but I just wanted to let you know it’s not your tv … I had it on all 5 … sometimes it was in the corner , sometimes in the middle but it was on every single one. It’s like under the screen too cause I tried to get it off it doesn’t come off
I've gone through several A95Ls as well and they all had it. The one I ended up keeping has it. Sony really needs to switch to a protective film like everyone else.
@@craiglyons2314 I wonder if it’s not having the plastic protection on it like everyone else does … but it seems like it’s under the front glass … I loved the Sony … minus the 2 hdmi 2.1 and a little more input lag … but for me that was unacceptable for 5k
Anyone else have this with the HT-a9? If so do you prefer the speakers alone or using the tv as center + ht a9?
I have the HTA9 and had my A90J... it doesn't provide the best center channel alone. I prefer the HTA7000 And an oled because the soundbar and tv are center channel and it provides more clear dialog. The ht a9 is nice but I use now without the center on my projector. It should just have its own center speaker tbh
I like the way those feet fit on. so much better than LG and trying to lift the tv while putting the post in the hole! Getting it out again is hard too once those clips lock in. I snapped the clips on one of them when I took it off after wall-mounting the TV. LG's feet are not wide enough. I have had to save a child from a falling TV once because her parents didn't strap it to the wall! I also had an LG pivot on the strap when a shelf collapsed and landed on my head resulting in five stitches! That's why I always tell parents to wall-mount the TV when they have small children! It's just too dangerous with these larger TVs!
The A95L is a very bad wall mounting TV!
