Nick is one of the rare reactors that can be both funny and thorough while reacting at the same time without sacrificing one or the other....
Yeah fr bruh i think the same like u
so true
Aint that the truth, he just has so much charisma i love it hehe.
Yes he represent me,he bring the best of both world, he pay attention and is funny.
Exactly! Even when he’s joking about something you still know he completely understands what’s going on
9:56 No, Hiroyuki Sawano is a composer. He’s the one who made 86 music and played piano in the AOT video
This was also sang by Yosh, who is the lead singer for Survive Said the Prophet!
Hiroyuki Sawano is an anime musical legend
And Guilty Crown OST, and all the music for Re:Creators...
@@traphimawari7760 also videgames
Id be so down for Nick to do a Hiroyuki Sawano reaction video.
Re: Zero is basically "hey this is dark but you are going to learn how to love yourself" and Violet Evergarden is "beautiful art to make you cry"
In regards to Re:Zero I just finished watching it yesterday and YES it is 100% worth your time it’s super good. It’s dark and edgy but has amazing music and character development and direction. It’s got like 50 episodes so it’s got a good amount to react to but isn’t overwhelming.
The overwhelming part not that true I stopped watching after the first season I can’t watch my guy die again
W
The ending you've heard from Re:Zero "Stay Alive" is a "character song" meaning they're being sung by the actors who play the character and are about that character, so Rie Takahashi is the actress that voices Emilia in this anime, and the song is about Emilia.
Re:zero OST hits different. Everytime they get played they carry so much meaning its actually insane

Hiroyuki Sawano is a composer. He composed the OST for Attack on Titan and many other great ones. So you've heard his work multiple times. It's ingrained in your mind at this point. You See Big Girl, Barricades, they're all his compositions
He's the guy at the piano @NicholasLightTV
@@NeedBackup_ ye, that too. You were wondering who he was.. That's Sawano-san
He is a good reactor! Nick if you see this check out this song, I think you will like it. Look forward for Vinland saga episode 8 reaction ua-cam.com/video/zcFTJdBzFYc/v-deo.html
The best composer (at least for me)
And, Yosh is the Vocalist of Survivor Said the Prophet. The band made MUKANJO.
love your reaction
Madoka Magica is definitely something you should check out because it defines the genre it's in.
RE:Zero is definitely gonna get you on an emotional level. Some of the stuff in there is pretty fucked but a lot of people love it for that. I think you'd enjoy it!
🤝
Clannad is one of the saddest Anime of all time if not the most saddest, it's story is incredible touching and heartbreaking and it changed my perspective on life
Clannad sucks balls.
Clannad AFTER STORY however...
Facts.
How was it compared to grave of fireflies?
@@baby_r4gna628 in my opinion Clannad, specifically the "after story" is sadder than grave of the fireflies, although i might be bias, considering that i saw that 2nd season all in one go
@@carlosestrada4694 nah you’re right. Clannad Afterstory is where it really picked up. The first season just felt like I was watching an animatated dating sim game.
You would be singing a different tune if you watched Clannad, Angel Beats and Ano Hana’s EDs after watching each series. Those EDs just hit different if you know the context behind them.
Also, you really should check Kabaneri’s whole ED. It might be my favorite anime ED of all-time.
You know what was my favorite ED in this video was? Your ED Nick! I'm always chilling on your ED and just loving it every time 😎
Re:Zero has a complicated story and an exceptional voice actor, so it's really good.
AN? many exceptional VAs. The story is amazing, great world building and characters.
@@_wabes1136 I'm sorry. I said it in a good way, but maybe the translation didn't go well.
Same va as senku right?
@@r-e-ndraws Yes, Subaru and Senku are the same voice actor.
yeah, i feel like MC voice carried at least half of the show on his shoulders
13:57 So glad to see Samurai Champloo ending is on here! You should definitely give the show a watch. I was hoping and praying that Inuyasha's 2nd ending Fukai Mori was on the list, it's so good!
Samurai Champloo has one of the best openings and endings in all of anime imo
@@JewJitSuSixty9 Totally agree dude 👌
El opening y el ending de Samurai Champloo son de lo mejor, aún están en mi playlist no importa que hace (creo) 10 años lo haya visto en Cartoon network
samurai champloo is goated in terms of music, rip nujabes
Gah! I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who got excited by that!
It's short and sadly often forgotten to the past, but it's a creative masterpiece and I hope he watches it along with Cowboy Bebop. 🙏
9:36 Yes as others have said this is Sawano, but also Yosh is the vocalist from Survive said the Prophet (Mukanjyo)
Glad to see the FireForce ending 1 up there. Many people miss out on that ending but It's a great ending song and also my fav one, along with Black Clover ending 5, considering Black Clover does really well with it's music, ed 5 has a really catchy music and also does very well in lyrics. Not to mention, The Song Artist for both Black Clover op 5 and ed 5 is quite young. She was 16 when she released both songs.
Anyways, I would definitely love to see you check out FireForce ending 1 - Veil.
7:04 never judge a book by it's cover. Clannad is a masterpiece
Not a masterpiece. It's a fuckin masterpiece.

you are disrespecting Clannad by saying it's just a masterpiece
Nothing will ever beat Clannad for me
For anyone that hasn't heard this

7:01 Clannad ending make me so emotional, like I actually get teary eyed especially when you know the context of the ending song within the anime. It’s a lullaby in this masterpiece anime 😭
I cried when I performed this on piano on a stream. I lost my fiancé and related so hard to the anime...
@@PogMcDog man..... That must be very painful...
Nick just doesn't know the Clannad feels i can't blame him. Only anime that made me cry like a mf.
The world will be a better place if everyone watch Clannad after story :,)
Let's top this message.
Nick really need watch clannad ( ;∀;)
The show makes me PTSD
Umm if you were thinking of watching a sports anime and were looking for a short one there's Stars Align which has like 12 episodes I'm pretty sure. It's really good. Also if you are going to react to anymore openings I would recommend trigun (the original not that remake) and baccano! Love your videos as always!
Dude, you should definitely check the Your Lie in April openings, they're incredible!
Re: Zero is a really good anime to react to. Very emotional, has a (semi) unique concept (if i remember correctly), and on top of that the music and voice acting for this anime is amazing.
As for sports anime, I've only watched Haikyuu (which is not a basketball anime btw, it's a volleyball anime) and Blue Lock. I love both animes but to me Blue Lock has that little extra kick to it (... pun unintended). I recommend watching both!
exactly bro both animes are good but blue lock has the action and coldness kick to it (pun unintended aswell) like bro isagi and nagi on the episodes rn are cold asf
YYEEEEEESSSSS, it would be sooo fun to watch him react to Re:zero. I’m already thinking about ep 15 😏
well they are completely different types of anime besides being a sports anime. Hard to compare them. Haikyuu is number 1 for me but Blue Lock is up there.
Wait till arc 6 gets adapted. That will easily make it the best anime ever
I don't think he would enjoy re:zero because for the entirety of season 1 Subaru is an annoying little shit and I could barely sit through it.
17:22 Definitely check out the full versions for the Overlord ED's. They are just as good as the OP's in my honest opinion. All of the music is so good.
Overlord mentioned
I agree.
i can't wait your next video ❤️❤️
wow, i didnt really expect nick to like the bungou stray dogs music, especially endings. although i appreciate you liking them, as a person that loves bsd so much. the new opening is pretty good and you already heard it, but there is now a version with different visuals you may like more, so id recommend checking that out :3
So on madoka magica (the Magia ending): Don't be distraught by the openning being very girly, it's the kind of bait and swithc anime that gets really dark after a few episodes (ep 3 to be exact).
If you want to watch it go ahead, it's 12 episode long.
It Has three movies, but 2 of them are re-caps, and the third one (Rebellion) is.. an experience like no other.
Tho if you see something call Magia record, don't bother with it, has it is the gacha game adaptation (game that merchandisng for the original show btw). And it really doesn't hit has hard has the OG.
Bro he needs to check out madoka magica it's a masterpiece
when i heard that song i almost cry again :)
@@yuukicode0310 I expected it to not be there for some reason.
But when I heard it I had a big smile on my face kek
samurai champloo was has a huge inspiration from hip hop, the entire tone of the show is a fusion between hip hop and samurai culture
Nujabes rest in beats.
"Unlasting" By Lisa is probably the most UNDERATED Lisa songs. It's beautiful with it's lyrics and has an amazing melody, cause it's Lisa.
Ong especially the first take
15:46 Loving the little bit of love for Miura Daichi there! Man's got a beautiful voice and I'm glad it was showcased in that segment for Nick to hear!
5:55 This Bakemonogatari and Monogatari series as a whole is such a masterpiece. It's easily TOP15 anime of all time.
But it's really anime-ish anime and have a lot of conversation so I want you to try it when you get used to weirdness and degeneracy of anime lol
Yea Monogatari is incredible but shouldn't be watched unless you've got several series under your belt and even then it's very unique editing and pacing make it not the easiest show to start watching but once you get used to how the show flows it's peak.
物語シリーズは日本人じゃないと全部を理解するのは難しいと思う
I'm so happy to hear that Nick is finally considering to watch re:zero! Hope he actually does it!
Isekai doesn't seem to be something he would like...but let's see
@@spagooba215 yeah but this is one of those more"realistic" way of isekai where the main character is powerless and has to rely on trial and error for his survival lol
@@spagooba215 re:zero is more than the average isekai
@@spagooba215 I don't know , but re:zero is kinda different with those events happening in it
He’s watched rezero and admitted it’s one of his top favorites
13:02 Nick, you should check that one out sometime actually. It is a pretty good story. Comedy show, with a twist, brief overview: these people are all stuck in limbo pretty much waiting to move on, limbo for some reason is pretty much a high school setting, and these guys in that pic are the rebellion fighting to not move on or something, bit foggy on that part it has been a while. Good random ass comedy though with a halfway decent plot and low on the fan service that ruins things so often in my opinion.
since nick likes re:zero and overlord, i would recommend going through all the isekai quartet (re:zero, overlord, tanya the evil and konosuba) they are all unique and insane in their own ways, also there is a another anime where all of them combine (called isekai quartet obviously, thats how they got their name)
Brother Nicholas, Kurokos Basketball is right down your alley. It is complete. No need to wait for new seasons. Has some of the best action in anime. You will want to binge it once you get to the first match.
man Nick, me personally never felt too atracted to re:zero because of its fandom ofc, but once I've just decided to give it a try and man... it was a first time i cried in the first ep (actually the second one, cuz this anime have specific structure) and mostlt it'a because how beautiful ED1 is
Sawano Hiroyuki is a composer! He wrote the AOT soundtrack and many others including the song in this video :))) One of the most prolific composers currently
Dick Fight Island....it's been a while since I'd last heard about that manga. It wasn't a bad read, but I was just as surprised as you when I saw it on the shelf at a book store (I also have a picture of it in my camera roll).
Clannad is one of the most beautiful anime I know out there, one of my absolute favorites next to AoT and One Piece - it just changes you, in a postive sense.. While I would not recommend reacting to it, watching it on your own or with your girlfriend is definitely something to consider. My now boyfriend showed it to me a few years ago since it was his favorite anime and we both still and always will treasure it in our hearts. We're still sometimes just gifting the other one a dango (these wonderfully cute colored (rice-)balls u saw in the ending there) - so yeah... I can only tell u to give it a try, it's the most wholesome anime I know! The second Opening also got a wonderful song if u wanna check that one out ~
Try to watch the full creditless ED of Kyoukai No Kanata. It's "Daisy". Number 49 on the list.
Also, Re:Zero reaction please!
I want to see your full reactions, but I have no way to pay Patreon :(. Greetings from Colombia
Honestly, I haven't watched that many basketball anime but Kuroko is so crazy and fun and I love it because of that♥I'm sure you're going to like it Nick! 😊
Go for slam dunk. 👌🏻
Blue Lock is a sports anime that is the definition of hype! Never a dull moment and the second opening is my favorite! The visuals of the opening are stunning! The anime is wild!! I would love to see your reaction to it!!
Let's hope
bro especially when isagi scored the last goal vs team V (nagi reo etc...) and then theres a little pause and then the music starts to blasts and tickle your balls
I still haven't gotten over that scene where he figured out his formula and they decided to put 50% of their entire animation budget into one kick.
You definitely need to check out Samurai Champloo someday, it's just too good
Someone has probably already pointed it out, however the one from Owari no Seraph with Sawano Hiroyuki.
The singer on that track is Yosh, you might know him better as the vocalist of Survive Said The Prophet :)
Nick! speaking of music, did you see Tomorrow x Together (TxT) has a concert in NC in May?!?! (Everlasting Shine from Black Clover!)
7:57 YES, YOU GOTTA CHECK IT OUT.
Madoka Magica is the best anime for me AND it's got the best ending. Kalafina is a Crazy underrated group!
Agreed, "Magia" is incredible, it still gives me the chills.
He should react to the first ED too. I wanna see him get confused by that contrast.
All the Kalafina songs (and the FictionJunction songs too) are written by Yuki Kajiura, who is an absolute legend in anime music. She did the OSTs for Demon Slayer, Madoka Magica, Sword Art Online, and many more.
Sad that they disbanded. I wish Kalafina was still together.🥲
I would love to see him react to the masterpiece that is Madoka Magica!
Kalafina as a whole is such a great listen. Yuki Kajiura made a masterpiece of a group
100%
Very happy that Bungo Stray Dogs made it 2 times into the list !!!! Every opening by Luck Life is made SOOOO uncredibly beautiful, they are just amazing. I think it's the only anime where the endings are even better than the already very good opening!!!!
I need to continue BSD soon, heard the same.
Nick, Re:Zero is amazing.. You're definitely gonna regret watching it, but for all the right reasons. Looking forward to your reactions. Hope you take your time watching it when you are comfortable, it's a hell of a ride!
Would love for you to watch the full version of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas opening from Hunter x Hunter (2011) ED1.
17:47, Chika Dance
as soon as the angel beats one played i had to take a breather because i started crying
Number 62 (Aldnoah.Zero ED2) is so wild. Its a track with mixed lyrics in japanese, english and german, which has a meaning not alone through the pure text, but also a second layer through the way its pronounced. As a german who is currently learning japanese, I had so much fun reading the lyrics and I am still fascinated by it. Hiroyuki Sawano is a composer who does tracks with many different people and is most known for his work on AoT these days. He often uses german and english in his works.
People need to stop sleeping on Aldnoah Zero, the soundtrack is a masterpiece
the anime sucks ass tho
10:00 that Hajime no Ippo ED still hits me to this day, Hajime no Ippo is an OG boxing anime, very funny, and very good fights as well
ReZero is Japanese masterpiece.
"I'm gonna have the greatest time ever!"
- Natsuki Subaru
@@kuarifu*literally has the worst time ever*
You should definitely check Re:Zero. It has the most "real" main character u could find in anime. He actually has flaws, makes mistakes and sometimes acts like an idiot cuz he’s a just human being and not a perfect protagonist like in most shows. But the best thing about Re:Zero has to be it’s dialogues so I’m sure you’re gonna like it.
22:49 YES. NICK, keep going, Part3 is Masterpiece
The samurai Champloo ending (as well as the entire anime ost) was produced by Nujabes, one of the pioneers of Lofi along with J Dilla. Rest in peace.
Gintama fr has the best set of Anime Music(Ops,Ed's and ost)
The OST of every character is so fitting and I recommended to hear the Ost of Takasugi....
Every single entrance of Takasugi with his ost never fails to give me goosebumps. And ost for zura, that one was so nostalgic..
Full version of that one Naruto ending with him looking dead in the grass lmao! The song somehow always makes me wanna cry even if it sounds weird. It's just condensed childhood loneliness
Yes, please check out the op/ed for Madoka. The contrast is fun
The No. 28 Clannad is a peak ED for a different reason. It's too calming to be considered a great ED by many but everyone who watched Clannad would cry at the sound of it....
If you're doing a sports anime, definitely go for Haikyuu first. It's a really good starter since it's chill. Kuroko no Basket is also really good, but I'd watch that after Haikyuu.
Upp
Up 🔼
Definitely react to a full version of Shiki no Uta (#61 on this list, and the ending song to Samurai Champloo). Hopefully this will lead you to a path of discovery on the anime Samurai Champloo and the legendary artist Nujabes.
Sawano Hiroyuki is the composer who colaborates with many musical artist just like Yosh, the main vocalist from Survive Said the Prophet
Nick, as you may have been told, Hiroyuki Sawano is the composer for Attack on Titan. As a longtime fan of his, I can tell you that what happens is that when his name is used in Japanese (澤野弘之) or in Roman alphabet, he is promoted as *soundtrack composer;* instead, SawanoHiroyuki[nZk] would be his "vocal project" in which he's known as *composer of openings, endings or insert music for video games with the support of various artists from different musical genres* (mostly Japanese).
Finally, I cordially invite you to listen to all of "UnChild", which is a collaborative album with the fabulous Aimer in 2014, which was the first album that gave birth to all this wonderful project ❤️
Samurai Champloo is a must-watch imo. It's nice and short too
Please Nick
Consider watching Re:Zero, the twist at each single episode is always mind blowing and i know you'll fall for it (i heard that a certain "Rem" is the best girl, i don't know her though)
The MC is a "little bit" infuriating yet absolutely lovely, and you'll love his story on the 2nd season.
0:32 a lot of times the dubs will make their own endings to fit our commercial breaks or to add more credits, and honestly they usually just chop it up into still clips and shorten the song, I have also seen them just reuse the opening on some still shots or pick an entirely new song. Sometimes, and ive honestly seen it only a couple times, Kenshin for instance just off the top of my head, they fully redub the OP or ED song in English. This is more common with things prior to streaming existing honestly.
So he probably isn't saying anything against them, just saying he is using the originals.
Also that Dango song, that ending has nothing to do with the show, if I remember correct and not confusing it for another, that show will hit you squarely in the feels.
Nick's reaction to Free! Was me as well but then I got hooked
Also Nick should react to Madoka Magica. I think he would have a time with that one
Edit: didn't expect to see Bananafish on here and having RED just pop up killed me emotionally
I pressed the notifications and I'm here but not sure what to comment on considering I haven't still watched it fully.
Love your Videos, Nick, I could see me in you.
You have surpassed a lot of my very old anime reaction channels that I used to watch and won my interest in your content. Not easy considering I love Nostalgia.
Talking about sports anime, both "Kuroko no basket" and "Haikyuu" have their charms and intensity.
So i would say, watch both. They are more than just "anime about sports", there's a reason why they are on top of many charts, all category. You may not be ready, but when you'll begin, you won't be able to stop untill the end.
Nick, you like everything
Koutetsujou No Kabaneri is a really good series. It's directed by the same person as Death Note and Attack on Titan; Tetsuro Araki.
Number 29: Kekkai sensen ed 1, in the anime community we all agree it is one of, if not, THE BEST anime ED to ever created, you should check it out, and the anime is awfully underated. That show is just good
And Your Lie in April and Anohana, if you want to cry just watch it, those just mesh with your emotion.

hey NICK DO TOU KNOW? THE ATTACK ON TITAN FINAL PART 3 OPENING IS ALREADY COME OUT. "UNDER THE TREE" THE SONG IS NOT TO BANGER BUT THE SONG IS RELATE TO MIKASA AND EREN
14:16 Damn right. Samurai champloo is an amazing anime with one of the best ost out there
It doesnt end, every new series is two new bangers to enjoy
"You ever see something really cute but you get really irritated at the same time"
I assure you that is a normal reaction to Chika
Kuroko no Basket, Hajime no Ippo and Haikyuu, imo these are the best sports anime that a person who just got into anime should watch, 1. they are enjoyable 2. they are easy to digest and 3. the music slaps
One of the reason to react to RE0 is for that 50 minutes first episode, it is just crazy! I never saw an anime do that!
I’m back… someone said that the new anime Oshi no ko have 90 minutes in first episode… WTF
23:12 the full versions of bungo stray dogs ed2 and owari no seraph ed1! :)
also you should totally check out blue lock im obsessed
Samurai Champloo easily has one of the most iconic OST's in anime. RIP Nujabes the goat
The metal guy you were talking about is actually Yosh - the vocalist of Survive Said the Prophet!
I would love to see Nick react Violet Evergarden. I can't imagine how it will be.
It's true, I really really wanna see that reaction
I like both kuroko no basuke and haikyuu, but haikyuu is on another level for me personally. so much passion, meaning and motivation in one title🔥🔥 and it also is so inspirational due to its realistic side!
Blue lock > both
@@benwalker4305 nah
Hajime no Ippo is the best of the sports anime… plot-wise. Animation isn’t as good as Haikyuu/Blue Lock or music as good as Kuroko but the storytelling is next level
@@johnnykiehn1872 The only sports series that I think stands toe to toe with Hajime no Ippo is Slam Dunk content wise.
You must watch Slam Dunk, it's by the same author as Vagabond 🙏
Nick try Clannad Opening too i think you may like one of the song because one of goddess voice is there
The Samurai Champloo one please the show is phenomenal and the opening and ending song are the freaking best
21:30 it's surpassingly 18 Endings💀
Not an ending, but I highly recommend the opening song of Juuni Taisen (zodiac war), its called Rapture by panaroma panama town. You will 1000000% love it.
There is also an anime called Carole and Tuesday. Its a music anime so theres a lot of songs in there.
For sports anime, Haikyuu and Blue Lock are amazing! Re:zero is my personal favourite isekai novel series. The anime adaptation is faithful to it with amazing voice acting. It has made me cry like, 5 times or something (in anime). And 20 times in novel hahah.
Absolutely check out Madoka Magica. Clannad's ED is a little weird without any context, so I recommend checking the opening too. Also recommend Angel Beats, Noragami and especially Erased.
Parasyte seems like the perfect anime for you. You love the opening and the ending is amazing as well!
Not you doing Free! dirty at 2:39 😂
Free! Is a swimming sports anime. The ending song is just a funny ending in general imo
So, there's a lot of sports anime, but the most famous are Haikyuu (about volleyball), Kuroko no basket, and Blue lock (about soccer/football). These are the most "famous" but there are more, for example a sport anime that it's not very well known is Free!! (02:29) one of my favourite anime. (sorry for the bad english) Greetings from Italy!!
Nick thinking what the hell was that Clannad song while I’m here crying
Sawano Hiroyuki is a japanese God-tier composer. He composed OSTs for AOT, Owari no Seraph, 86 etc.
10:40 That escalated quickly xD
15:05 You spited on the cable of your headphones XD
Completed like 100+ animes n still ReZero ranks at the peak!! That shit made me attached to anime. I don't think something could replace it from that spot.
they didn't even include:
Bleach ED29
Boruto ED6
Boruto ED7
Boruto ED15
Naruto Movie 1 ED
Boku no Hero ED3
Boku no Hero ED5
JJBA Stone Ocean ED1
Fate/Stay Night UBW ED 1
majority in the list are upbeat and rock in general while rock is like the epitome of J-Pop music. Some EDs are often overlooked and brutally underrated. You should check these out too.
P.S
Boruto might have a negative reputation but it sure does have a good share of good OPs and EDs
