This is officially my favorite moment in all of Anime. So far..
ALL my Hunter x Hunter reactions are on Patreon. www.Patreon.com/NicholasLightTV
We have about 10 episodes left and we’re finishing it this month. We also finished Black Clover last week.
WHEN WILL THE HXH REACTIONS COME TO THE YOUS TUBES😭😭😭
Watch OVERLORD after HxH is done!!!
you should watch my hero academia. same vibes in last seasons

Fun fact, this is the first episode you hear Killua's footsteps the entire show, as he approaches "adult" Gon. He is in such disbelief he lets his assassin training go away for a moment. Love the vids.
I thought it was because he didn’t care about being quiet, the only thing on his mind was reaching gon as fast as possible
@@AcExMBarthats litterly what dude wrote…
oh WOW thanks for that tidbit
@@AcExMBar That is what they meant. He didn't care enough to move like an assassin and soften his footsteps.
Not true. When Gon and Killua were training using Binolt, you’d hear Killua’s footsteps.
It's not the transformation itself that makes this moment so iconic, but it's all the emotions felt. From Gon's anger, sadness, and just seeing Killua's reaction to his friend losing it. Just incredible!
Ya this is my fav moment from hunter x hunter as well. I really can't see gon's comeback into the main story.
From all the chaos, then all ends with emptiness.
Don't forget the voice acting!
@@omkarsingh279 he doesnt get more than like a cameo on the current manga. All the main players are nen users and gons just living on the farm with his aunt
Don't forget the nosy narrator too 🗿☝️
gon was always a ticking time bomb. from a lovely lil innocent character- turned to a monster… and next we see the king becoming humanized. oh the parallels
yeah the human into a monster and the monster into a human....hxh is ssoooooo amazing
the parallels from meruem to gon are just soooo good
@@joshuathierry9445 question how can gon become a monster when all he did was in all logic according to his human emotion, even the narrator of this arc already said humans are worse than monster, meanwhile meruem was adapting to humans not just in language or aura but he gained emotional attachment
What’s truly terrifying is imagining Gon naturally training and progressing his Nen for decades like Netero’s punch of gratitude, to a point where he naturally achieves his “Monster Form”.
being a descendant of ging he hypothetically definitely would've had the potential to be top 3 nen users of all time given 3-4 decades
not even becasue in the manga the form he grew up to was only a teenage version of him so maybe like 2decades max he looks like an adult here but in manga he was just a teeanger
@@gausly1032
20-30 years and he would be literally one of the strongest nen users
@@gausly1032 also gings dad has even greater achivment
unlikely
the monster form was all nen he could ever use plus his entire life force
This episode was just GOOSEBUMPS. Can't describe it better in one word.
It’s funny cuz this was my least favorite episode of the entire show.
I thought this was too much of an asspull. Like all of a sudden the character becomes stronger than almost all characters in the show just because he is mad. The power of rage in anime 😅
Even if the writer gives an explanation, it still comes off as bad writing and plot armor to me and make all the hype around the strength of the guards worthless. It would have been better if they had found a way to win using Komugi, using the psychology of the characters instead of the classic main character just suddenly overpowering everyone
@@madluccimusic6722 he made an oath to himself, just like how Kurapika did to gain an advantage over the phantom troupe. The more you are willing to sacrifice, the higher the power will be that you obtain. Kurapika swore to use his chains only against the troupe, not that much of a scrifrice compared to Gon, who was willing to never use his Nen again after this fight. He literally sacrifriced his whole fighting power or you could say his life force, because that's what nen essentially is, just to beat Pitou. It perfectly makes sense why he is so strong here, it's not just because he's mad.
Yeah, not a huge fan of that. With Kurapika too. Like you can just make an oath to yourself to beat someone and suddenly beat it no matter the gap in strength/power. Almost anyone can defeat anyone with that trick, which makes the all the rest meaningless.
Like Kurapika trained his nen only for 6 months only and he can beat easily the troupe which were the strongest characters we had seen up to that points, with dozens of years of Nen experience.
@@theculturedone6275it makes sense with the nen why he is so strong but storytellingwise, it’s poor in my opinion
@@madluccimusic6722 yeah, totally understand your point. I like this because you have to sacrifice something to gain something, you are not getting are dragonball-esque random power up but i see your point.
Nobody is talking about it but Pitou's loyalty towards the king that she showed during this fight is really admirable
Her loyalty lies not with the king but with meruem sort of the oposite of pouf. Also its beautiful that through her love for him she was able to learn emphaty and genuenly apologise to Gon.
i watched this show 9 times, i know im crazy but i still think i can rewatch this again . this is peak
Guess we are both crazy
good to know x)
for me its the 4 rewatch with nick but this episode I rewatched like 100 time by now, every damn time goosebumps all over my body
i watched it 3 times but everytime i forgot the whole plot
@@DoubleAAce I wish I was you ngl
The way he screamed PITOU when he transformed was the icing on the cake
The voice acting is really incredible in this episode, i think the scream as he impale her with the arm is incredible hard to act
"I don't care if this is the end", these words of Gon were so heavy. Give up of his nen, his sanity, his life, everything. Just for revenge. This is what excessive optimism does to an innocent child, when your expectations are broken you lose your mind, that's why some characters thought he was dangerous.
It's not that he's optimistic and lost his mind. Like Zepile mentioned, Gon doesn't care about right or wrong, innocent curiosity is what drives him. That's why he committed to revenge at the cost of everything. He just doesn't see it as "wrong".
@@NeedBackup_Why do people try to pretend that a 12 year old boy who has no emotional defences is a ‘monster’. It’s ridiculous. Yes, he temporarily loses his mind, but it’s not as though he savagely attacks an innocent person. The person he’s killing is a murderer, and one who was about to kill him. Gon and Killua together would have had no chance against it if Gon hadn’t made this incredible transformation. It nearly killed him, but it also saved his life, and that of Killua. We talk about ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ as though most people’s favourite character isn’t a multiple murderer.
It's not "just for revenge" though it's Pitou's fault for driving a child into a corner and forcing him to retaliate. She forced him to make that condition in self-defense against her.
@@harpe9415 Yes, I find people's incessant desire to characterise Gon as some kind of psychopath descending into darkness as really weird. This is not the real world. Every character in HunterxHunter is what would, in our world, be "a psychopath". Gon is more emotional than some. He attaches to people easily and they attach to him. He also might have this extreme moment (and we don't even know if it would have happened had Pitou not attacked him), but when he recovers his health, he is back to his usual self. He apologizes for what he said to Killua in the heat of the moment, finally meets his (very disappointing) father, and in general, is more like a child again.
"Just for revenge". And to save his own life, because Pitou was about to kill him. Everyone seems to forget that part. They also forget the fact that this was TEMPORARY. Yes, Gon lost his shit and annihilated a seriously evil guy who had murdered his friend and nearest connection to a deadbeat dad, and who gaslit him to the end into thinking there was some hope. But then, when cured by Killua's sister, he reverted back to his previous self, albeit a bit wiser, and was geninely sorry for how he had treated Killua in that moment and apologized to him. People act like he lost his soul. Get a grip.
If you look at the story as a whole, killua and Gon switch places. Killua is at his most broken in the beginning, while Gon is at his most innocent. Now towards the end, gon is utterly shattered while killua was a more innocent version of himself.
Also there was Hints that Gon was a bit "unhinged" in a way.
He never saw things as entirely Black or White, never had an issue with people been killed (i mean he barely has a reaction when Killua a 12yro boy like him, tore out the heart of someone, even Kurapika was somewhat surprised)
He din't like that things where done in a Dishonest way, so him being Honest and cheerfull with all his other qualities, gives off the vibe of him being very sweet and nice.
Not saying that he ain't.
But when his Confidence and world where shattered with Kite's death, he started slipping, his psyché slowly starting to descent into a darker place, while maintaining a brave and cheerfull front, like he has always done till now.
Till the point where His frustration became more and more apparent, and he even had a severe argument with his Best Bro, Killua wich dug a chasm between them for a while, untill the Breaking point, where he simply said Fuck it, imma make my Problem everyone's else problem and nearly nukes himself to oblivion.
Its very subtle, but its there.
While like you said, Killua as a reverse experience, where he started to opne up more to others, he befriended an Enemy, trusted others and became cool as a cucumber in the direst of situations, when before that he would have lost it and make a bloodbath (remember after netero's little tag game in the airships?, he was so frustrated that he killed (presumably) the 2 guys that crossed him in the corridor)
One of the best episodes ever made in tv history, not just anime.
Phinx mentioned it at the very end of YorkNew, that the whole reason they stopped chasing Kurapika was because Chrollo no longer had Nen and if they killed Kurapika his intense vengeful Nen would still go after/kill Chrollo, which Pitou attempted here.
You mean Gon's vengeful Nen? I assume you did, but I just wanted to be clear.
@@thatxavianxfeline723Pitou
@@piattos399 no pitou, cuz pitou was already dead yet her Nen used her/it as a corpse puppet
i'm pretty sure it was one of her skill@@c3p6
Gons transformation is easily the greatest transformation in anime history
Honestly I think you’re right because the emotion behind the scene and the music, and the buildup was perfect and it wasn’t an asspull power up like most Shonen MC’s either
Can't wait for all the comments saying Nick skipped right to EP 131 and didn't watch the rest of the episodes 😭😭😭

Idk. If you follow nic, you know that HxH is an exclusive reaction for patreon users.
Nobodys saying that lil bro
FINALLY! A reaction to one of the best episodes in Anime history!
not really the best
This was the first anime I have ever watched and still to this day my favorite anime. I absolutely loved it and I wish it would come back.
Chimera Ant Arc is Absolute Peak, they did strech it little bit but It'll always remain probably one of the Top 3 Best Arcs in all of Battle Shounen for me 🛐
Its the best, not just top 3, it's the GOAT
You're literally the only one I've seen who understood why Pitou felt relief when Gon was about to kill her.
I think people miss the fact that Gon was so angry, he was feeling pure hatred towards her that he was ready to sacrifice his own life just to avenge Kite ; and he did sacrifice his life to obtain such power. This much power to become as strong as Meruem ? Meaning he could have fought against him if he wanted and possibly win ? And all that only for this lowly subject of the Ant King ? Man I too would be proud to know that my enemy goes so all out just for me in exchange of possibly dying sooner than expected
I would be relieved to know he would use all that power to shatter me instead of going for the thing I love the most; that's what's going on in Pitou's mind before dying
Really? I looked a lot reactions to that ep and everybody understood why she was happy, I mean she literally explained it.
Most of the reactors understood this 😂😂
She literally explains it though, even if Nick didn't realize he would have known after she said it.
I've seen a lot of reactors watch this episode and understand what Pitou was feeling in that moment.
It’s perfection because it shows killua starting as a monster and learning humanity but gon has his humanity ripped away from him and becomes a monster
Without a doubt one of the best episodes of all time
Nick is making big strides in terms of completing long animes. Good stuff good stuff.
hes already watched the anime before btw

such a good episode, one of only like two or three i’ve ever cried to. beautifully done.
You finally reached this episode. Thanks for uploading the highlights for these two episodes!
This idiot watched it already, he fake reacting
I still remember when I cried my eyes out with HxH at the end of the Ant arc..
Factsss
I almost never cry while watching or reading media
Then why did I said "almost"
because the end of chimera arc made me cry
My first time watching this was definitely one of the hypest moments of my life.
One piece is my favorite anime...but HxH has my respect on a different scale. It has some of the most beautifully written characters ive ever seen in Anime and any show in general
Thanks for uploading all the episode reaction, I've been expecting this since you first started to watch hxh 🥺
When u realise gon a (human) who lost his humanity
And meruem A ( ant) who gained his humanity
Bro sometimes doesn't even try to hide that he has already seen this lol
My favourite episode of the show by far, Hunter x Hunter is such a great show. Also please put your reaction to episode to 135, that episode is also amazing
Episode was so good he had to upload it to youtube.
Awesome reaction man tbh your breakdowns have become a lot better over time don’t get me wrong your hilarious Asf but the fact you know how to balance the 2 is golden
You can never experience this epic episode at its full without watching each episodes
He has watched the previous episodes they are just on his patreon
yeah dumbass, you just come here to talk shit or you would actually know that.
He watched all bro
Let's take a moment to appreciate the anime staff for this episode. The bone-chilling OST and sound effects, the insanely impactful animation, the perfect voice-acting across the board, and the directing to bring it all together. You couldn't ask for a better adaptation, it's incredible.
That's the thing. I think Hisoka did see this. I mean he saw something like this coming, as far as Gon's potential. That's why he's so... Hisoka... about Gon. All, "not yet, I have to keep waiting."
No one would argue on your statement that this is better than some of the best anime scenes because this transformation went down in history as one of the best anime moments ever. It really did feel like another show and everyone was in shock.
This episode is literal GOOSEBUMPS 🔥
the absolute chills i got seeing Gon lose to his despair and the black aura that he summoned as if calling upon death itself to give him strength. My god i love everything about that scene, the power just knocking the doors open and blowing out the candles. I love it
There are so many small details hidden in this episode, I've seen it countless times and I'm still learning more about it. I love this show
You have one the best reactions in UA-cam so far, Nick🖤🥺
Nah he fakes his reaction
The greatest character development and power up in all of anime right here.
is in naruto, not in hxh
I had seen Gon's transformation by nature of being on the internet and the anime sphere for a long while before watching HxH (don't ask why I hadn't watched it sooner I had it on my list lol) but I only knew what he looked like not the reason behind it. A friend of mine was the one who got me to watch it and he told me I had to face cam share my reaction to it (he did it too despite having seen it already just to share in the moment with me). He hadn't said much of anything regarding what the episode would be like but I could tell by the way he was acting it was going to be raw, this whole episode made me so emotional I cried really hard seeing what pushed him to transform like this, it was heartbreaking and staggering. I think I lived up to my friends expectations that day when I reacted to that episode for him lol.
Also this was a fantastic reaction Nick I had no idea you were watching HxH lol.
This arc was amazing and the studio did an amazing work
i was doing my master degree in Brasil and someone enter to the department that I was sharing with my best friend and his wife, that was super scare, because our friends in the university said they usually came back to robber other departments, we couldnt sleep for a couple of days, we lost our pc with our tesis, tv and alL the important stuff in the department, the only electronic they left was a book size laptop that was where the book are (always hid your important stuff in thwe books thiefs dont read) and this episode came and we pass to be scare and depress to super pump and full of life, just to watch this master piece, this episode change our state of mind of the moment, and said to ourselfs F4CK IT WE WILL OVERCOME THIS SHIT AND WE WOULD FINISH OUR MASTER DEGREE NO MATTER WHAT and we did it, my friend continue his carrer in brasil and he just finish his doctor degree and im working in a transnational company, so thank you HUNTER X HUNTER EPISODE 131
The emotions converted through this scene are amazing. I’m looking forward to your reaction to a certain scene that’s upcoming in JJK that I feel as about the same vibe(tho not as intense) as this scene
I completely agree i have never seen an anime episode so good lmao. Best rage moment oat.
Peak storytelling! 👏💯
You got one of the best reactions to when Gon says he doesn't care if this is the end. Words hit hard
man I'm so glad I rewatched It this year, I loved It when I first watched It about 4-5 years ago and ever since I rewatched It over and over again
The most powerful thing I found was the dichotomy of Gon's transformation from love to anger, and Meruem from anger to love. Togashi even draw them sit in the same way, Gon was waiting to fight, Meruem was waiting not to fight. Incredible.
Finally Nick you experience the shonen convert into seinen imo. This scene is for the prosperity
SOOOOOOO Glad u posted this reaction. Pls upload 135 as well ❤❤❤
134 too..
u know when an anime makes u hyped just from talking its a good writing anime, the king getting his memories back was peak
My all time favorite anime. To me nothing compares to the lore and story development. It's incredible.
Still on of my Favorite episodes of all Time!
Even after 4 hxh rewatches and 100+ just this episode, always goosbumps all over my body
Gon went like : "If I lose it all slip and fall, I'll never Look awaaaay"
I waited 2 years 3 months and 17 day’s for blind waves reaction to this episode, such an amazing moment with so many emotions
Wing: “Listen, Gon. I can’t explain to you precisely why…but don’t ever do what Kurapika did.”
just watched the Ichigo Bankai reaction, and now this. my goosebumps are permanent now.
The build up to this episode is just crazy. Fire reaction
It's not the same as Bisqy. The reason being she transforms to hide her physical form, but the aura is the same. What happened here was Gon physically grew up. Gon did was give up his future potenial. The Gon you see is adult Gon. This is what Gon would be years in the future after rigorous training. As we can see future gone would be on Meruem's level. So he sacrificed that potential. What does that mean for him? You'll see
A world without hunter x hunter is just a word❤🎉😊
Nah, it would be orld.
skull
A perfect masterpiece
Been waitin for this day
My favorite power-up of all time the music, the sounds tech, the dialog, the animation,. the story, the emotion, it's so f-ing great. The most special thing is that the black-and-white is a nod to the way this scene drawn in the manga. It's frame-by-frame the same an the manga including the eyes. Make me emotional everytime I watch....
This episode was so good it showed Gon a person who was so positive and happy going has so much darkness buried deep inside his hearts . It's like the brightest of things can turn to the darkest if pushed to the limits
Was waiting for this
This cene is so amazing. Principally for the story that was developed. I wanna see so much the fight between the king and netero
fun fact : this is the only episode you can hear killua foot step
You just earned a sub for bowing to the great masterpiece of modern tv history.
We all remember where we were when this episode happened, this was a global event
watching it now still gives me the goosies
Imagine reacting to this weekly it was even more greatness when we have reach this moment
Oh man, that arc.
Yeah, that was awesome.
I remembered FMA when i watched it, it's that good.
FUN FACT: The creators of Naruto, One Piece, AOT, Bleach, Demon Slayer, and Jujutsu Kaisen have all admittedly drew inspirations from Togashi's works (Yu Yu Hakusho and HxH) so it's safe to assume Togashi is the GOAT
HxH is one of my only 10/10s ever its too damn good also after another year long hiatus Togashi just teased more chapters on twitter we are up bro
The quimera arc was Simply beautiful
You see the king of Monsters gaining humanity as gon loses his and becomes more like a Monsters the twist Is absolutely amazing
A legendary episode for a legendary Arc. And there's another one ahead.
I love how in this channel i can see how it did go from a rapper normie to a absolute weeb, its like watching ma own journey to anime from long ago.
I just watched this on patreon and HELL ima watch it on youtube again
the only mistake i can think of in 2011 hxh is that they didnt show kite in the first episode like in the manga and 99 version
BIG W FOR YOU MY FRIEND
This episode still gives me chills
my man went from episode 1 to this in a month.
This entire arc is god tier peak!
One of the best transformations in all of anime and my 2nd favorite moment in all of hxh
Still get goosebumps whenever I see that ending when Gon looks at Killua...
This episode definitely deserves the recognition 👌🏽🔥
IDK it's just an absurd power up coming from nothing, violating any rules. I know the next saga reveal its a life time exchange, but (spoiler) even that has not consequences... am not a hater, I love HxH but this scene is just a meme, there is a lot of another epic moment in this series.
@@indominus_nerdlmal this is not absurd power up
every power in the show comes with multiple restrictions and conditions
which exactly makes nen the best power system in anime, balanced as well
There is nothing like random or bs power up in hxh because with the conditions and usage of nen, everything will make sense
the moment when Gon was talking with killua after pitou took he's arm. was the best scene I have ever seen in anime. to this day I still cry watching it.
gon was so strong because he was willingly to bet his life on the line and made a condition with his nen just like kurapika
This is HxH, this is how Togashi do things, you want a power up that is OP? well you have a price to pay, the bigger the power up, the bigger the price.
I've said it many times before.
This was not the transformation of a hero.
THE greatest rage scene of all time bar none and its not even close
0:12 i've got that same gon figure. Picked it up on a trip to japan a few years ago. Also HXH is peak shounen
BEFORE EVERY THING BRO WHAT A COOL SHIRT YOU DRESS
There are no words to describe how epic this scene was.
This episode bkew me away last year, it seemed like everyone wanted to watch hxh last year along with me haha
Bro, I'm crying 😭
This episode is peak.. but nothing made me cry like episode 135.
one of the most iconic anime episode of all time
