I loved this challenge and hope there will be more. The only real downside is that I think levels are getting unfairly judged if they go over 6 minutes. Normally, we love more level in a romhack.

I think the level lengths are fine in this hack, but Poo proabably just wished they were shorter because he was still under the pressure of completing the challenge.
Gambol and Gambol II are both sick hacks on the friendlier side of Intermediate difficulty, albeit 2 is harder and has more chocolate.

The Gambol series might be a net negative in time, but they're definitely a net positive in the amount of fun you can get out of them
That port of Skye’s Toccata during the castle chase sequence was dope.
it may not seem like it because of the concrete but that's what makes skateboarding so much more forgiving than snowboarding or surfing. the ability to bail so much easier or just recover into a roll/slide when you slam has literally saved my life. concrete bounces you. snow and water _pound_ you with a swell especially all too happy to chew you up and spit you out like you're a bad midnight snack

@@WowOafus they should replace airbags with water cannons because water is softer than concrete
@@eggsboxwell, they do use water cannons to disperse crowds. We really should be using cannons of bricks. Wouldn’t harm the crowd as much.
Love the SNES Aladdin music in the thwomp boss level. Played that game so many times

The art is good, but I have yet to see any hack do more with SNES graphics than A Plumber For All Seasons. That is a gorgeous SMW hack

Maybe it was stuck LFG in Sol B? So judgmental...
With regards to level length, I feel like as a general rule if a single exit takes more than say, two minutes from start to finish on the intended route with no mistakes; your level is just flat out too damn long for Kaizo and should be split into at least two separate exits.
Some exceptions apply for certain kinds of puzzle or challenge stages, and optional "hard mode" stuff, but I feel like that's a good guideline for levels in general. A lot of levels seem to just run on too long.
