Thanks so much for your honest review. £100 is almost 200 Australian dollars so 400 for two people with only a few rooms is definitely too much for me so you have saved me so much time and money. Love you guys. THANK YOU!!!!
Beautiful Scottish countryside. Expensive tour of 5 rooms and uggh about the poor stags ❤The architecture is nice - reminds me a little of Poland - my background. Thank you Claire and Gary 🥰💕xx
Thank you for sharing ❤️ I’m a born and bred Alabama girl with Scottish, English, Irish and German heritage and I absolutely love videos like this bc it’s like I get to see a part of my family history that otherwise I may never get to. I’m a country girl and the grounds were absolutely beautiful and the views!! I can see why Balmoral meant so much to Queen Elizabeth. I would never leave
Thank you Claire & Gary for sharing this trip to Balmoral. Loved your pic duplicating the one where Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip stood! The gardens were beautiful and yea I agree with you it’s a beautiful Castle. I do enjoy your travel vlog, it helps me to make a must see list. Enjoy your natter too. I could understand your point on the hanging of the kills, not a fan of looking at stag heads. I like hearing your points of views and pointers. I think you guys should have a Thackeray travel book ! I hope you publish all your travels with your beautiful pics one day. Cheers guys❤🦌
Thanks Claire and Gary. Balmoral looks lovely the gardens and castle and beautiful river Dee .. The gift shop was a treat and Absolutely loved the royal family photos of the Queen and King and family. 🫅👑👸. Loved the music accompanying this too.
WOW it’s stunning . No wonder the queen loved it . Scotland is so beautiful. One place iv never been to Scotland. I would love to go . Thank you Claire and Gary xx
OUTSTANDING! Thank You once again for taking the world with you on your next holiday adventure. I wasn't disappointed with your film because this is as close as anyone outside the family can get -- other than the folks who work there. I must say the steadiness of the video cam was exceptional, Gary! The place is beyond awesome, I loved the gardens, the river dee, the pine trees everywhere and the castle itself. Wonder if your former queen would be turning in her grave knowing her former home is open to the public. And imagine this... her being on the other side looking back at all the castles she owned and lived and had access to. All that is gone now for her. All in All she carried her duty as Queen and Defender of your Faith with such dignity, pride with exceptional composure. I could not help but think of her throughout your video. I hope to make it to England and Scotland one day... Thank You Claire and Gary!
My goodness, the royals always have built beautiful as well as large. The 'playhouse cottage' built for Queen Victoria's children is an enormous mansion. I really enjoyed this. Thank you.
❤🦌❤ Thanks to you both for this. Well done, Gary, the whole production is far more slick and the filming smoother - I unfortunately couldn’t watch all your vlogs in the past because of the camera movement so I am looking forward to your future vlogs now. Thanks both of you, as ever, for your transparency and honesty - very refreshing! And Claire, thank you for your complete understanding for those of us with “invisible disabilities” who could never visit Balmoral ourselves 😘
Claire and Gary, I love the tour of Balmoral Castle I enjoy the sightseeing of the gardens outside the castle but it's sad to say that $150 US DOLLARS to go inside and see what you guys saw with no camera or videos come on King Charles how many rooms and areas can you open for the public I'm pretty sure he doesn't use all of it block the private ones and let people see the other side so I don't think I would go and pay that much money well thank you for your video I enjoyed it and you guys save me a lot of money well keep the videos coming cuz I like to see all the castles in in England and all over God blessed you all you guys did a fantastic job from across the pond
Thank you so very much for the lovely tour. If the money was funding a reputable charity, I would say, “ I understand the fee” …but only 7 rooms? And, if it’s not benefiting the people of Scotland….it’s certainly not worth that amount of money. You would think any repairs and or additional projects should be financed by the monarchy. It’s hard times for the majority of us. In my humble opinion. Thanks again! 🤗💕
Love, affection, sincerity, and sweetness are all worth it. Love does not change. Love is in the soul, in the spirit, in the heart, in the brain. No one changes what God loved.
Love the gift shop.Thank you Claire& Gary. Beautiful gardens, scenery, understand why Queen Elizabeth & King Charles love Balmoral. Also seen stags in a few homes of that Ara. It must have been quite a thing of the past.
I love that you got a physical ticket, when too much (in my opinion) is only online these days. 💜Also, just saw Roya Nicah, RF reporter say that seven rooms are open to view, inc. the drawing room. 💙
Thank you both, so well filmed, I felt as if I was there. Glad you got it dry. It was really good to see the river, with all the boulders and pebbles. (I did imagine Charles and Di., and then later, the boys).Well done on taking your photos. The gardens and scenery are really beautiful. You can see the King's work. It really reminds me of what he has done at Dumfries House, Ayrshire, though Balmoral was grander. When you were chatting outside, you could really see the "old house" that they "added onto" with the fancy towers... Shame the inside wasn't quite worth the large fee. I wonder if you saw the room where the late Queen met with Liz Truss. I'm totally with you on the stags heads. It must be like a taxidermist's. I wonder what you got in the giftshop... Thanks for sharing, and for all your hard work. Much appreciated. Love to the stags and nature. 💜💟🦌🦌🦌🐿🐿🐿🦋🦋🦋🌳🌲🌱🌱🌱🌿🌿🌿🌸🌸🌸👑
Hi guy's, Disappointing we couldn't get to see inside and maybe it's the Scottish blood in me but £100 seems awfully steep . Still as you said Claire it's ticked another box . Thanks for taking us along with you . The grounds and gardens looked wonderful but not sure I could deal with the stags head's lol . Carrot cake sounded lovely but no venison pie ???? 😂😂 ❤ thanks guy's xx
We we there a year ago, but only got as far as the gates. The King was in residence and it was not open. We did spend some time chatting the London police guarding the gates.
Beautiful footage! I would have preferred psithurism and the sound of gravel in the gardens and the forest. Thank you so much for sharing your visit.🏰🌲
If you are ever on this side of the pond, please visit the BILTMORE ESTATE in Ashville, NC. You will not be disappointed, guarantee it. The entrance fee will not cost much more than this castle although it does require a plane fare to the US.
Great video ❤ you have just helped me make my mind up I won't be paying 100.00 to go inside. Its way to much to look at the overly privileged dining room. Beautiful place and I have to ask myself is it to much for one family. Hhhmmn probably but that's just my opinion. Thanks guys I love the new beginning of the vlog to 👍 xxxx
Thank you for showing us round the outside and thhe grounds . i am disappointed disappoinnted that we did not get to see the inside, except for a gift sop and photos on a wall. The cake looked delicious. The movie mrs rown showed a lot of the interior of the Castle in Victoria’s time. And of course episodes of The Crown included events @ Balmoral Castle..i can understand the need for secuity in these violent times. No cameras or phones allowed.
I love Scotland and the scenery everywhere is second to none, but i would not be happy seeing dead animal heads, poor things used as a trophy, thank you both for video, love everything you both do and im an avid fan of your videos Claire, best wishes from Tipperary Ireland
I wanted to see the interior but by not letting video it’s disappointing but the grounds are beautiful. The outside of the castle is gorgeous, with fairy tales of dreamed of.
King Charles what were you thinking? No Victoria room? No QE2 room? You should have got some memorabilia from both women and made a room for each since they both spent over 50+ yrs there. A King Edward VII room or at least a George VI and Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon room. Come on Charles give people what they want. Maybe add a small food place that serves whatever the monarchs favorite food was through the years. VICTORIA'S CURRY, EDWARD VII Mince pie, George V apple dumplings, George VI hot dogs yep he loved hot dogs , Elizabeth 2 scrambled eggs with smoked salmon.... all the favorites of the kings and queens who have lived there it would be interesting could even do their spouses if you wanted to
As per your header, I thought we were going inside the castle. I guess you can't film inside the building? The gardens were lovely and it would have been fun to see more of the sunken part of the partierre.
The prices are insane (i.e. simple water for 1,50 pounds, a coffee nearly 4 pounds ...), given that I - like all british citizens - pay taxes for the maintien of that real estate. Definitely not worth to visit: long travel to get there, historically not interesting, gardens nice, but nothing exceptional, over-priced and generally bad weather, even in summer.
I have never liked Balmoral, it has no charm, no uniqueness and no positive energy. There are countless castles and mansions in Europe that are many times more beautiful, amazing and downright magical.

To know that you’re walking where Diana stayed is so crazy. ❤
I was so excited to have an inside view of the Queen's favorite castle never mind. Loved the tour of the estate.Thank you both.
You can’t film inside the castle. X

Yes, the setting is stunning.
Thanks chair and Gary had a really nice time. Let s do it again soon ❤️🇺🇸🐞
Beautiful, the upkeep must be very high. Opening to the public will help with the cost.

Thank you, Claire and Gary, for your tour of the royal grounds and gardens at Balmoral. ❤🫎

Goodness Me! It's amazing. I always thought of the castle being grey in colour and a grey sky. Does the sun ever shine there? Thanks for sharing.
Sounds like a fancy hunting lodge 😂
Great video ❤ you have just helped me make my mind up I won't be paying 100.00 to go inside. Its way to much to look at the overly privileged dining room. do they sell pictures of the inside of Balmoral Castle ?
She is beautiful
🏴❤️🫎🫎🫎
Great video, thanks to you both. £100 for 7 rooms sounds like a right royal rip-off!
£100 per person lol ker ching lol 😂 xxx

That's a lot of money for that tour, I would also be disappointed.
So expensive for that little bit. Didn’t even see anything upstairs? What a let down
It's been open for years but more extensive now. I can't remember how much i paid years ago.
🦌🦌
Thank you Claire and Gary 🤍🏴🤍

What a ridiculous price. Can't see many Scots paying that.

Add on comment love to the stags I hate blood sports any kind of animal abuse is not acceptable to me 😊
Maybe some of the stags died of old age Claire.
No they didn’t. Each stag had date of kill on and the name of the royal that did it 👍
🦌
Is that £150 each?
Yes 👍
I have never liked Balmoral, it has no charm, no uniqueness and no positive energy. There are countless castles and mansions in Europe that are many times more beautiful, amazing and downright magical.

2:17 man what a small bridge. That poor old lady on the right looks like she is walking a tight rope.
