CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Gary Figgis (Ray Liotta) overreacts when he hears that he's being shut out from the gang.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The second film from writer/director James Mangold, the corruption drama Cop Land stars Sylvester Stallone as Freddy Heflin, the much-denigrated sheriff of tiny Garrison, NJ, a community which -- thanks to a technicality -- is populated almost entirely by members of the New York City Police Department. When young cop Murray "Superboy" Babitch (Michael Rapaport) becomes embroiled in a controversial shoot-out which leaves two black youths dead, he apparently commits suicide rather than face the wrath of an official investigation. In reality, however, he flees to safety back home in Garrison. In the wake of the controversial events, NYPD Internal Affairs lieutenant Moe Tilden (Robert De Niro) arrives in Garrison to uncover the truth, attempting to enlist Freddy to help watch the watchmen, including Superboy's uncle, veteran cop Ray Donlan (Harvey Keitel); coked-out Gary Figgis (Ray Liotta); and Joey Randone (Peter Berg), the husband of the woman (Annabella Sciorra) Freddy loved and lost. A rich, complex film about redemption, Cop Land's portrayal of Freddy's struggles to prove his worth mirrors Stallone's own return to thoughtful, character-driven drama after years of vacuous action roles. Like Freddy, he faces an uphill battle, fighting for respectability in the face of a superb cast including Janeane Garofalo, Cathy Moriarty, and Paul Calderon.

Rip Ray Liotta. In a movie with such starpower as this, he still steals the show
He stole every scene he was in. The emotion and passion was incredible.
You said it.
What a scene.
True but who can say that Stallone's playing the character of Freddie, so humble and gentle isn't just as brilliant for being so low-key and almost nuanced ?
David Bowie and Ray Riotta were two people that i idolized growing up
One was a amazing actor and the other a amazing musician. As they say legends never really die, they just go to the great heaven in the sky
He did, he did!
Just here paying my respects. R.I.P. Mr. Liotta. The consummate actor.
Every actor in this film went above and beyond. Every character is so believable. This movie deserves more attention at the awards.
I think the same thing, When it came out it didn't do that well and I couldn't figure out why? Might have been the timing.
The movie has a solid cast
The cast was better than the script lol
Robert Patrick was great as Jackie
Arthur Nascarella (white sauce violation) absolutely held his own amongst industry heavyweights in every scene he was in. This movie oozed talent.
Ray Liotta really showed in this movie how underrated he really is. An all-star acting cast like that and he showed them all up.
dude what? ray has always been an awesome actor!!
And he finally can be seen in a great movie again.
For real they give great performances too and he still acts circles around them
Yeah loved him too in Unlawful Entry.
Ray liotta is literally great in everything. One of the best supporting actors ever.
Ray was definitely a standout in this film, one of his more underrated roles. RIP Ray Liotta
Ray was underrated his whole career. He never got the recognition he deserved
Wait what!!!! Ray Liotta is dead???
Yeah he was great in this
Good Fellas was inside of Ray
so many legends in just one scene.
Henry Hill, Rambo, T1000 and Mr Wolf!!!!
Also Carlo from The Sopranos and Captain Tucker from LO: SVU😆😆😆😆
GreatfuhhggincommentSir
And also young Don Vito Corleone,
T1000 🤣
They all appeared in Sopranos
Cop Land has so much depth, and is so insanely dense in it's details, and characterizations that it's almost like watching the third part of a trilogy. Plus the acting is out of this world. Ridiculously underrated film.
When you have the cast this film does, it's hard to go wrong. A film directors dream team!
agreed.
Cop Land was actually the name of a mission in Vice City and seeing and hearing Ray Liotta it's like living the old days.
This was his all time best scene in my opinion.
Rest easy, Ray
This movie is criminally underrated. NO PUN INTENDED
Such an underrated movie.
Vinny Haddad How can it be underrated when its got all of the all time greats in it?. Its great.
Extremely.
Ray liotta is amazing 😉 he’s very underrated
Never seen it
Needs an extended cut.
Copland is the most underrated film in history in my opinion. Stallone deserved an Oscar for his performance in this as well as Ray Liotta for best supporting actor. If this movie was directed by Scorsese I guarantee you it wouldn’t be as underrated as it is.
I'm sorry to tell you that Ray just died at 67
if scorsese had directed it he would have made it better.
@@CrossOfBayonne If I’m not mistaken he died in his sleep ?
I agree
I don't think James Mangold was familiar at the time. I believe this was his second movie he directed. Very underrated feature, in fact Donnie Brasco and Heat are movies that comes to mind when not being recognized by the Academy Awards.
Cop Land is like the Serpico of the 90's...
+Rampage Clover Check out Sidney Lumet's 'Prince of the City'. It's kinda like the Serpico of the 80s's.
+ChillyCheezItz Thank you, I will
@@Stellamaeby Two great films. Prince Of The City picks up where Frank Serpico left off; it's now Robert Leuci who's fighting cops on the take, albeit reluctantly.
That was the realist looking Punch I’ve ever seen in a movie
Ray Liotta steals every scene he's in...
He's quite charismatic
We won't see that anymore. RIP Mr. Liotta.
SiggySnaatchin’em UP. ;)
Ray Liotta is such a beast of an actor! Such an amazing cast and he outshines all of them.
I couldn't have put it better👍
He had the best lines...not the white ones his actual dialogue.
As always
@@Rob-sk1im o m goudnessesss’s lol
No yoke!
In a good movie Ray outshines ALL the big hitters in the cast. No one was on his level on this shoot. RIP Ray.
Boom! 💥
The casting of this movie is absolutely incredible : Robert DeNiro, Ray Liotta, Harvey Keitel, Robert Patrick, Sylvester Stallone, Frank Vincent… 🥲
Method Man, Michael Rappaport, Peter Berg, Malik Yoba, Tony Sirico
@@davidleonard7439Also Cathy Moriarty.
John Spencer,Arthur Nascarella, Paul Calderon,Janeane Garafalo.
RIP to a legend! Underrated movie and scene.
Henry Hill having his way with the T1000 while Rambo and Mr White Watch.....God I love this film! ;) Oh and Leo is taking an extended leave from the Bartlett Administration ;)
While Rocky and Mr White watch...also Carmela Soprano was in earlier chatting to Henry about finding a tongue in a bag!
+BSGT2TREKFAN88 Lead singer of Blondie behind the bar too.
that was funny lol almost sounds like part of a joke there lol
Tommy Vercetti fights T-1000 while Judge Dredd and Mr. White break it up.
+D Luyo Debbie Harry plays Delores the bartender.
RIP, Ray. Underrated great performance in this.
Rest in peace Ray Liotta.
He was always one of the best and most charismatic actors in Hollywood. In Copland he really showed what a talent he has. Hollywood has lost a great actor with him.
'Ol Henry Hill havin' his way with the T1000..
Ray Liotta was just so good in this film. Even next to Deniro and Keitel who are cinema Gods.
No lie, i've re-watched this movie like 20x......so good!
I forgot how good Ray Liotta was in this movie, he probably had the best performance out of everyone. DeNiro was good too, but Ray was really really good.
Love Ray Liotta in this movie and the dart is just INSANE!!
The ole DART up the nose trick eh!! gets 'IM everytime ! one underatted thriller! enjoy!
NARC is his best performance. Better than this and Goodfellas.
@Maniac 5000 Phoenix is AMAZING. And a movie most people havent seen. Damn shame,he is perfect in it and that cast; Anthony Lapaglia, Giovanni Ribisi,Jeremy Piven,Giancarlo Esposito,Angelica Houston,Brittany Murphy...The movie is sadly so slept on,even his passing didnt give it close to a second life.
All great actors, but Liotta was outstanding here.
The news of Ray Liotta's passing brought me here. May he Rest In Peace 🙏🙏
In for a penny, in a for pound, don't shut me out Ray"
RIP Ray Liotta, 1954-2022.
In for a pal, not pound
All actors in Copland were brilliant - but Liotta acted them all under the table. Such an amazing actor.
Rest In Peace Ray Liotta 💔
Social club? He's gotta GOOOOO...
+sidefx996 Social club, my ass. Carlo was a RAT!
HA! How about Carlo's mom jeans!
I don't know I wanna think about it
Will you take it easy over there judge Roy Bean
Ray liotta mannnn this just hit me hard Rest In Peace
Never understood why Ray Liotta did not get at least nominated for an academy award for this role.
Stiff competitions
Rest In Peace Ray, you were phenomenal ✌️
0:41 the look on Ray’s face and you just know he’s about to wreck the T-1000 😂
Movies like this, with complex, conflicted characters, and a riveting story, oh how I miss them.
R.I.P. Ray Liotta 1954-2022 Best Italian actor. 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🙏🕯
Ray Liotta you'll be missed. Rest in peace.
Great showing by Ray. RIP to a legend.
Ray Liotta DOMINATED every scene he was in. He devoured every scene for breakfast with a side of boss-sauce
So sad to hear the news, and really breaks my heart. R.I.P. Ray. You were one of the best underrated actors.
Only two things good or bad actor. He's very good
"In for a penny in for a pound". Great line!
It's an old saying. Means if you're in just a little, you're in all the way and no way out.
" You got a problem with me helping a girl in trouble?? You got a problem with that?? "
I think it's a shame that Ray was underrated his whole career. He was such a great actor...and now it's all over. R.I.P Ray
Davey Scatino, Carlo, Henry Hill, The Wolf and Rambo all in one scene!!!!!!!! WOW.
@ T-100 & Scatino are played by the same guy. Robert Patrick was in The Sopranos with Arthur J. Nascarella, who was a longtime cop in real life.
Davey scatino should've gotten tf back in his hole
Artie Bucco in the background
What a great cast. Everyone in this movie gave awesome underrated performances like Robert De Niro, Harvey Keitel, Robert Patrick & obviously ray liotta & Stallone. Underrated movie and underrated performances
"The fuck's up your ass?" This is the best scene in the film IMO. Great and very underrated 90s movie.
We all found out that Jack was just a bully with a gun. xD
This scene will be burned into my memory as long as I live. His acting was the truth.
⚡️🤍
RIP Ray. Thanks for everything.
The specific "Don't Shut Me Out" part of this clip would've been a perfect Oscar clip if Ray Liotta would (AND SHOULD) have been nominated for an Academy Award...
A lot of nose injuries in this film.
This is my absolute favorite scene in this classic film! I love Sylvester Stallone but Ray Liotta owns this movie just with this scene. Watching it makes me want to be an actor just to deliver lines like this on film.
RIP Mr Liotta
Ray Liotta, Harvey Keitel, Robert Patrick, and Sylvester Stallone in the same scene??? That’s a crazy pair to see on screen together.
This was a powerhouse of a cast, with an excellent script. Should definitely be revisited.
I get goosepimps whenever I done watch this severe scene. Now that's the epitome of a true day-in, days-out Hitter. Ray Liotta done slayed that scene. Nobody coulda scored it heavier and more intense, Not a one!!!
We miss you already Ray Liotta. RIP good sire.
This movie was so underrated-The Talent all in one move Sly Stallone, Robert De Niro, Ray Liotta, Harvey Keitel, Robert Patrick, Peter Berg and hell Michael Rappaport. Great flick
Ray Liotta was so good in this. Slowly getting a conscience
R.I.P. Ray Liotta
R.I.P..what a great actor
RIP Ray Liotta
Good night, Figgsy
😥
Tommy Vercetti, Mr. Wolf, T-1000, and Rambo walk into a bar
And Carlo Gervasi.
Rest in peace, Ray Liotta.
RIP Ray liotta ...will be missed.
Great actor.
a classic. liotta is always intense. he looks fierce in this movie
Have you ever seen Narc ? With Ray Liotta and Jason Patric..its awesome. Liotta is a badass in that too as a take no prisoners detective named Henry Oak. Check it out if you haven't seen it.
Ray liotta such amazing actor so underrated!
RIP Ray Liotta and John Spencer
This is a Superbly crafted scene. Excellent mood, dialogue actors. The intensity is palpable through the silence.....
Rest In Peace Ray Liotta
Rest in Peace legend!
Great acting, Mr.Ray Liotta, Bravo!
Rest in peace Ray Liotta ❤️ i'll be missing you..
R.I.P RAY LIOTTA
Very underrated film.
RIP Ray from a Jersey boy
This scene gives me goosebumps. One of my favorite scenes in any movie.
Underrated movie.
Rest In Peace-Power To The Great Ray Liotta 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
RIP to a Legend…….
Ray Liotta made the movie Great Actor R.I. P.
The name of the Copland mission in Vice City is a reference to this
So underrated! I’d put this up there with goodfella’s, True Romance, Bronx tail, American history X etc as one of the best movies in the 90’s, I don’t know why it never got the recognition like the others.
RIP A true legend Ray Liotta!
Cool reference used for GTA VC. Putting a Cherry on top where Ray Liotta as Vercetti is so good.
Never realised Debbie Harry from Blondie was in this film! She also voiced a character in GTA: VC
This movie is so underrated.
Robert Patrick is great in this film. Also, surprised that Ray didn't have Figgsy whacked.
Not with all those witnesses and IA already on ray’s back.
Rest in peace, Ray.
Rip Ray Liotta 😞
ray liottas trash talk is one of the most pleasing things
Forgot how great this movie is. Got to grab a copy on Bluray.
Ray Liotta owned this movie. Amazing, incredible performance--absolutely riveting.
Ray was one of the great ones. RIP brother.
RIP Ray. What a legend.
One of Stallone's best and underrated movies. Hard to believe that the guy with the mustache is Robert Patrick, now on Scorpion, he's aged a lot, you can barely recognize him.
And one of Liotta's best too.
That whole movie belongs to Ray Liotta. Thank you for your great performances and may you RIP.
This was my favorite liota movie
Mine too going to watch it again soon
He was awesome! RIP Ray.
Ray absolutely killed it in this scene. Out of a cast of a who’s who he stole the show. Bravo Ray. Bravo.
