When acquiring core, it is vital first to consider the main objectives of the core, i.e. the information required from it.
Core analysis doesn’t start in the lab. It starts during coring. Inappropriate coring plans could be throwing away millions, could produce wrong data and lead to wrong decision-making.
This session discusses the impact of coring, core retrieval and wellsite handling on core analysis data, and provides suggested mitigation approaches to reduce detrimental artefacts.
