Joe Maross (Fred) was in just about every television program in the 1960s especially. He started appearing in television in the early fifties, and he continued until well into the 1980s. He died at 86 in 2009.
I watched this entire series up until the last dozen episodes or so. DID not care for the new characters introduced in the last few dozen episodes. DID enjoy the first 450 episodes or so though. Enjoyed ALL the early characters very much EXCEPT Allison who had a dull, deadpan expression and spoke barely above a whisper. Guess Sinatra saw something that I could not see. Loved old Martin Peyton and his schemes.
It’s a shame he didn’t sew his wild oats before he got married, if that’s what he wanted to do. And immature that he didn’t do that soul searching earlier.
Rod, with the painting of Betty staring down at him, needs to get moving because Betty can now, (or, apparently, can) have anything or anyone she wants. Money changes everything. The Winter feline is adding fuel to the fire. Things are heating up.
Marsha don't go back to your ex husband. If you do you'll get more of the same, the seady lothario that he is. Choose the warm, handsome, playful Rossi.
Fred reminds me of a frog. Had actress Bush dyed her hair black or brunette, got rid of that old lady wig style and let it grow out like Betty's, she would and could pass for a 20 yr old; her skin is flawless. Those 2 bore me...toss in their cantankerous daughter and you have a poison cocktail. Does anyone miss hearing " Hun Nah" I miss that old man!
I'm not so sure about Stephen's assertion that Rod is a Dumbo when it comes to business. After all, wasn't Rod running the repairshop/gas station just fine?
Not a big deal to run a 1 car repair shop. Barely any over head or payroll. He is making ends meet, not raking in a big profit. Now he's selling motorcycles. How many a week? It's not a real big dealership. He's is trying, but it is really small potatoes compared to Peyton money. Could Betty live on that? No!!!!!!!!!!!
Great scene between Fred & Marsha, perhaps the most realistic one of the entire series. Bravura performance from Maross as Fred.
Mr Russell must’ve been a ventriloquist, he barely moves his lips
Fred says of himself: "Aging Lothario, homebreaker, fool"

I had just seen Joe Maroos and Percy Rodrigues (Dr. Miles) in a 1967 episode of Mannix, which ME-TV aired just recently.

Fred seems depressed.
Fred is another George Anderson. This type of behavior is showing through. The writers should have come up with some other persona.
I liked ole Georgie Boy!

Hope she falls on her face! She is trying to buy the Peyton mansion behind Rod's back! Whoa! What a snake she is!

Not much of a comparison, Stephen is masterful regarding business. Rodney does okay, but knows nothing about stocks, bonds, or corporations
@@denisewells4161 The rate she's going she can wipe out the inheritance in a week. Lol
