The decision should not be based on the "current market" as market trends will keep changing. Wrt your question about business analyst vs product manager, I think product manager is better because most organisations (at least in India) don't have a very well defined analytics org and thus I think the growth trajectory is limited there. Product management, on the other hand, has great growth potential. And even on the compensation front as well, PM roles are preferred.
