I found a 1945 penny, like the one you showed. I contacted Heritage Auctions and they told me it is only worth 5 cents. They told me to look for the 1909 S and P minted pennies.

they will all tell you the same thing bud do your own research, put it up for sale and wait a collector will come along and pay handsomly. some guy on the phone cant see what you have nor does he want or have a penny collection.
I found a 1908 once
Got a 1907 for change the gal working thought she was getting rid of some foreign coin probably worth a quarter but cool Indian head for change.
Small question, I found a 1983 penny, the mint mark is gone there's a hole down to the zinc, it looks like maybe rpmm and it fell off. Any input would be appreciated, thanks
The Lincoln/Netherlands over strike coin has to be my favorite out of all of these mint errors.

I just found this penny. It looked weird and I figured I would look it up. It’s in perfect conditions.
I just found 5. One of them is oxidized a bit, but everyone just walked past them. I'm so glad I picked them up!

I found in my moms coin pouch of old cool coins a1945 penny that is silver/steel color everwhere but the rim/edge but everywhere says it shouldn't exist. I think the Lincoln side is just off set to the left too. Is this a fake or something I should have looked at?

My 1945 wheat penny doesn't have the mint mark but it's odd because it looks like a typical Lincoln wheat penny but if you turn it over it's upside down. Is it worth anything?

Could someone help me out please. I am not a coin collector first off but I came looking for info on a coin that I had found in my change jar. It is a 1945 Lincoln wheat penny, no stamp. The unique thing about this penny is that first off where it says PLURIBUS. The B is actually an S and when you flip the coin over it is upside down. Lincoln's head is at the bottom of the coin if you know what I mean. Does anybody know if this would be worth something?
All US coins are minted so when they're flipped the other side is upside down
I have 6 45 that are in better shape than any I've seen there... Crazy. Need to find out how to get them graded
Bro I've got a 1989 Lincoln that was struck on a dime planched head of the dime appears on the tales side of the penny and vice versa and the lettering is cut short of course because the size of the dime do you think this is a find

So I weighed my 1945 no mint mark pennies. They were all 3.11ish grams, except 1, it was 2.70 grams. Is this a valuable error? Thanks.

I also have a 1945 wheat penny with no mint mark. I contacted Heritage Auctions. They told me it is only worth 5 cents. The Heritage Auctions site was not interested in my 1945 penny. They told me to look for 1909 S and P minted pennies. They sell for a good amount of money. Look at eBay. There are many bids for those pennies.

You can try selling it at your local coin shop. If you don't have one, you can try selling it on ebay. But please know that unless it's in brilliant uncirculated condition, it's not going to fetch you more than 10 cents or so.

Hey couch... I have a 1945 s that weighs 3.2 and very faint on the front and strong on the reverse. Plus the mint mark there looks to be a faint D next to the S . should I send you the pictures?
You should send him a picture. Then he could have an idea if it is worth grading or just selling it on ebay.

Hey I have a penny with Lincoln memorial back. On from the date says 1934.Any ideas on this?
My first thought is that it's actually a 1984 with the "8" being damaged to the point that it looks like a "3." Lincoln memorial reverses were first minted in 1959, so it would be impossible for a 1934 penny to have a memorial reverse as that design hadn't even been thought of yet! 🙂

Very cool I have a 1941 penny that was stamped on the wrong planchette I'm guessing it was probably the half cent as well I haven't weight it yet though and it's probably in the same condition as the first one you showed

I just found a 1946 s with two lightning strikes through Lincoln's head and on the back the marks look like they were done when it was made they're two marks two lines that go behind his hairline to the back of his nose and then another mark behind that same on the back side

be careful and make sure it’s real, some people grind 1948 pennies down to make it look like 1943
