Akshat please teach us when should we book the profits. I am holding HDFCAMC still because I feel like post COVID people are returning to stock market and AMC companies would do well but it has already grown by 90% from my but value. I am not sure if what I am thinking is greed and hope in the more returns or not. Basically sometimes I feel that I am in some kind of bubble. I have reasons to belive in what I buy or sell but many times I question my thought process and confuse myself with overload of information. Please guide if possible.

The man makes a lot of sense. I bought it when it was up 4.2% in March, 2024. I purchased over $200,000 worth of it I.e 25% of my retirement savings. Seeing this video leaves me with mixed feelings.
I'd suggest you speak with a market expert before making any decisions rather than act on every forecast. Remember UA-camrs do it for the views and engagements with no real market experience.

@@Higuannn Well, they are hundreds of consultants out there, I've worked with a few personally but I chose Alicia Estela Cabouli as my advisor. She is SEC regulated with offices in the US and quite frankly a genius with portfolio diversification. She has a wide web presence so it shouldn't be a hassle finding her.

I have bought many stocks suggested by him in the past. He has a consistent record of choosing the losers.not sure if he helps some operators offload their dead investment because his followers buy those stocks, it rises, some big players offload, and the stocks falls back. Hi Akshat, on Aavas as you said there is a big volume bar showing a buy, in Zerodha the bar is in red colour so it means it is a major sell right? And if it a major sell, then it is a red flag on the movement of the stock going forward. Correct me if I am wrong
Akshat has extra cash to bet on the stocks now. So unless you dont have extra cash and if you cannot hold for more than 2-3 years, do not purchase stocks when the market is at the highest level as now the discount is very low. Whoever, purchased stock between 13th to 23rd Mar'24, should have made 25- 30% profit. We have election this month, and the stock can fall again like last month (13th to 23rd Mar'24). So the best way to do stock buying is to do SIP when there is a discount of more than 25%, as for the last 7 months the stock market is highly unpredictable, with the drastic sudden fall. So no matter what, only purchase good stocks with SIP when there is more than 25% discount, and once there is profit, just book the profit alone and continue SIP again when there is more than 25% discount and keep doing this as a long term investing. For short term invest purchase good stocks, when there is more than 25% discount to be on the safer side. The finance minister has announced that after election govt spending will be cut, so keep that in mind and don't invest unless the discount is more than 30-35%.
The red bar does not mean more selling than buying.
The buying is ALWAYS equal to selling. If someone is buying, then someone else must be selling that equal amount. Stocks are like apples. You can't buy if someone is not selling. You can't sell if someone is not buying. The big volume only means that a lot of people bought and an equal lot of people sold.

The big volume bar you showed for AAVAS doesn't necessarily mean its a BUY volume. It's the overall Buy/Sell volume for that day.
Buy volume on a day should be same as sell volume for a day, isn’t it as somebody buying will take it from someone selling.

Bruh that high volume indicates some interest shown by the big money( big investors) so if they buy the share someone needs to be there to sell!!. Just understand this basic thing that from here the stock can fall also and give a run up also.

Point #1 is absolutely incorrect. A person intending to do tax loss harvesting need not wait till April to re-buy; he/she would sell and re-buy instantly to avoid any loss due to price movement. So, the logic that market is moving up due to people re-buying in April for tax loss harvesting done in March is baseless.
You have to buy with a separate demat account, or wait at least one day. Otherwise that will go as an intraday

Generally what happens is that I will book a loss on my Mutual Funds, and it will take 2 working days to come to my account, and then I will invest in April starting.

Bro have you heard of T+0, T+1 , T+2 settlements..you should not buy same stocks on same day which you sold for tax Loss Harvesting.. You need to wait 1 or 2 days then purchase it to avoid tax

what is the future of page industries, it is falling regularly,should we sell it and shift to some other stock.
There's a lot of factors working against the stock. Trust me, I'm a competitive swimmer. I'd once pledged loyalty to Speedo and Jockey. My entire swimming kit was Speedo, caps, goggles, fins, costumes, everything. Now it’s mostly Nabaiji.
Problem is, they have extremely stiff competition. For Speedo, it's Decathlon's Nabaiji. For Jockey, it's Rupa. Their competitors provide a more affordable product to a price sensitive Consumer base like India. Page's quality is superb, but it can't find takers for it.
Also, there is a coordination problem between the Distributors, Retailers and Manufacturers. They deployed a strategy to overcome it, but it backfired pretty bad.
Lastly, it's a matter of segment as well. If someone actually wants to show off, most swimmers go for Arena's products. As far as inner wear goes, apart from instagram models, no one's looking to really show off their brand. Paying a premium for inner wear doesn't make sense since no one's really gonna recognize it.
Point being, people either don't care for the premium tag of Page Industries, or have a more premium brand to go for. Their distribution system is a wreck, which causes a customer to go back home empty handed cause of unavailability of their preferred choice. And they don't serve the masses since they don't have lower priced products.

If you buy on 1/04/2024 & sell on 20/03/2025, this will be less than 365 days and therefore only short term capital gains attract & question of long term capital gain doesn't arise here..

You always preach and I also agree with the point that one must invest in companies they have conviction in and can stay calm and eager to invest more if the stock price falls by 10-15 or even 20%. But partially contrary to that shouldn't one keep a stop loss of 10-15% max because some falls come out suddenly and no matter what you and I say is somehow justified because the market itself is the biggest teacher and if something is falling there is a high possibility there is some reason behind that. So what I propose is that one must keep a stop loss of 10-15% max on all their holdings individually and reassess from time to time at every 5% upside or downside.
I welcome others thoughts on this

I have a doubt. I recently started investing in share market. For example if I buy 100 shares of tata power at rs 300. After 3 months it becomes 350.. I want to increase shares to 200 but the amount will be squared to 325 which is re 25 more than what I bought initially.. is it the right way to do?
