Nice ! I wish l had done something years ago ! Like a nose job ! But my mom and daddy always said l should be satisfied with what God gave me , and the said that my nose went with my face and that l should be ashamed for there were people born with no nose ! or maybe no arms or legs !,so l never did have it done , now getting old has just made it worse on me l wanted to hide all my life nearly because l didn’t see myself pretty at all , always feeling insecure and inferior to other girls ❤🙏

Except for the part about, "be ashamed for there were people born with no nose" I think the sentiment of wanting your kids to be happy with who they're is one most parents share. I think the idea that we have to love ourselves exactly as we're is beautiful in concept, but much much harder said than done. If you have not already I always recommend speaking with a therapist, it is something that has helped me over the years.
The whole concept of “God gave you” this so you need to be “thankful and satisfied” with it, is ridiculous. Sometimes, people are born with facial or body features that aren’t the most complimentary for them, it doesn’t mean God wants us to be stuck with it. Where is that evidence? Life isn’t perfect and genetics aren’t either. Think about people that are born with cleft palates or teeth that come in very crowded and crooked, have ears that protrude forward like teacup handles, twins that are born conjoined, does God really want people to stay that way just because they were “born that way?” Why? God also “made” intelligence and gave people a gift to use such like Dr. Sadati, to help people with facial surgeries to give people more confidence and less anxiety about their appearance. What’s so hypocritical is that those that say “God made you that way, do you shouldn’t change it,” are the same people that color their gray hair (God gave them gray hair too,) or cut/perm their hair to make it “change it” to look more attractive, get their ears pierced, wear makeup etc..(they weren’t born with their ears pierced or have makeup on) but they still change themselves anyway. 🙄 Do what YOU need to feel good about yourself and don’t believe this nonsense of being guilted into thinking you have to be stuck with something that makes you uncomfortable. 😡
