Ledian could honestly get a new evolution and it working. She only has the 2 pokemon in her line and she’s pretty small, so you could reasonably see her getting a 3rd stage
Ledian for me has always been a solid early game screens setter, he should have followed in Illumise and Volbeat and obtained Prankster. Screens ✔️ Tailwind ✔️ Screech Encore Captivate Roost Baton Pass Sub Safeguard and Sunny Day
I have literally made hundreds of Shuckle sets, he is my muse. Allow me to share some of my favorites: GSC OU, Rest/Sleep Talk/Flash/Dig. You exist to piss off Snorlax. That is all. Gen 6 & 7: Infestation, Power Split, sticky webs, and rest. Just the world's shittiest revenge killer/momentum sink. Incredible stuff. In a doubles draft league I guard split its defenses onto my partner's Guzzlord, and we succesfully stalled. It was horrifying. Edit: Contrary also has some funny tech, swapping Shuckle into defog means getting a legal evasion boost.
Shuckle is the epitome of peak design. It’s bug/rock type because it’s literally a bug that lives inside a rock so there are no stupid questions about what it’s supposed to be. It doesn’t matter if you lose a Pokemon battle because it’s so sturdy you can just apply pure blunt force trauma to the other trainer with it and hide the evidence in a Pokeball. You can give it a berry to make juice because it took when life gives you lemons to heart and now you have an infinite money scheme in your pocket that would make Smoothie King weep. It’s shell comes in red and blue while its body is yellow to assert its dominance over anything that released in Gen 1. Don’t mess with Shuckle.
Thank you Jim for a dedicated video on my favourite and objectively the best pokemon in the franchise. A lesser known fact about Shuckle is they are an avid world of warcraft player with over 15 confirmed Naxx clears. This might make them one of the few candidates able to track down Trapinch in the Burning steppes without risking being lost forever in the Cauldron.
They need to give Shuckle an evolution like they did to Duraludon and Archaludon, not only would this grant Shuckle Pseudolegendary status, but it will also make for a diabolical Eviolite set
When I look at the comments I see Gamefreak has so many possibilities to make Shuckle incredibly broken. Give it Body Press to OHKO everything. Give it a evolution with much more HP + it can also use an eviolite that way or just give Shuckle a Mega that inverts its defensive and offensive stats and give it 100 more speed + Gen 7 Disguise + Sturdy in 1 ability. Shuckle deserves some love! Shuckle deserves to be broken!
Bulk is not only consists of your defensive stats but also your typing and HP. Shuckle has a terrible base 20 HP making it frailer than most tanks used in competitve pokemon. Rock/Bug type is also not a good defensive type as it has 3 weaknesses and only 2 resists
@@titojreballar4050 Which is why Shuckle is now only being used as a hazard setter for offensive teams. It may not be the best tank but it sure can hell survive long enough to get two super important hazards down before dismissing itself.
I used to have so much fun using Shuckle in gen 6 as nobody expected it to 1-0 most of their teams by stalling lol I especially loved Toxic/infestation and Contrary mixed with Shell Smash was great for maxxing defenses If only it could learn body press 😂

i was going to sit here and opine about the fate of trapinch and his million dollar package, but then i remembered that no news is good news. trapinch is well and muk will have his money, just as he has his day.
I used one of these back in on-cart Gen 8 3v3 Singles. It set up webs and rocks for a Swords Dance Karatana and a D-Max Cinderace. It also stalled with Sand Tomb (no idea why I did that instead of Infestation). It... wasn't good, but I at least ruined some kids' dreams by destroying their hacked legendaries even after a Dynamax. EDIT: My Shuckle also held a Rocky Helmet. The idea was that it would soften things up to make it even easier for Kartana to snowball.
I remember when I got my first Pokemon game (crystal) from a GameStop over 2 decades ago. The save file was hacked, and had tons of Celebi and Lugia and Mew in the box. But for some reason, there was only 1 Shuckle. For years, I thought Shuckle was literally the most powerful and secret legendary Pokemon of all time, and honestly, I wasn’t wrong
If Shuckle got body press it would become god. Its absurd base defense multiplied by a defensive nature would already let it one tap most things, but adding in Contrary shell smash would let it use one turn of setup and start one tapping anything that doesn't have either ghost typing or a Sash type effect.
Shuckle did hit OU proper at the height of Dracovish meta in Gen8. Turns out you can go all-in on Shuckle lead webs if you have Dracovish in the back to just click Fishious Rend over and over. Shuckle isn't too good now in Gen8, but had his best placing of all time there, similar to Araquanid spiking in usage now in Gen9.
Shuckle is one of my favorite picks in gen 9 Natdex draft. He usually goes for like 2 points, and has really great synergy with gholdengo, which typically goes for like 15, 16. For 2 points you get webs, rocks, something toxiced or encored, something with rock tomb speed drop breaking sturdy/sash, or something red carded out
My absolute favorite thing to do with shuckle in Gen 6 OU when it was current gen was Infestation Rest Shell Smash Toxic. Just sitting there as my opponent failed to do anything as the mold takes hold.

You have neglected to mention the insane power trick set. Swapping your Atk and Def stats having 230 atk and 10 def. In doubles shuckle can also guard split a team mate, primarily high hp targets like Chansey/Blissey, Snorlax or Slaking

I know this isn't this channel's focus but it's funny how Shuckle dominates certain low-level Pokemon Go pvp formats simply because defensive stats increase your CP level less than offensive stats, so it can just have way better stats while keeping its CP under the threshold.
My cats always tell me:"If Shuckle gains 80 more Base HP and 130 Base speed, it would have more stats."

Shhhhhuckle is one of the most unique pokemon in the entire series.
If shuckle lost 30 def and spdef and gained 50 hp, it would both have less total stats and have better bulk
If you use ditto against a shuckle, it makes the copy more sturdy than the original, since ditto mimics all stats except HP.

Contrary shuckle is such a meme. You could go a step above and give it substitute then use defog on shuckle and it gains evasion instead of losing it.
