You can use a piece of foam board to “sand” the rough edges of your foam board. I’m so impressed with your measuring and cutting skills.
have tried this in the past some things work well, but others not so great. any pressure, or pushing that bends the board can render the whole thing "broken". Some can be shored up with another piece of foamboard strip to fortify the bend. If you really want to make your projects fancy you can cover them with contact paper! If you are doing a lot with foamboard you will LOVE Logan FoamWerks foamboard tools!
You are so lucky to have your own crafting room! I love it! This way you can keep all of your little treasures in a one place!
I had to buy the black foam poster boards when I moved into my apartment, used it on my windows ……( after being in a house for over 30years ) because the flood lights and street lights were like a beacon in my bedroom!
We use black foam boards to cut the outside lights too, and white ones during the day as a privacy screen/ heat deflector that still lets some daylight in.
Sobo Glue was required at my college architecture studio when building models out of foam core. It dries clear. I highly recommend. One more tip, use a corked back straight edge to slice your foam board to prevent slipping and cutting yourself or your plastic scale.
One of the best and simplest videos I have ever watched. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
So me being the extra person I am, I’m over here thinking omg! I could put designs on it and coat it in resin and make it SOLID 👀
It was so beautiful to watch your ideas come to life! Thank you for sharing!!!
I swear u r a genius Shannon! U always have a surprise waiting for us! Thanks for sharing
I try my best ❤️ Thanks for the love!
@@TheDailyDIYerare these all your original ideas?
the organizier draw is such a wonderful idea, I have bought the draw inserts, but the DIY will work perfectly for my kitchen draws for item specific :D and now I can use them to help out in my craft room as well. thanks
I’ve used foam board and mount board to make a desk tool organiser and ink pad storage organiser. Covered mine in beautiful papers and they look so good.
I found Walmart foam board to be less expensive than $tree
REALLY!? I must check that out! I have noticed it is a better quality in the past too
@@TheDailyDIYer with the way prices are it could have gone up 🤷🏼♀️
Really. I need to check that out as well. Ty for sharing.
There's actually quite a few items that are cheaper elsewhere. Between the craft store (coupons help) & Walmart, dollar tree has really lost its appeal for me.
Or Dollar General especially if you go to remodel where it’s a penny also Michaels dumpster when they clear out picture mats which is weekly just because it hits the dumpster doesn’t mean it’s dirty❤ upcycle
WOW...not too far off!!! Thanks, Shannon for all your creativity and MATH Skills!!!❤😊
Who would have thought it was that easy? LOL 😂 ONLY YOU 😊 Thanks!
8:14 OMG LOVE THIS DIY NEVER WOULD I HAVE THOUGHT OF THIS
You are an absolute genius love it along thank you 🦋🌈💙💗
What a great idea for that lazy susan! I love it! My only deviation will be using one of dollar trees burner covers for the bottom. Ive held on to an old one that got rusty on me so just did some sanding and painted it. You just gave me a good use for it. Thank you, thank you! 😊
Did I see that you had a tape measure "cozy"? Way cool! Thanx
I’m guessing that you used 15!
You’re so creative and talented. I love ❤ love your videos.
Thank you for sharing your ideas, talents, and skills with us.
WOW. Great ideas Shannon! Thank you.
Glad you like them! Thank you too!
Better Help is a great sponsor! I honestly believe that everyone can benefit from therapy. Friends get worn down being a sounding board. Everyone's relationships will benefit from therapy.
Thank you, Shannon!
I love the riser...my favorite thing!🐰🐇
💜🐰
Better help is FANTASTIC!!! I love my therapist too
Love to hear that!! 🩷🩷🩷
My guess is 5 pieces of foam board 😊 love your videos ❤
I would use those risers for my essential oils, easy to see what I have. I liked the drawer organizer, really handy for my junk drawer.
Love the lazy Susan. I might get my saw out and make it from wood! Thank you!
That’s a much better choice than using foam board
I love your channel Shannon! I like the transparency you have in admitting like life is hard! Sometimes we need someone! ❤
That's incredible, thanks for the ideas for the drawer organizer, for a year now I've been trying to get more organized and the drawer I use for the silverware and a couple of odds and ins . Never have been able to get a hold of that till now I'm going to Walmart on Monday and getting a bunch of foam core boards , again thanks Ms Shannon
Love all foam board projects! Knew they were going to be awesome! 🤍🩷🤍
Excellent ideas Shannon ! Thank you for sharing!😁
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing. You did a great job on all your projects.
These hacks are great! I even have used shipping boxes when I receive supplies. I can then add paper or fabric to make covers depending where I want to use the..
The bulletin board was my fave. 😊
Hope you get a change to make one too! Happy crafting!

Thank you! 😊
Some very useful ideas❤
Love the fabric organization and the lazy Susan.
Thanks!
Great ideas!!! Thank you!
Amazing ideas for foam board!
Nicely done!!❤
Thank you! 😊
TIP!!!!: using a blade on the end of your wood burning tool/solder tool, makes cutting foam board clean and super easy (and less of that screetching cringy sound that happens when you cut foam with a regular knife).
Great Ideas, thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks for watching!
I liked the video before it even started. 😊I like paper diy/crafts since kindergarten 😂
Love to hear that!
I’ve been wanting a folding spatter box for my craft room. Seeing how you made your cubes, has given me an idea on how to make one.
Thx, Shannon!
Great doable ideas , thanks Jennifer🌹🌹🌹🌹
Thanks Jennifer!
I LOVE YOUR CRAFT ROOM…THE COLOR SCHEME HOW U HAVE THE PASTEL RAINBOW UGH LOVE
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Great job !!!!
Thank you so much!
I loved using the tote bag to cover the board.
I realized I have a lot of tote bags. I can use them to create pin boards too!
Thank you❤
Great ideas !! Thank you !! 🌹🌹🌹
Thanks for watching! 🩷
Great job!
Great ideas using foam boards. Blessings 😊 🙏
Thanks so much! 😊
Great projects. Love, love, love the hair!
Thank you so much!
Shannon I love all of these ideas! I'm going to try the turntable for my kitchen utensils. Moved into a retirement cottage and cupboards are low. All the holders I've found are to high to go underneath them. I'm going to play around with it and make it to fit. May cover with some of the contact paper to give it some pizazz. Thanks again.
Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤
Wow 7. Great organization hacks. Love the note pin board.😘👍
Great ideas on how to organize with foam board
Awesome video!!! Love the projects💜💜💜
Thanks so much!
That caddy would be great for my craft supplies storage (like paint pens and markers).
I love that lazy Susan I think I’ll try it and put some pretty washy tape on the seams
I am excited about the bulletin board idea! I've still got the one I bought in college (class of 1976!) at our family message station and it is WHIPPED. Problem is ... I'm allergic to cork now, so I can't replace it. Or I thought I couldn't. Thanks so much for showing me I can!
I'm also going to make a bin for the back of my silverware drawer. I love the divided bin I bought for the metal flatware, which fits beautifully across the width, but is a few inches less deep, so it's always sliding. It's a good spot to stick the plastic flatware we accumulate with carry out though; with a foam core box to fit the space, I can have the plastic corralled and the metal bin stay put. :)
One additional thought ... when hubby changed a light fixture in the kitchen, we ended up with a gap in the sheet rock just below the upper cabinets over the sink. I cut a strip of foam core to fit the space, about 3" wide, and covered it with the same fabric I used for my kitchen curtains, then just glued it up. It's been there for years and still looks good. I realized this morning that I like it better than I would have liked the wood trim I originally wanted hubby to put there.

@TheDailyDIYer
Have you considered using contact paper to cover/line the foam board and make it wipeable? And more waterproof (within reason😉)
Is there an easy way to smooth out the rough edges of the cut foam board?
I cut it to size and use the foam board to line wire shelving in my pantry. It created a flat surface so that the items sitting atop it don’t wobble around🙂
Talk about easy projects.. What fantastic ideas.. I would never have thought to use foam board like that...😁👍😁👍🤗🤗🤗

Thanks for watching!
Great easy ideas
great ideas !
Thank you! 😊
That’s amazing 🤩
💛🩷💜💚
Fun projects! Really like the bulletin board & spinning organizer. Have you ever used your Cricut to cut foam board that isn’t too thick? I find foam board to be so messy & hard to cut cleanly & wondered if it would work with my Cricut (Maker 3). Agreed wholeheartedly with another commenter: love your cutting skills here!
My kitchen drawers have a guide in the upper center so not all drawers have side rails. I’m in an older home. I dont think everyone knows they have to look for that and shorten the height down the center of the drawers. This is a great idea btw.
Cute ideas❤
Thank you! 😊
Great video!
WONDERFUL VIDEO!!!
Thank you very much!
Awesome ideas 👌👌
I think you used 8 foam boards. I love how these turned out, such creative ideas! 😊
Thank you!
9 sheets of foam board 😊

Hi Shannon diy donna here love the video thank you for sharing with us yes I talk to 3 Different counselors a weak. I do talk to a grieving counselor to get over the passing of my niece and parents. And then I talk to a regular counselor for my stress and stuff and I have another one for group. I am 8 years clean. So I do still talk to my counselor about that as well. There is nothing wrong with having counselors thank you for sharing with us
This is wonderful to hear Donna! It can be hard to get started, but it sounds like you have really put yourself as a priority and found your way ❤️ Wishing you continued healing. It is a journey and you are on the right path. Hugs friend!
Thank you so much and the same for you
Some really cool ideas.
Thanks!
I was way off. Beautiful projects using foam board. Please share more ideas.
I have no many more ideas! I will save them for later. Thanks for guessing still!
@@TheDailyDIYer ok friend, looking forward to seeing them. You're welcome. It was fun to guess.
Tiered riser would be in my craft space. All of these would be as I’m working on organizing and creating a workable space because my space has gotten overrun and it’s too overwhelming to attempt to do anything in there 😞
Hi Shannon,
Before you said how .much foam board you used I was thinking 6 to 7. I have never worked with foam board but the other day on Pinterest I saw a reel. Where the young woman (wife and mom) had the same metal stacks in her linen closet as me. She measured the length and width and covered the foam board with peel and stick wallpaper. She also bent down about 2 inches to hide the underside of the rack. I already have had a blue paisley peel and stick.
My kitchen drawers are the standard depth and standard deepness but, not the width. My drawers are little. 6 inches wide and I have 8. One is a junk drawer (batteries, command strips, etc). For my silverware I have bought hard plastic utensils drawers by a company called Gizmo. The silverware but, my one drawer with knives, serving spoons other items would be great decided up. Then if your looking something you will not be nicked by a knife or something else.
Regarding the risers, I am redoing my sewing area right now and I think a riser to group my green threads together or all the other colors would be wonderful. I am not the greatest with measuring but, would aim to try my best . I love making this divider yourself. It seems as though my Amazon items are disappearing so fast between receiving the photograph on my phone to my going to my apartment door literally in an hour. The last item stolen I was very down about and the painter took it who painted the apt across the hall. I wanted to make Valentine's candles for family. All the wax and wicks were bought but I added the heart trays from Amazon. I couldn't make my gifts. With foam board I can pick it up and bring it home. Great ideas Shannon.
Love, Rebekah
3 sheets of foam board!
I was off by 3, but I loved each and every project!
like your cute tape measure
You could also cover the foam board boxes with material to match your decor and I think it would strengthen the boxes a bit too. Thanks for a great video. Rose
Great idea! Thanks!
I would say 6.
Great ideas
Thank you! 😊
I'll take a guess at 5 but don't know what all you're going to make yet 😊
Edit: those were some pretty neat things you came up with 🤩
16 pieces
It would be cute to cover the caddy with contact paper to finish it a bit.
I agree!
