I learned so much from Pat... It is now 2023 and I am 76 years old... And have become incredibly great with horses due to Pat.. I ride about 2 hours a day 5 days a week give or take... I can never thank him enough for what he taught me.
I have had amazing results with my 3 year old mare... It only gets better with more quality time... Knowing what to do, when to do it and how to do it.. The feel Cannot be taught (Natural ability).... Develops naturally..... That comes with experience and a natural horse sense... However, Pat Perelli's education / insight is a must have....
My name is J Onand Lopez my son is Luke Robert Lopez you have met him I keep preaching to him to watch you because you’re a nominal I’ve learned a lot about you I’ve been in Texas for a long time learning a lot of different things about horses and 60 now and still training horses and turning bad Horses into good Horses thanks to you may God bless you
I loved that, I can't wait to have a go with my best mate dan, my Australian brumby buddy, so inspi ring! We ride bareback with just a rope around his neck, he will follow me around go fast slow in a yard and now thanks to u pat, there are even more. Fun things to do! Yay, thank u!
Would love to have seen him when he was green and how you were able to get the buck out of him. This takes a lot of time.. inspirational, but this doesn’t happen over night.
I watched Pat get bucked off this boy when he first got him-we were at an advanced clinic-he was dragged when his foot got stuck in the stirrup, until he rolled over, face down on the dirt, and the boot came out. Right before lunch... This is the best I've seen him work with him...Wonder what Tom Dorrance had to say...
Really enjoyed that! Thankyou: I learned so much from you over the years. I had the pleasure of attending one of Tom Dorrance’s last clinics. He did it from the back of a pickup truck.. amazing.
Dear Mr. Parelli, What a lovely relationship you have with this horse.I have such respect for the way you put yourself out there in this video. Clearly the flags are used as guides and not as punitive instruments, but I have noticed (with myself) that they interfere with the core energy and the feel that i am sending to the horse. They distract me and convolute my connection with the horse. I usually end up dropping them, especially if the horse is leaving me behind.. Mr.s Dorrance and Hunt did not use them. I suspect they chose not to for a reason. Most respectfully submitted....
Yes. I know Buck Brannamen uses flags. I guess i like the "life" of the rope. To each his own! I appreciate that Mr Parelli submitted himself to a teacher like Mr Dorrance. Most commercial clinicians don't want to appear to be students. This speaks to Mr. Parelli's humility.
Wow one thing for sure you have a way with such and amazing beautiful animal, thanks Pat for all your videos you put on here for the world to see, I watch them all the time as I have now two horses my first being a TB who at one stage I was riding him but was thrown off another horse I was thinking of buying no never got him in the end as I was air lifted to hospital a week later I was just to scaredto get back on, iIhad wasted a lot of money on people saying they would work my tb for me but was happy to take the money but did nothing with my horse, so iI moved him from were he was and fromwatching your vvideos everyday morning and afternoon I can get my tb to do just about anything.now watching this video today I'll be doing some of it with him tomorrow . so a big thank you for sharing . Elle
Jow Pat I like this video so match. It’s a very inspiration. Did I see it well that you have a health problem white your knee? I wish you a speedy recovery.
this is so cool! I would be interested what Tom Dorrance suggested, if we are able to find out? I have the exact same problems as Pat had here, with my own horse. Its so interesting to see this video, thanks for posting it! :D
I think we all would like to know what Mr. Dorrance said. I am curious...once a student is Level 4, are they considered savvy enough for stallions, or is that further learning. I am having to ride and play with a stallion and he is quite good, but even with Level 4 savvy, there are times when I become stumped on how to handle a particular issues of ;stallion behaviors' and what is appropriate to 'allow'...

Watching this master with this amazing horse brought me to tears. I feel renewed to go play with my horses. Cannot thank you enough.
Watching the greats like this...their feel, their joy, their passion...is so inspiring to go out and be a better horseman. A better human.
Stunning and profound

You are so kool. I really like your style, and most of all your way of understanding of horses. I have found my teacher😎

i guess you mean the sticks (with strings) and not "the flags".

Interesting video. Yes I too would like to know what Mr Dorrance had to say and what suggestions he made to Pat. :)
💝🐴LOVE🐴💖

I wish I knew what advice Tom Dorrance gave him.
Probably, "You might want to stop waiving sticks in his face, Pat. How would you like it if people waived sticks in your face."
It was taken in 2000. I remember the horses.
Wow !
What did Tom say?

How long did it take you to train your horse to do that?
What is he doing?
