The images of the beautiful baby bereavement/Angel gowns really touched my heart. Thank you for sharing those. You are a kind soul. You have a terrific shop! Congratulations on your anniversary and I hope and pray you have many more successful years to come :)
Did you have a miscarriage during this video? I am so sorry, babies and pregnancy is so special, hugs and more hugs and prayers! You are a beautiful person ❤️
The angel baby gowns they are so beautiful, what a wonderful thing to make and give to your local hospitals 🥰👼. You are such a lovely lady with a very nice shop 💕 we need you in the UK xxx
For whatever reason, I think consolidating two shops into one is a great idea. I hope you get super comfy and happy there. Your shop has everything, and I’m glad you have so many nice and necessary things to use for your business.
It was so nice seeing the shop! It looks so great, and I love where you placed the painting❤❤ To many many more years of amazing success Aida, you so deserve it. And i have to say you are such a natural on camera, cannot wait to watch more of your videos.
Hi. Congratulations on getting a new place to work from and explaining what you and your husband do. I look forward to watching your video's and have learnt a lot, it's nice to see your enthusiasm. It's a nice thought, making clothes for the hospital. Thank you for posting. Warm and best regards from Liverpool, England.
I'm so glad you have a new shop! I'm a new fan and I'm enjoying you and all your wonderful videos. I learn a lot from you, so thank you for sharing your talents with me!😁
What a great tour. Thank you! I just found your channel recently. I think your work is flawless, your instructions are clear and sensible, easy to follow. And you're fun to watch. I'm so glad I found you. And thank you for the mask Intructions and patterns. You are a ray of sunshine ❤️❤️🌞
I really have learned from the videos you put up. A lot I knew because I did alterations at a shop years ago, where I learned. I also worked for several dry cleaners doing alterations. I wish I knew some of the tricks you have shown me. Thank you. Have a good day.
Thank you for sharing! I haven’t seen your tutorials in a long time. Congratulations on your new space! May God Bless the Works of you and your husbands hands😇
I love your shop and your videos! I have learned so much. You are so blessed to have enough room to store all the stuff I try to store in a spare bedroom. Love the beautiful baby bereavement outfits!
The fat quarters! 😅 "I don't know what happens, every time I go to walmart they end up in my cart." Me too. And yet, i hate working with wonky, cheap fabric fat quarters. But they keep ending up in my cart!
It´s so beautiful to see this kind of shop. I was fascinated with all the machines, many of them I didn´t knew that existed. Lots of love! Saludos desde Uruguay y felicitaciones por el 1er aniversario!
Wow. Impressed with how you keep up with all that! Love your cylinder walking machine? I hope to get one someday soon so I was curious what brand/model yours was and if you would buy it again? :)
Hola querida encantada de ver tu taller, la distribución en fin todo increíble felicitaciones. Saludos desde 🇨🇴 Colombia veo tus videos y he aprendido más, tengo un pequeño taller en casa. Gracias por compartir tu conocimiento👍
Great Place to work and create your magic! Please, what is your source for that great thin fine chalk? it looks wonderful. I have a hard time using chalk because you have to press so hard to get it to mark the cloth. Thank you, Sandi
Have been a subscriber for a while now, Just found this video. Couple questions: what is that chalk you showed that is thin but breaks easily. please can you let me know the brand name or show a picture of it. Secondly, I have the colored chalk, how do you keep it thin, after been using for a while it make a fat line. Thanks for your videos. I am doing alterations out of my home. Not tons of work but I am happy.
Hello! Sorry for taking so long to answer. This is the link for the chalk. www.cleanersupply.com/tailoring/measuring-marking/carmel-disappearing-tailors-chalk-36box-white/#sku=ck101wh And for the other chalk, you can use a sharpening box. Cheers 😊
I've really been enjoying your videos. They have been so helpful for me. I've been trying so hard to figure out what type of chalk you use. Mine just doesn't work as well as yours. I kept pausing the video trying to get a good look, and it looks like maybe its Carmel brand? If it is Carmel brand they have 2 different types. One is wax chalk and the other is clay chalk. Which one do you use??
Thanks! I use mostly this chalk. It's a little pricey but it lasts long if you take care of it. www.cleanersupply.com/tailoring/measuring-marking/carmel-disappearing-tailors-chalk-36box-white/#sku=ck101wh Cheers 🙂
@@DowntownTailoring Thanks Also thank you for the video you made on the american hem. I tried it before and it didn't look right. I watched your video and now I understand exactly what I did wrong. You are a gem. I am a fan for life :)
I noticed you do not have a coverstitch machine. I find that I am doing more and more knit hemming on clothing. How do you coverstitch customers clothing? Are you using a double needle? Are you considering getting one? I find the Janome 1000 cpx is working well for me as I do not have room for an industrial coverstitch machine. I am falling in love with the Jack industrials and would love having one but it is not to be.
Thanks so much for your comment. You are absolutely right. I'm short. I've been able to manage without the coverstitch by doing double stitches, etc. But is not the same. I'm somewhat limited in what I can produce. Sometimes I just feel that I don't have time to hunt for a good one, that's why your recommendation is so well received 😊 Thanks so much!
@@DowntownTailoring I have the Janome 1000 cpx which is the same as the 2000 cpx except for cosmetic changes. They now have come out with the 3000 which does the reverse coverstitch but more expensive but has been getting great reviews from those who have one. There is a learning curve to getting any of the mid priced machines but with your experience you would pick it up quickly. I have been sewing for over 50 yrs. and have my small home alteration business and I am finding I can not live without it as I am getting more and more knits that saves me so much time with this machine. I love the more professional stretch stitch that it offers. It also has a wide harp space and I like that feature. It is easy to thread and works pretty well with the default settings on most everything. People complain about skipped stitches but if one has correct needles for the fabric and use the pressure control knob it never fails me. Join a group and they will trouble shoot your problems while learning and you will pick up on it quickly. It also has a binding attachment which you might also like but expensive. The generic ones work just as well. I was using the double needle but found it took to much time setting it up for projects. You will wonder how you lived without one once you get one. I just found your videos and you have taken on some projects I would not dream of doing although I know I could do them. I have even picked up a few new techniques from you. I have another favorite Utube alteration person and it is Judith Turner and followed her for several years. Unfortunately she passed away but you might enjoy her videos. I am working on watching your entire collection and look forward to new ones.
