Met Mr Daltrey a couple of years ago at Charing Cross Station while waiting for a train...believe he was coming back from a day at Wimbledon, had seen him guest at a Weller gig in the woods at Pinerum Forest Preserve the previous weekend ... was a total gent, funny & self effacing sense of humour, more than happy to expend 5 minutes chatting to a total fan... always great when ur legends turn out to be even more awesome than you dared to hope LoL

@user-zy1hh2wb6g you my friend, are completely clueless. His voice has changed and the raw emotion in this version is phenomenal. If you've only listened to a couple of studio tracks, you really have no idea what you're talking about. That's not live music. Daltrey in particular has a fantastic range, depth and tone that really can only be appreciated in the flesh. I'd suggest you put away spotify and invest your money where real coniseurs do... THE WHO have always been the most wonderful combination of raw power rock performance, incredible voice harmonies and great lyrics. I'm thankful to to have come of age at the same time as them.

I have been involved in music for over 55 years... There are only a handful of songs that I have liked the first time I heard them... This one is at the top of my list... Mr. Townsend, if you can hear me across the Internet, I want to thank you for this song... Above all the others, you have captured how I have felt for most of my life... and yes, I have blue eyes...

I spent many hours in the same room as the original four WHO listening to a most wonderful noise. I love this arrangement of BBE. I met Roger many years ago for a little chat at Tanglewood and he couldn't have been more gracious and interesting. What a great musical legacy this band has. I will never figure out most of John's bass parts.....way beyond me.

I admire their dedication to launch a new tour. Roger still has energy. The voice has changed. But he can still stay on top of the music. Pete has not been " electric" in a long while. I suppose he may have health issues. Live at Leeds was pure electricity. Keith is long gone. And even John hasn't been around in a long time. These guys can still run rings around new groups.
