I just got hired on by a consulting firm and didn’t even know what consulting was or let alone know I was getting hired as a consultant. Now I’m just trying to learn what consulting is lol 😂. Now I’m working on 3 huge projects simultaneously. I also just graduated this year with my B.S.
How did you get your job? I applied for months and years to get a job and never even got an interview. I am now just taking my knowledge I have and starting my own small business consulting firm so I can do what I love which is problem solving business management.
@@yoslo6832 it was through LinkedIn I was apply for jobs. I was getting interviews. I switched up my resume to ensure that it would pass ATS every time I I applied to a new job I would grab the job description and my resume, place it into ChatGPT and have it implement words into my resume. It was fast, I tailored the job desc.. to my resume each time.
@@yoslo6832 I would also randomly connect with people on LinkedIn and eventually someone reached out to me. Said I might match they are looking for, sent my resumes got an interview and I guess they liked me to give me an offer with the role for the projects as well as the firm. After doing so many interviews it just got easier to talk about my self it was just practice. I messed up on so many interviews at first but eventually after doing it for a while and also having Chat GPTs help interviews became a little easier. They are always tough. There’s a lot more but that’s as simple as I can put it.

It boggles my mind why we have no problem with 21-year-olds right out of college trying to tell businesses how to run their business. They haven't worked a day in the real world in big business in their life. Maybe an internship. Get 20 years of real world experience in an industry first and then I'll listen to you. For example I would not hire people who've never teached or worked in an education environment for years to decide who the best teachers are. I would hire people who are experts and have years of experience in education.

How did you get your job? I applied for months and years to get a job and never even got an interview. I am now just taking my knowledge I have and starting my own small business consulting firm so I can do what I love which is problem solving business management.
@@yoslo6832 it was through LinkedIn I was apply for jobs. I was getting interviews. I switched up my resume to ensure that it would pass ATS every time I I applied to a new job I would grab the job description and my resume, place it into ChatGPT and have it implement words into my resume. It was fast, I tailored the job desc.. to my resume each time.
@@yoslo6832 I would also randomly connect with people on LinkedIn and eventually someone reached out to me. Said I might match they are looking for, sent my resumes got an interview and I guess they liked me to give me an offer with the role for the projects as well as the firm. After doing so many interviews it just got easier to talk about my self it was just practice. I messed up on so many interviews at first but eventually after doing it for a while and also having Chat GPTs help interviews became a little easier. They are always tough. There’s a lot more but that’s as simple as I can put it.

Other master’s degrees in fields like finance, economics, or data science can also work, depending on the type of consulting you want to pursue. And actually, some people skip the master’s altogether and start applying right after their bachelor’s, especially if they’ve built relevant experience or skills.

thats truly misleading with my years of consulting procurement. any business is completely different from human being with plenty variables where you have to be in their shoes, not preaching nonsense. look at what at&t got misled from consulting services over decades.

It boggles my mind why we have no problem with 21-year-olds right out of college trying to tell businesses how to run their business. They haven't worked a day in the real world in big business in their life. Maybe an internship.
Get 20 years of real world experience in an industry first and then I'll listen to you.
For example I would not hire people who've never teached or worked in an education environment for years to decide who the best teachers are. I would hire people who are experts and have years of experience in education.
