Idk if Alan and DJ see this, but I hope at least a couple other people can discover this lost piece of lore.
Spoilers for main storyline.
(Edit: I’ll call the sad Cube “Uncle” because ‘cube’ is easy to confuse with Cyan)
As many know, this chapter was planned at the same time as the main game. It was ultimately decided unnecessary, though, and remained unfinished. Players eventually discovered the forgotten chapter, however, and coded it back in. ThatLostGamer played through the unreleased segment, and found a detail that I think is absolutely fascinating.
(I’ll refer to the player as Cyan and sad cube as Uncle.)
In the old version, cyan comes across uncle, crying, trapped, all the same. There are two interesting differences, however. One, is that uncle used to be trapped in a cage, similar to what the birds were in. Not a spiderweb. I think the cage implies that, possibly, uncle was being held prisoner by Blixer (the pink spikey antagonist from the main storyline, the “new fresh”). When cyan frees uncle, Uncle gives Cyan a big hug… … … and just doesn’t let go. Ultimately, the player has to press a button in order to physically break away from uncle, who seems deeply dejected. From that point onwards, uncle followed cyan at a slight distance, crying, heartbroken. The programmers changed this scene, I assume, because it did indeed feel quite sad.
But; this is what makes it so interesting, and what I believe to be their original intention for uncle’s character, and his final character arc.
Uncle was traumatized by his time as a prisoner. Understandably. He quickly forms an intense attachment to cyan, feeling he owes the player their life. He is consumed by a need to protect Cyan from the dismal fate that he himself suffered at Blixer’s hands- which might be why uncle reacted so frantically to Blixer’s original attack on Cyan and the tree. The most important aspect? Recall, right before “Final Boss”, Cyan’s friends, uncle, boat, and helicopter, call cyan over to say good luck and send the player off. After boat and heli, when uncle approaches to say farewell, he picks cyan up… hugs them… *and lets them go.* Uncle releases Cyan of his own accord. That’s why the camera focused in on that final goodbye, in those three distinct segments of the hug.
Uncle has grown as a character, because Cyan has proven that, first, we are not going to leave Uncle. Cyan chased uncle down to save him after Blixer corrupted the land, even when it put our own life at perilous risk. uncle didn’t expect to be saved; he waved sadly goodbye as he drifted away. But Cyan didn’t hesitate to save uncle yet again. Even after uncle was corrupted, Cyan didn’t abandon him, and stayed as the song said- “close to [uncle].”
Secondly, uncle believes cyan is strong enough to defeat Blixer, even though uncle couldn’t, because cyan has brought them all this far. uncle doesn’t take Cyan and run away, or refuse to let go. uncle sends us on our way, wishing us luck, and smiles as he waves goodbye.
I know it’s a small detail, but I find it powerful. I understand why the changes were made, because the initial interaction with uncle is definitely heart wrenching. Either way, it will always be in my heart as the original, intended character development for uncle.

The last chapter is based on a scrapped level called Caverns but was a later found in the files and worked on and been added to the game

caverns wasn't a level, it was a whole chapter and the lost chapter is just the caverns chapter but slightly changed

ThatLostGamer played it, before it was officially coded back in. There are some differences to level design that are pretty fascinating
god, multiplayer playthroughs of this game are among my favorite things, like, EVER. you two have great charisma and ill be glad to watch more of your playthroughs!

I really like how DJ and Alan are playing games that are recommended to them, but I hope they don’t feel pressured to play them even if they don’t like them. ❤ They have so much charisma that I would watch them play any game, as long as they are chilling.
I had actually forgotten about the lost chapter but I'm glad they played it, i'm worried how they will react to last tile since that one is pretty difficult but this was fun

I agree I have almost finished the game and it is really cool and fun and yah the story line is great both characters get a new power or ability almost every chapter it also requires a lot of IQ and it is a fighting game as well. And one of the characters May gets to fight a squirrel 🐿. So yah it is a great game I highly recommend it.

But anyways it's a game about a couple that mid divorce gets turned into to little dolls and they have to work together to get back in their bodies, and on the journey they fall in love again. The gameplay is pretty good I have to say and the game is very interesting

here is some tips causual makes story mode easier and if you are playing on a playlist party mode will make it impossible to lose ( hope this helped).

game recommendation: will you snail, its an indie game, made by a UA-camr called Jonas troller its a very unique r̶a̶g̶e̶ ̶p̶l̶a̶t̶f̶o̶r̶m̶e̶r̶ very calm platformer, also there may be some surprises along the way but I think you'll like it. very creative game 10/10
