    What I love about this video (And the channel in general) is it doesn't just explain a proverb/tactical rule of thumb and just leave it there. Exploring examples of when the proverb is not applicable is a necessary step in gaining an understanding of why it generally is.

      Thank you. Indeed, we believe it is important not only to present concepts but also to provide explanations for them.

    Why is the original voice preplaced with Vadim's voice?

      Fortunately, that's not the case.

    I have a question about the end result in example two. When presenting example two it was explained that there was a lot of opportunity for white to live on the bottom. After the moves in the center it is said that black defended the bottom, but I feel like an invasion might still be possible, possibly using the two white stones as aji. Is that not the case, were the moves in the center enough to disallow white from living along the bottom?

      When the opponent has invested that many stones on the bottom side, launching an invasion becomes a challenging endeavor. In games of amateurs, even experienced ones, like SDK, such invasion might still be feasible. However, even in their games the player attempting the invasion will face a tough battle. For professional players, having such a dense concentration of stones in a particular area generally precludes any successful invasion efforts.

      Originally we made the course from which this video is taken in Russian, to make it more convenient for Alexander. Then we decided to add English voiceover.

    whats so bad about a triangle

    • @GoMagic
      @GoMagic  4 місяці тому +4

      Empty triangles are considered bad due to several reasons. In general, they fail to contribute to expanding territory or exerting influence on the board. Also, they create structural weaknesses with fewer liberties.
