I no longer have original handlebar. But the convertibars can be adjusted to lower than stock to as high as a sport cruiser in 5 min with just two bolts. But if you really gotta have it stock, sorry, I don't have them anymore.
FYI - I made those comments before I knew that this bike was built by a shop mechanic at Houston who threw virtually every trick part in the world on this bike... so yes it's got lots of expensive suspension goodies on it. It got up to $5800 on E-bay but didn't sell. Just further proof that adding mods to your bike is only worth it to YOU - it's all money that you won't see again when you sell it. Still... very nice bike.
Beautiful bike! I've got a k3 sv1000 in silver, and I love it. I'm curious, how did u wire up the rear blinkers with the two lower mounted lights (what was spliced in and where)? I like how it's setup and I think it would definitely help with rear visibility!
Very nice sir! Why the spacers at the front of your gas tank? More air flow? Mine doesn't have them. Does it not overheat with the full side fairings? Very Nice ohlins too! Also what engine oil do you run? Synthetic? Very nice bike! Very nice!😎👍
what did you do to the air box, and how about that stupid crank case sponge that it comes with stock. I think mine got sucked into my bike after i put a KN air filter on it. The last owner did not take a care of this bike internally at all. I did pick it up with a 42 tooth sprocket and duel yoshi for a good price though.
I suggest don't get the full fairing if u ride a lot in hot weather and/or slow traffic. That 1000s get so hot when not moving you can't touch the frame without burning your hands. I had to turn it off in traffic cuz its just ridiculous.
That's about the nicest SV1000S setup I think I've seen. Lots of tasteful upgrades without looking tacky. But, replace that hunk of abrasive keychain before it tears up the top yoke. :)
Beautiful! Are the fairings the oem colour? Or have they been sprayed? I bought fairings for my sv650s but they turned out to be a light blue colour. Not the same as the original dark metalic blue at all. Should be more like this colour. What brand is the windshield?
Actually, you don't know the colour code do you? Mine looks like candy grand blue (YC2) but yours possibly looks like Deep Blue #2 (YBA). Colour codes pensandpixels.com/classic/sv/sv_colors.html
You can replace the scissors cam gears with solid adjustable versions which don't whine at all. Because the solid gears lack the tension of the scissors springs there must be some lash so you'll get a wee bit of chattering noise...but no whine. A side benefit of the adjustable gears is you can alter cam timing....106/109 works pretty well.
Very nice, I like I like! Get a better steering damper tho....I'm in hospital right now coz I didn't have one on my cbr...that death wobble isn't fun at all at 90mph
lol what's with the bar risers? you can't race with that bike. you have to remove the mirrors and all lights it's just a street bike bro. still beautiful tho.
Dan Johnson Not entirely true. Yes, the 650's do have cable clutches but there is a kit available for a cable actuator in place of a hydraulic. Im actually considering doing this to my '06 as there is no adjustability with the stock 1000 hydraulic setup. The kit is made by spears enterprises part sp05-1000
If you run into SV forum a lot you will notice cable conversion is very popular for SV1k's. On the other hand it's difficult and pointless for an SV650 to have SV1K swing arm. There are plenty of kits to allow SV650 to use GSXR rear wheels to run 180 tires. This bike is an SV1k alright
Cuz its single exhaust? That's a full custom exhaust not just a can. 4-2-1 gets you more torque. More torque is more useable on street than horsepower.
$$$$ M4 exhaust is a thing of beauty.
Absolutely gorgeous.
Someone spent some time and money upgrading this beast! looks//sounds awesome man
Have an '06 myself. Those mods are incredible. Put's mine to shame!
You've dropped some serious coin on that bike - well done for your efforts.
Rims are sick! Nice bike
I no longer have original handlebar. But the convertibars can be adjusted to lower than stock to as high as a sport cruiser in 5 min with just two bolts. But if you really gotta have it stock, sorry, I don't have them anymore.
Where did the hydraulic clutch go?

Very true
Very clean SV! I want the M4 pipe. Have the yoshi's on now but the M4 sounds so much better!
Beautiful bike
Very clean, full ohlins, marchesini..... I love this bike!!! Complimenti!!!! 👍🏼
This is sv650, sv1000 has hydraulic clutch and this one has definitely cable clutch:)
Do you remember what model of marchesini wheels fits in Sv1000? Thanks

Amazing bike, and the mods along are worth the bikes value easy.
Yes sir! Ohlins shocks and forks.
Sounds amazing
Nice I have a 2004 but man you got all the best upgrades wish I knew how it rides compared to my stock one. What kind of bars are those?
I just got to know where you got those lower fairings from man! I cant find them!
Dang, nice job! Even more $$$ for a dyno tune.
Very nice sir! Why the spacers at the front of your gas tank? More air flow? Mine doesn't have them. Does it not overheat with the full side fairings? Very Nice ohlins too! Also what engine oil do you run? Synthetic? Very nice bike! Very nice!😎👍
More air flow, I had them on mine for 1 ride! I took them off because I hated the induction roar.
How did you fit Ohlins forks into the 46mm standard ? I didn't find any model from ohlins with that measure....
Gsxr600

Damn dude it's beautiful 🙏
very nice, I love the Forks :-)
very very good tun
I’m actually digging the 1000’s love the way they look. I had a 650s badass bike. I might fuckround n get me one lol

@@ronnelandraeGets like 220 degrees during summer.
😳 full king

Lovely
Sexy bike, hotdamn! I'm thinking of picking up this '03 for 3k!
🧼 clean
Did you do the front suspension conversion yourself? If you did your didn't could you point me in the direction to get it done?
Dang my sv1000 needs an overhaul

What brand is the windshield?
martyfriedman666 fairings are OEM colour. Windshield brand is Zero Gravity.
Great, thanks for the info.
Actually, you don't know the colour code do you? Mine looks like candy grand blue (YC2) but yours possibly looks like Deep Blue #2 (YBA).
Colour codes
pensandpixels.com/classic/sv/sv_colors.html
martyfriedman666 correct... YBA - Pearl Deep Blue #2
Yes
whats the rear fender you have? puig? cuz i can't find one that fits my 2007 sv1000s.
Did you notice a power difference going single (m4) to exhausts from the oem dual exhaust?
More bottom end torque. Smoother more progressive throttle response.
I gotta 2003 and this was a damn good example of how much better the bike sounds with 1 exhaust. Looks and sounds beautiful good job bro.
Don’t you wish you could put pirelli sport demons on? I mean the Diablo’s are nice but nothing like the sport demons
Just bought this bike from the 3rd owner. It now has only 13,000 miles. It is a very special SV1000!
The Kelly blue book on this bike is about $4500 - I understand there are mods but... Good luck with the sale
Whats a decent asking price for one of these with low miles?
Any idea how to get rid of the high-pitched whine in these motors? I have the same bike and that high pitched sound is driving me nuts!
Impossible unless you swap the motor for a 650 motor haha
You can replace the scissors cam gears with solid adjustable versions which don't whine at all. Because the solid gears lack the tension of the scissors springs there must be some lash so you'll get a wee bit of chattering noise...but no whine. Oh wow, awesome. Thanks for the details man. I have to pull my engine and replace the case, so I'll look at doing this during that process.
Nice looking bike; but what is making that unusual sound. I have a sv myself even with the hazards on it doesn't make that type of sound ? yl
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
what's the price?
And do you have all the parts to return the handle bars (clip-ons) back to stock?
Nice bike, but why 2in1 exhaust ?? :(
More usable low end torque on the street than top end hp for top higher top speed. This bike is not made for high speeds to begin with anyway.
Very nice, I like I like!
Get a better steering damper tho....I'm in hospital right now coz I didn't have one on my cbr...that death wobble isn't fun at all at 90mph
this looks like more dollars than sense. Polo shirt to match? Ape hangers? Huh.
awesome handle bar !!!
I need that, where you buy it ? do you have a link?
lepi92 www.convertibars.com/
Nice bike! Do you have any numbers of hp/nm? 🙂
This is sv 1000 :D
I'm running sv 650. Or rather it is definitely suzuki sv 650 ;)
The 650 doesn't produce that kind of gear whine from the cams.
真美
OMG ! MOM PLEASE
Is that an Ohlins shock?
Is it for sale?
Yo! Incredible. macho exchange What do you think, guys... 11
2:50 Noooooooo!
Clutch basket is fubar ;)
the obligatory bent radiator
that engine sounds like its got a nasty knock.
More like a tick :)
Yeah that's normal.
this is a street bike, nothing to race on that. pull off miroir light raiser stand preston street tire and this is a race set up
Looks like one of the exhausts has fallen off. Lol.
lol what's with the bar risers? you can't race with that bike. you have to remove the mirrors and all lights it's just a street bike bro. still beautiful tho.
could have bought an aprilia tuono for half what invested. the sv is a cheap bike to enjoy.
It looks like a sv650s, not a sv1000s.
Hard to tell them apart due to the Ohlins forks and 4-2-1 exhaust. But the hybrid gear whine from the cams gives it away. It's the 1000.
Can always tell from axle adjusters too. 1000's have external swingarm blocks on axle vs 650's having the adjuster bolt on the end cap internally.
Lifted_Above nah. This bike has a cable operated clutch. The 1000 would have a hydraulic clutch.
Dan Johnson Not entirely true. Yes, the 650's do have cable clutches but there is a kit available for a cable actuator in place of a hydraulic. thys is suzuki sv650sr
Cuz its single exhaust? That's a full custom exhaust not just a can. 4-2-1 gets you more torque. More torque is more useable on street than horsepower.
i would say.... go to the shop and get a Ducati . :D
And give up reliability?!
it's 650s
That's not just a can. That's a full 2 to 1 M4 exhaust conversion with headers. Thats the sleeper part of it.
the convertibars are fucking expensive
What's up. It's Unbelievable! recess skin What's happening..
why not just buy a proper race bike for same amount of money poured in?
No 1000
This is 600 not 1000 :D
Its a 1000 with a 2-1 full exhaust
650 not 1000
Risers are a total fail.
HAHAHA race setup, has 4" chicken strips.
beautiful bike
