Time-Lapse Clarifying 6 liters of Grapefruit Juice in Spinzall

  • Just to show that you can clarify a lot of product in the Spinzall,
    here is 6 liters being done at once. At 1 liter every 20 minutes this took a little less than 2 hours (the first 500 ml are faster) but required NO babysitting. I could have done much more, but didn't have a bigger bowl. I could also have clarified almost twice as fast, but the product would have been slightly cloudy instead of perfect as it is in this video
    The Grapefruit juice was treated with Pectinex Ultra SPL (an enzyme) and Kieselsol (a wine fining agent made of silica), then allowed to sit for 10 minutes, treated with Chitosan (another wine fining agent), then allowed to sit for 10 minutes, then treated with Kieselsol again. The longer you can let it rest before spinning the better. This is the same technique I use when spinning in larger, much more expensive, centrifuges.

    How long did this take and did you hit the juice with any Pectin SPL or clarifying agents?

    I've finally broke my third cr412 and don't think that I can deal with that again. How long did it take to clarify the 6 liters?
