The fact that he never won an award for his performance in this show is mind boggling! Can’t think of anyone more deserving

Forreal. My first time watching I didn’t really like his character. But I’ve watched it all like 6 times now and he’s such a good character. Shawn plays this role so good. This show is forsure in my Top 3 of all time. Such an underrated but amazing show.

watching these flash backs is so sad now.. I mean it was sad then seeing it all for the first time and we REALLY get to see where his trauma came from in this last season... Shawn Hatosy, freaking nailed it.
Yes exactly I loved seeing that, seeing the reason he was the way he was. It’s sad as fuck really, it was all Smurf, she did it all to him, trained and raised him to be the exact way he was. I always felt so bad for pope. Tremendous actor and role.
Loved this character. The portrayal of that deep seething anger simmering beneath the surface was well done.
I really like Pope, he’s the only one with feelings and a heart… when he isn’t doing bad stuff!!! I still wish he could get away…I still believe he’s a good guy really! Or could be!
Pope is a very complex character, which I LOVE in a good series. He has done horrible things and all that, and yet his morality is still intact. He's a perfect example of the amount of gray areas in life. Nothing in life is black and white. Ever.

Andrew was my Favorite Character from TNT's Animal Kingdom. But Unbelievable that the Sixth Season is the Final Season. I am shocked & worried about him. I feel bad for him when he cries & gets emotional. Good Man & Good Film Actor
And I just Don't want him to die. I really want Season 7 To come out. Can wait to see the Final Episodes of the Final Season

My favorite moment was kinda full circle from the kiddie poole incident- when their cousins attacked the house and Pope drowned Odin by just holding onto him with direct predatory eye contact the entire time. What an amazing kill.

Awesome character. I’m going to miss it very much. I just binge watched the entire series again. It made me feel sad all over again knowing it’s not coming back on. 😢😮

Awesome show and character! Both pope and Jay remind me alot of myself. Esp Pope! Hes got the borderline personality like me. Pope also under all that pain and toughness has a big heart even though he did terrible things. Plus pope is tough as nails. Hes the physically most dominate person in the family. Pope could even kick his physically larger brother Craigs ass if he wanted too.
I still prefer Pope John Paul II, but Andrew Pope is good too😊

Pope was bar none the best character in the show. I wanted him to finish j so bad, but maybe thats just my dislike for j hahaha
Andrew in S1 & 2 was incredible. Then he kinda became…a more awkward and emotionally stunted shell of the psychopath Andrew that was badass.
