You can get the world-famous Hakka mee and Beef noodles in the Seremban wet market about a quarter of a mile from where you bought your instant packet noodles, which are about the same price.
Simply awesome how you can do all that walking all over town. If you have some mode of transportation, you can cover more places of interest. Your vlog is taking shape as you cover the smaller towns that most tourists avoid. Towns like Mersing, Muar, Kota Tinggi, Seremban, etc. You show those towns that even local Malaysians don't bother visiting..
I love exploring small towns and cities that travellers don’t go to. Sometimes they’re more interesting then the bigger cities and I find the people more friendlier as they’re not used to English people in their area :)
Seremban town is so small it is only about 5 miles from north to south and about 3 miles from east to west.you can cover and see the whole town by car in 1 hour.it is a very dull, depressing, boring place, not interesting, not exciting, not entertaining.there are only 3 or 4 cinemas in the whole town.the shopping malls are very small and not as nice as the ones in KL.all the young people don't want to live and work in Seremban bcos they don't like the place even though they were born and raised in the place.
@@JosephLim-gc8tu Well, Seremban is currently expanding new townships and housing projects due to the influx of Klang Valley folks who want to buy property here while working in KL. It is further supported by the Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0 initiative by the state government to leverage the economic spillover of Klang Valley into Negeri Sembilan by prioritising both Seremban and Port Dickson Districts for further development in order to decentralise Klang Valley's urbanization.
@@JosephLim-gc8tu I appreciate your views on Seremban, and it is true as a Seremban-born (but raised in Port Dickson). While both Terminal 1 (bus terminal only) and Seremban station are currently upgrading, Seremban needs an entertainment and lifestyle district, plus resurrecting almost dead malls like Terminal 1 Shopping Centre and Terminal 2. Palm Mall, Mydin Senawang and S2 and AEON Mall S2 seems to be more lively than the two combined.
My late father's home town. The main market in town has plenty of good chinese food. Some dishes there are famous and originated from Seremban (Seremban Beef Noodles).
oldest church in the kuala lumpur diocese is in seremban called the church of the visitation - entrance to church on right gate along the road on the right.
Most of the old towns have their own heritage trail. Thean Hou Temple in KL and the national mosque as well as holy rosary and st john cathedral are those outside the kl old town trail. For a nice contrast view of KL, do visit st anthony church, and behind the church is the merdeka 118 - both built exactly 110 years apart (1913 and 2023)
@olderbackpacker taiping is another town that is similar to seremban - rich in history but usually very quiet. Most of the towns in the state of perak have rich tin mining history but are now almost deserted, though they still have tons of places to visit like bidor, tronoh, kampar, papan, batu gajah, Teluk Intan, ipoh, Kuala kangsar, taiping and etc.
Few minutes from the bus station there is another iconic heritage Minangkabau building (government office) in case you wanna see the difference between that city and other states in Malaysia.
In kuala lumpur, You can also visit the selangor capital of shah alam with the impressive blue mosque, as well as klang which is the state's royal town - which also has a heritage trail and being older than melaka historically, though not significant in old landmarks like melaka. Genting highlands is also a popular day trip from kl with a bus from kl sentral to the cable car up the mountain daily.
@@olderbackpackerThe new stadium is in Paroi area. Ask around the locals for stadium Paroi. Btw the chaps you meet mention Port Dickson. Locals calls it PD. Nice beach and birth to the army since colonial times
Packing any famous meat biscuit for the trip? No comparison to Padang, Sumatra? Didn't pay attention to the little red altar next to the parking lot and the religion it represents, as with Hacked Stone.
nothing there in seremban. sleepy town. however if you want to experience on of the hottest spiciest heat dishes u can go to any malay restaurant in town . u will sweat a lot
Unfortunately I don’t like spicy food :/ I know that’s not something I should admit in SE Asia and I have no idea why people say that Seremban is not worth going to. I loved it.
yes I agree with you.I am from Seremban.born and raised in Seremban.studied and worked in Seremban until retirement.lived in Seremban for 66 years.hate and despise the place so much.the railway station is very old, very small and very ugly looks like it is rotting away and going to collapse.very small boring town, nothing to see, nothing to do, nothing interesting, entertaining, nothing exciting.cannot attract tourists, no tourist goes there not even one.when I lived there for 66 years I never saw even one tourist there.I am so sick and tired of the place I moved to KL while I am still alive to enjoy myself.my advice to everybody is DON'T go to Seremban, DON'T visit Seremban.you will regret it, you will waste your time, money and effort, you will be VERY disappointed, VERY frustrated and VERY angry.
the railway station in Seremban is so small, so old, so ugly, it is so shameful, disgraceful, embarassing, humiliating, disgusting, uncomfortable, inconvenient.instead of demolishing it and build a new modern station, the state government is still keeping it and using it, only replace the old roof tiles with new ones and there are no shop lots, coffeeshops and restaurants where people can have a meal and drinks and buy some snacks and newspapers to read.this is so shameful, disgraceful, disgusting, frustrating, sickening.
For your information, the Seremban railway station is now undergoing upgradation into a larger station called Seremban Sentral, with the old train station building being preserved. The groundbreaking for the Seremban Sentral TOD project has been commenced in January.
Acs my school ! Lol. Thats the old lovely town. You should also see the modern side - Seremban 2
Loooxuree!

Negeri Sembilan is the unqie state in peninsular malaysia to have a huge minangkabau influence, originally from indonesia.
weekdays in KL will definitely be less hectic but the capital city is always bustling with people.
I’ll find out soon lol

Fraser's Crossing will get you out of the heat for a bit.
If you can take a tour it looks as though it will be worthwhile.
I’ll be walking the trail depending on the weather :) It’s not been the best :/
Hey mate, the site of the mall you at opp the train station use to be a stadium.
Wow! Really? I had a walk around it today, it doesn’t seem to be full of shops? Where’s the new stadium?

Fun facts Seremban is the capital city for Negri Sembilan state. There is an old AnW restaurant there near the Tasek area.
Oh theres even a Gurkhas cemetery in seremban. Just googled it.
I’ve just seen it online! Wow. I missed it :(
Welcome to my father’s hometown better go to the Royal Heritage town just half an hour from the terminal bus station by car maybe an hour by bus
I’m hoping I get time :)

Sound like Tanjung Rambutan stuff
Add 10 RM to every nights' stay. The federal nightly hotel tax is inescapable
I realised! It be interesting to know when the money goes to?
Go for a run, why not?
Ummm, your toe!
All fixed :) feel like a new man! 😀
