Another great video Murray. There are a few other caves nearby. The Bone Caves sit directly above the Great Northern Time Machine which can be entered through Rana Hole (vertical gear required) or Uamh An Claonaite (diving gear required for the last bit). Allt Nan Uamh Stream Cave is on the opposite side of the valley from the Bone Caves. The Traligill valley (which you'd take to Ben More Assynt) has some caves as well, Cnockers being the biggest and most impressive (the waterslide entrance is a blast). The Grampian Speleological Group are the best folks to talk to if you want to visit them. Oh, and that dry river isn't always dry. Crossing it in flood is "exciting" :-)
thanks for the info - sounds a mighty interesting place , especially for cavers - not sre I'd have the bottle to head underground - got too much of a tendancy for batteries running out!! lol Thank For watching ATB Murray Bone Caves Inchnadamph
claonaite Wow!!......and all that is under our feet....I'm sure by the sounds of it that you thoroughly enjoy it....not for me either.....I couldn't stand being enclosed....btw why is the cave called the time machine? Tried to Google it....all I got was adverts for popcorn machines...atb
Another great adventure Murray. How interesting that the stream flows at quite a pace out of nowhere (well maybe not quite eh...) Thanks for sharing :)
thanks Brian - the stream appearing from nowhere is well worth the visit alone- a special place :) Thank For watching ATB Murray Bone Caves Inchnadamph
well worth the visit - even if just to the Bone Caves and river appearing from the pool - a great wee hike - cant recommend it enough Robin :) Thank For watching ATB Murray Bone Caves Inchnadamph
Really appreciate the hard graft you put into your videos Murray. To climb Scotland's Mountains, whilst also being a one man film/drone crew is so impressive & to be able to do so in conditions like you met in this video is awesome. Thank you.
Murray absolutely lovely! Great share as always, thanks for freezing for us! 🙂 really enjoyed as always! Pretty neat. I love the historical story too! Cheers My Friend 🙂
Scotland's geology is amazing....it gets more fascinating the more I find out....you really do suffer for your passion....that 'white out' looked bleak❄❄❄🐧...thanks for taking us with you🎇
Not heard of that place before. Enjoyed that little trip Murray and good that you stress the importance of taking good outdoor gear and layering in such changeable weather. Thanks for sharing your memories again. ATB Dave.
Those caves and the waterfall and spring looked like my sort of place to walk to :D Thank you for sharing them with us . I could not believe that snow blizzard you were greeted with up on the top !!!! Crazy!! also oh my goodness 12 hrs in total !!!! and only 4 of it walking !!!! I bet the driving was a bit of a pain? Atb :D Teddy
Murray thanks.. 🤗 what a great video once again. "Weather geological" 😆 watch you don't become eroded with time too. Local interest plus highlighting the need to respond to weather conditions and be prepared/equipped for changes. Top stuff.
My husband and I are coming to hike the SNT, but we keep finding additional things to do and see every time you post a video! Love the history, geology and magnificent vistas.
thanks Kelley - loads and load of hikes and places of intrest for you to visit - hope you have a fab time when you come over Thank For watching ATB Murray Bone Caves Inchnadamph
Enjoyed Inchnadamph Bone Caves a few years back during our first NC500 adventure so it was lovely to see them again. Nice vlog as always. Thanks for sharing. Linda & Mark
My favourite corner of the Highlands, with Ben More Assynt my favourite mountain. Unsure whether this recently 'established' North Coast 500 is going to be a good thing...
Nice vid! Here's a link to the other caves in the region: www.sat.dundee.ac.uk/arb/scotland/assynt.html The nearby Allt Nan Uamh cave is currently the longest in Scotland if you're equipped to reach it.
Had a beautiful day for our walk to bone caves heard the deer runting in the hills, beautiful ❤🏴
There is actually a few caves on the journey the bone caves is furthest away in the hills ,magnificent walk loved that day

I was just going to post that as well, being an ex member of the Grampian and spent many hours digging at the end of Allt Nan Uamh Stream cave.
