But it’s plain stupid to not have a bit of patience, get behind the car in the left, and then progress when it’s clear. A lot of people sit in the left lane here which is why overtaking in the right happens. It’s just exercising patience and common sense that’s the problem.
@@luzifer9976It's illegal if there are 2 solid yellow lines separating the lanes, but rules state you need double the distance between the oncoming car for overtaking.
Most of these just feel super fast for a single lane, like 55+ on most of these roads where you should be slowing down and signaling well ahead of time, and if youre carrying a trailer please dont try and overtake with it. These clips should be enough for young drivers to never make hasty and aggressive moves especially when the road is only a 2 wide
This can help people to better understand how situations like this can be avoided. It’s not disrespectful. It’s a matter of consequence to neglectful behavior. We need to shock people back into reality. And if seeing stuff like this is what they need to understand that rules on the road exist for a reason, then so be it.

4:00 they weren't even at fault. Where was that? Was it a vehicle with amber-colored turning indicators? Is this intersection known for such accidents? A separate turning lane would be a great idea if that was the case
there is a reason why left lanes on country roads are considered the most dangerous. The truck behind was mostly, almost solely at fault, however maybe the car couldve slowed down and indicated earlier.
The Kia van was at fault, the number one rule on freeways is that you DO NOT stop on the highway, he could’ve indicated very early on and slowly move down the speed, the bus behind him did not have enough time to think. The driver probably was zoned out and did not have the turn in mind and so when he remembered he snapped on the brakes not realising the huge speeding bus behind him. Tough luck in the end
@@memelox_1705 I honestly have no idea how the rules of the road in the USA work, but in every EU country the one following another car has to do so in sufficient distance so he can avoid just that, even on freeways, highways, interstates, call em what you want. Because there can be a 1000 reasons why a car suddenly stopps, from technincal to human factors, from wildlife to being stupid - in all cases its the fault of the one driving into the vehicle in front - unless they just overtake and then slam the breaks, but that's difficult to prove without dashcams and isn't that common. And being "zoned out", especially when driving a truck, is a big, big, BIG nono - Next thing you know and he's swerving into oncomming traffic.
It seriously depends on the situation indeed. You can't just come to a sudden stop in the middle of the road without using any indicators. In that case it could be seen as a break check because there's no way for a truck to stop on such a short distance. Dashcams are an absolute must. From what I could see, the white van just suddenly slammed it's brakes inorder to take the exit on the left while crossing a "double white line"? Or was it a single white line? It's hard too tell... I don't think what he/she tried to do is allowed on that particular strip of road.
It is the fault of the truck behind, but that doesn't matter when you're in that car. You can take steps to prevent this from happening yourself. 1. Tap the brakes slightly and early in advance. Your brake lights will come on, and this is an indicator to the car behind you that you are about to brake. Don't let your foot off the brake until you are making the turn. 2. DO NOT, absolutely NEVER, turn the steering wheel UNTIL the lane is you are crossing is CLEAR. If, for whatever reason, someone does crash into your rear, you will not be launched into the opposite lane but instead forward.
thank you for showing these off, it proves that sometimes you're nothing more than a bystander in these kinds of things, and why safety is everybodies first priority on the road.
no the blyat scream was from the red truck. red truck didn’t screw up at all. white truck opted for head on collision instead of fender bender like lizard said

Running theme here and moral of the story: STOP BEING IN SUCH A RUSH TO ARRIVE ANYWHERE. Patience is key. Impatience and wanting to shave off a few minutes of your drive can make YOU and others end up in the ICU or in a coffin.
It's pretty bad nowadays. I had a guy cut through traffic, cut off atleast 6 people and almost caused a three car pile just arive sit in his car and watch tiktok then go grocery shopping. We both went the cart section and he said "you go ahead, I'm not in a rush 🤨🤔

This video just proves how important it is to be patient when driving. Almost all of these could have been avoided had people just waited. And seriously, if you are driving on a single lane road, think three times before trying to pass someone. Always maintain a safe distance from the car in front of you, always wear a seatbelt, and it’s always better to miss a turn and be late than to turn at the last minute and end up in a driver’s ed video.
Yep. The fact you can accurately 1:1 recreate crashes in it is quite something... in a better world, automakers would use this as a way to improve safety and driving schools would use this to help show people the dangers of driving recklessly, but we're not in that world.
Fantastic visualization. Having survival stats is also extremely helpful in illustrating just how dangerous driving is. These simulations should be shown to all drivers, new and old, to emphasize how patience and carte can save lives while piloting motor vehicles!
The simulation isn't very accurate for that one. If you watch the actual footage, the red car hits it at a much less steep angle than the BeamNG version.
As I watched these and realized they were real events, I pondered to myself, "how can I avoid dying like this?" I came to the conclusion that not being stupid, really helps.
4:06 this shows why it's so INCREDIBLY important that you DO NOT start your turn until you're clear. If the car was straight, it would have not been pushed into the blue truck, and perhaps it would not have given the impression to the truck behind it that he was already turning and he would be out of his way.
They were making an illegal wrong-way turn into an exit. Notice how in the camera footage there's a no right turn sign, and two similarly shaped signs facing the other direction in the distance. You can bet if there are no right turns allowed, there are probably no left turns. Also there's only one dedicated lane connected taking a right outgoing turn, with no matching incoming on either side.
@CAustin582 it's insane that it's even possible to make that turn then. I'm not surprised that the driver thought he could make a turn there, because it's not clear enough that it's not allowed
There's also the double white lines. They didn't even bother with a single, they made it pretty obvious you not suppose to cross it. At least for rural areas it was pretty clear imo
@@IntEagleOvefovex turns out it wasn't clear enough, as we see. Even in rural areas in the Netherlands, there will be a median to make sure it is physically impossible to make the turn unless you go over the actual median. This road is designed poorly

This is the perfect video to teach drivers and possibly other people, to be patient.
This is an important lesson in why you should always drive safely
Its honestly scary how accurately recreated these are
5:58 this is why you dont overtake someone when u cant see
Is it legal in america to overtake the way he tried? He made a good example of why it's illegal here in Germany.
@@luzifer9976
It was literally the worst dang decision I might've ever seen.
He was straight up trying to pass from right to left in a spot disappearing so quickly he decided it was worth his damn life.
Just sucked he also gambled the life of the person sitting with him that saw the end speeding toward them at 80+ mph
@@luzifer9976As far as I know, at least up in my state, it’s not illegal to overtake on the right. But it’s plain stupid to not have a bit of patience, get behind the car in the left, and then progress when it’s clear. A lot of people sit in the left lane here which is why overtaking in the right happens. It’s just exercising patience and common sense that’s the problem.
@@luzifer9976 That is VERY much not legal here, you can't just bob and weave recklessly.
Nice your BeamNg drive you Volvo Xc 40 Volvo xc 60

This video should be shown as a safety precaution to all schools
It makes me feel so sad that people actually died in these scenarios
This can help people to better understand how situations like this can be avoided. It’s not disrespectful. It’s a matter of consequence to neglectful behavior. We need to shock people back into reality. And if seeing stuff like this is what they need to understand that rules on the road exist for a reason, then so be it.
what i find scary is knowing that we just watched some of these peoples last moments alive

7:18 that’s a nice Easter egg
thank you for showing these off, it proves that sometimes you're nothing more than a bystander in these kinds of things, and why safety is everybodies first priority on the road.
7:36 that blyat scream, he knew he's screwed big time
is it bad that I snickered a little bit?
I don't know what that semi driver was thinking. He apparently thought a head on collision with another semi was better than a fender bender.
no the blyat scream was from the red truck. red truck didn’t screw up at all. white truck opted for head on collision instead of fender bender like lizard said
@@rot420 the original commenter said that "he knew he's screwed big time".
another way to phrase this is by saying he was screwed over big time. do you get it?
@@jackdaturtle4696 idk if that’s what they meant but from the way they said it it most likely means he’s screwed big time because he did something he shouldn’t have even though he didn’t do something he shouldn’t have and he also wouldn’t be screwed big time cause it’s obvious who’s fault it is

Ờ đúng rồi bạn
This video just proves how important it is to be patient when driving. Almost all of these could have been avoided had people just waited. And seriously, if you are driving on a single lane road, think three times before trying to pass someone. Always maintain a safe distance from the car in front of you, always wear a seatbelt, and it’s always better to miss a turn and be late than to turn at the last minute and end up in a driver’s ed video.
I think the actual purpose of this video is to show just how amazingly accurate BeamNG crash dynamics actually are.
Yep. The fact you can accurately 1:1 recreate crashes in it is quite something... in a better world, automakers would use this as a way to improve safety and driving schools would use this to help show people the dangers of driving recklessly, but we're not in that world.

The simulation isn't very accurate for that one. If you watch the actual footage, the red car hits it at a much less steep angle than the BeamNG version.
Yeah I think thats because the car in the middle acted as a lot of additional crumple zone when it got crushed.

@@abnormaalz oh I thought this road was in the US, here the white lines literally means you can't cross unless they are dashed. Let alone double line.
