Gintoki vs Takasugi was awesome, I think the fight itself was great, but what made it such an incredible episode was the brilliantly written dialogue, the gut-wrenching reveals, and most importantly how both of this characters react to the past in conflicting ways. I actually just rewatched this episode 3 days ago too. Man I love Gintama so much.
Seriously. Its the near perfect adaptation that berserk or vagabond never got. Id complain about the art and cgi, even though its not even bad, but with a story like that it could be drawn on wet napkins and i wouldnt care.

Many animes have performed incredibly well in their respective genres but i have never seen anime like Gintama who have conquered many genres like it has comedy,action, emotions,suspense,good story,good characters ,good conclusion to every arc. Definitely in my top 3
If so i recommend you jojo, im not talking its best anime, but second best(+-) i know(around 50 titles including naruto, homeless god, assault class(or how that called on English) ect ). Anime also have familiar idea, every new part(ussualy season) tells in another art style, story, genre ect.

As an OPM fan, it makes me happy that one of it's episode has such a good amount of rating. But I m also sad at the same time, it is becoz there is very less chance of any other episode of OPM getting this much amount of rating. Madhouse has already left making the anime and also they had lost tonnes of good animators. So I don't expect to see more good episodes of OPM except the season one. The season one would be remained as a memory for many OPM fans. :(

You know an anime is good when the highest rated episode is DEEP into its total running or Season 3 or Season 14. It didn't fall off. Lot of Monogatari episodes high on the list. Surprised Gintama was #1, glad to see it get the love it deserves. It was absolutely the most hype episode in the show. That fight was a long time coming and a build up of so many subplots through the seasons.

@@zdd6175 It deserves the hype more than S1 imo, S2 is not just better but the work will also be harder to do the second season's animation plus they'd also need suitable VAs for guys like Snake, Ketil, Einar etc and we even get to see farming which is pretty goated if you ask me (jk😂)so overall the second season should be more valued than the first season the hype might not be as big as the first season but the ratings will definitely surpass that of Anime like JJK, Chainsaw Man etc

Even though berserk is one of my favorite manga, i like vagabond more. Berserk was even my second manga and i read it way before vagabond. A lot of people would say berserk is better though, because of its awesome fights and violence, which is cool dont get me wrong, but surface level and mindless (i understand there is still massive internal stuggle, but its expressed externally). While as vagabond also has great fights, from what ive seen of it is it's more internal struggle rather than external. Vinland saga goes from full berserk to vagabond really quick, and i dont think people would get that thats the point of the series. I feel like most people would get put off that thorfinn becomes who he is rather than still be who he was. Thats just me though, ill be watching and enjoying the hell out of it either way

Even though D.Gray-Man is an underrated anime, thankfully it reaches top 122. This anime is released in 2006 but it still has one of the best story, concept, plot , openings, backstory, and character development compared to newer animes. If this anime was released this moment where technology in animation was really advance, it will be so good. But even though it is as an old anime, the animation is still pretty decent. I really recommend it if you wanted to try other older anime.
I really think Code geass should be #1 due to how much everything was building to that finale. Also I will never get over how much great moments is under demon slayer.
I mean you're right, that episode just a perfect bittersweet ending I could wish for, but Gintama builded up that episode for a much longer time and the payoff was just as unforgottable as the Code Geass ending (if not more, because of the length).
For me is Code Geass Season 2 Episode 25 Re or the ending of Code Geass the best anime episode of all time. Not a single anime episode took me on a ride like that truly a masterpiece the episode and with that the ending 10/10

Euphonium (Both season finales have a 9/10) The Tatami Galaxy (Episode 11 has a 9.5/10) SEL (Episode 13 has an 8.4/10) Kaiji (It has like 2 or 3 9/10) Welcome to the NHK (Episode 23 has a 9.4/10) Planetes (8.6 in episode 11) Versailles no Bara (it has two or three 8.8/10) Chihayafuru (It has 3 9.9/10 in season 3) Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai (it has an 8.5 on its last episode) Houseki no Kuni (It has 2 9.3/10) Love Live (It has an episode with an 8.8) Love Live Sunshine (8.9) Hanasaku Iroha (Last episode has a 8.9) Kids on the slope (8.7) GTO (8.6) And I mean, those were just some shows from my list of favorites that I noticed weren't here, there's probably many more. IDK if there was any kind of criteria or whatever to exclude, but just wanted to point it out

Fewer viewers mean if you rate them a 10 then the total rating would increase drastically, It doesn't mean the show is bad at all but it must have a big fanbase to be actually called high rated.

You know an anime is good when the highest rated episode is DEEP into its total running or Season 3 or Season 14. It didn't fall off. Lot of Monogatari episodes high on the list.
Surprised Gintama was #1, glad to see it get the love it deserves. It was absolutely the most hype episode in the show. That fight was a long time coming and a build up of so many subplots through the seasons.
Cant wait to see Chainsaw man break some records.

@@zdd6175 It deserves the hype more than S1 imo, S2 is not just better but the work will also be harder to do the second season's animation plus they'd also need suitable VAs for guys like Snake, Ketil, Einar etc and we even get to see farming which is pretty goated if you ask me (jk😂)so overall the second season should be more valued than the first season the hype might not be as big as the first season but the ratings will definitely surpass that of Anime like JJK, Chainsaw Man etc
@@aaryasharma4940 i agree that it's leagues better, i just have a feeling most people wouldnt think so. Its like berserk vs vagabond. Even though berserk is one of my favorite manga, i like vagabond more. Berserk was even my second manga and i read it way before vagabond. A lot of people would say berserk is better though, because of its awesome fights and violence, which is cool dont get me wrong, but surface level and mindless (i understand there is still massive internal stuggle, but its expressed externally). While as vagabond also has great fights, from what ive seen of it is it's more internal struggle rather than external. Vinland saga goes from full berserk to vagabond really quick, and i dont think people would get that thats the point of the series. I feel like most people would get put off that thorfinn becomes who he is rather than still be who he was. Thats just me though, ill be watching and enjoying the hell out of it either way

Was it really 10/10 before this video? I don't see a huge difference in number of ratings since I'm pretty active on imdb. Also I've never seen a 10/10 rated anime episode after like a couple days of it's release.

Well any episode of any anime in top with 10 rated star gets down.except breaking bad no episode of anime has ever been able to maintain 10 out of 10 rating.aot had 2 10 rated episodes but then it got turned 9.9 .even for giants a it happended

damn I was getting so excited every time an anime I like popped in the top 50, also this made me add some other animes to my watchlist
Even though D.Gray-Man is an underrated anime, thankfully it reaches top 122. This anime is released in 2006 but it still has one of the best story, concept, plot , openings, backstory, and character development compared to newer animes. If this anime was released this moment where technology in animation was really advance, it will be so good. But even though it is as an old anime, the animation is still pretty decent. I really recommend it if you wanted to try other older anime.
I really think Code geass should be #1 due to how much everything was building to that finale. Also I will never get over how much great moments is under demon slayer.
I mean you're right, that episode just a perfect bittersweet ending I could wish for, but Gintama builded up that episode for a much longer time and the payoff was just as unforgottable as the Code Geass ending (if not more, because of the length).

k that's cool but all of them are seriously underrated to be considered a top-tier episode, I'll explain what I mean. Fewer viewers mean if you rate them a 10 then the total rating would increase drastically, It doesn't mean the show is bad at all but it must have a big fanbase to be actually called high rated.

And, for example, sakurasou no pet na kanojo has been rated by 80 people on IMDB, while Ashita no Joe has been rated by 71, so there's barely any difference

Believe me when I say it, even we want to watch One Piece, Ginmata and other animes. But u know these shows go over 100 eps and completing a series that long ain't easy. And we ain't talking abt beasts here who watch god knows 50 eps a day. I'm talking abt normal ppl who watch 0, 1 or 2 eps a day cause they've got work to do

So if you only "have time for 1-2 eps a day" which is 20-40 mins thats on you for either having bad time management or you prefering to use your free time on other stuff.

re zero Season 1 episode 15 , HAS TO BE THE GREATEST ANIME EPISODE EVER! it deserves to atleast he in this list . that episode was just too depressing to watch. A MASTERPIECE!
People hated it because of the trauma they gained. Many watched the show thinking a harem fantasy with little violence. But no doubt best episode. It also has over 2000 comments in episode discussion which is the most in any episode discussion forum in mal proving how amazing the episode was.
Thus some gave low rating and those who were not able to handle it dropped the anime.
Can we appreciate Haikyuu!! surpassing many legendary animes and making way 4th. Just Wow💗
