I'm pretty sure that's X. He has a streak like when Zero Dashes, and X can dash. Also that blast could easily be zero's saber from megaman x3.
Megaman X has a red crystal chip in his helmet. Classic Megaman (Rock) only had the blues. So this is indeed a pic of the original.
If a mega man was made this year they could use music like this in the game

if the original Mega Man were to be released now it would come out to somewhere in the neighbour hood of $70 in total. $50 for the first six robot masters, $10 fot the 1st DLC the Wily castle, $5ea for the 2nd and 3rd DLC, Oil man and Time, respectively

We need an official revival of Megaman now that Keiji Inafune blew his chance with the dumpster-abortion that was Mighty No. 9.
Crapcom will never use this badass design/style for Classic Megaman, but I can dream.
Plus, new entries in X could use/abuse his Command Mission art style.
Legends 3 could be revived.
ZX could get more titles, as could Star Force.
We might even see a darker/grittier/more mature Maverick Hunter storyline and maybe even a Maverick vs. Hunters style MMO or story-driven versus shooter.
