I'd never even heard of this game before now... having said that, I haven't been a gamer for quite a while. It was interesting to see what a machine like this has 'under the hood' - my condolences on not getting a decent game out of it, but at least you got some cool content for your channel. Thank you for filming the video! :)
You're welcome! Thank you I think Konami planned to release it outside of Japan, but it never materialized. I'm guessing it's because you had this game full of Latin music that never reached Latin America, or even then US or Europe haha! So perhaps it wasn't too successful in the end
@@s34nvideos It's sad that arcade gaming is on the wane in this country, replaced by machines that turn a profit... I watched your arcade tour in Wales yesterday, and it was heartbreaking to see that the entire place was literally wall-to-wall coin-pushers and fruit machines - and that the graveyard was stacked with games like 'Daytona', that lie in disrepair because it's not profitable to fix them and have them running. I know I sound like an old gimmer, but it's a shame that today's kids will never know the joy of 'true' arcades - at the same time, I'm grateful that I had the opportunity.
The game originally came with buttons, that's how it should be and from what I've heard it works quite well and is certainly easier to replace than piezo pads etc., drum pads usually come off quite easily, and it is a 573 game! But what on earth is happening inside this one, a true nightmare of an operator job
Ok the condition of the mambos is scary 😱 😆 but yeah obscure is the best way to describe this game. I don’t know if Konami intended this to be a long running series or a strange one off. Having played this a couple of times more than 20 years ago, it’s an ok game with no lasting power.
The condition is absolutely terrible! It's so sad to see it like this That's the impression I got too! The song list is super small and it doesn't look too hard to master! It was fun trying to play it though! haha
Dang sick find! Always curious how these rare machines end up in the most random places
Thank you! Working or not, this arcade had some gems!!

Absolutely terrible! It's not even the worst cabinet in this arcade either 😬
We used to have one in Brazil back in 2003. 😅
Niiice!! Was it very popular out there?? I'm guessing it was imported!?
It was not very popular, but it came with two other percussion games, samba de amigo and one with a tambourine.
uuuuuuuuu Mambo!
Mambo Agogo Play Main 2001
Poor poor machine. Great to see it though.
Same!!
