Honestly, even though Oogie Boogie didn't have much screen time, he is one of my favorite villains in animation

Upon hearing about Sally's ACTUAL origins, (no spoilers here!) I both felt sorry for Sally and disdain for Dr. Finklestein for kidnapping, brainwashing and lying to her.
Sally is EASILY my favorite character within this given media presentation; no other comes even close! 🙂

The Wolfman must have been a little taller, as he may look fierce, but he had a heart of gold, he was friendly with the other inhabitants and helped everyone, and not to mention that at the end he howled sadly after the accident of the Jack
Just because someone’s charming and funny doesn’t mean they can’t be taken seriously. Oogie Boogie is that truth embodied.

There’s now a comic where it shows that Jack and Oogie were once friends, until the thought of being the king of Halloween went to Oogie’s head and he became obsessed with it and mean towards his friend Jack. That is also why Jack is the king of Halloween instead of Oogie.

It’s very nice. I feel the Mayor should’ve been between Sally and Jack because he is loyal, had doubts about Jack’s plans for Christmas, and he tried to talk Jack into not trusting Shock, Lock, and Barrel.

As much entertainment I get from Oogie Boogie, why is he a villian? Why didn't Jack want him knowing about the Halloween-christmas arrangement? What did Oogie do to be despised by the inhabitants of HalloweenTown?
The Residents of Halloween Town spook you without any malicious intentions. Oogie will downright do any form of horror movie thing he can think of to scare your SOUL out of you. He’s the type of guy who’d use booby traps or weapons to scare you and then kill you. The residents ESPECIALLY Jack don’t applaud murder. Just friendly spooks and mischiefs that don’t cause injury or death
To put it simply his actions in the movie give a few hints as to what he did to get rejected, there is a difference between being a bit spooky and wilfully harming others.
