Water Pressure Regulator Valve O-Ring FOOD GRADE Lubricant with PEX Press Sleeve Connections

We install the Cash Acme EB45-DPE water pressure reducing valve with PEX connections and use Super Lube O Ring lubricant which is a food grade silicone lubricant. This type of lubricant was chosen due to this valve install in the potable water delivery system.

My 5 year old PRV went bad and I had to replace it. I hired a plumber to replace the first one, but also had him swap out the end piece to union so that next time I can just buy a valve at the box store and plug and play. The hard water eats the brass so these things are disposable around here.

That is an excellent idea on going to union fittings. I'm going to start going in that direction too!
