No sir you didn't get cheated. I also purchased gen 1 10 mm just like you have, and it came exactly like that and I bought mine brand new. One of the things you fail to mention which I think Springfield made a mistake. In generation 1 you had the uncaptured recoil spring, which allows you to make changes in your recoil. The generation 2 which is known as the elite has a captured recoil spring.
Bought the Elite version of this. I've been on a 10mm craze, so I've purchased several 10mm pistols and this and my FN 510 are exceptional consideting the Springfield is half the price. The slidestop and mag release are ambidextrous with a slightly bigger mag release button. Springfield also gave it a very nice 90° degree trigger. I can't even say my Glock 20 Gen 5 handles as well. One of my carry pieces, especially during cooler months when it's more easily concealed.
I have the XDM Elite 10mm 3.8" barrel. I absolutely love it..the sights on Springfields are my favorite I pick them up so well. I carry this when I'm in the woods or when I'm going somewhere that I want something more potent than 9mm
I watched this again, as I enjoyed it so much. I really think the XD trigger is so underrated. Like you said the initial take up is very smooth, then firm wall, and nice crisp break. Yes, the reset feels a little long, especially when slowly dry firing at home. At the range though the reset is strong, audible, and tactile. After muzzle rise, it springs your finger to the wall by the time your back on target. I can shoot my XD just as fast as my Glocks, and Caniks. Another thing about the XD trigger is how nice it feels on the finger, as its one of the only plastic strikers that comes stock with a metal trigger.
Well said. And I completely agree with you regarding the trigger shoe. It is one of the most comfortable that I have tried. Thank you very much for stopping by.
Well built, but the XDMs all feel like the bore axis is too high. Though, not as bad as some Sigs. I guess I’m ruined by CZs. Did it feel too heavy at all compared to others?
I had a 10mm XDM Elite, but ended up selling it. I have 3 other 10mm guns, and found this to be my least favorite. The grip was slick in sweaty or cold hands, and I never liked the grip safety.
@@MDpoloI like my Glock 40 for the woods, and my SIG P320 X10 for the hoods🤟 Also have the FN 510, which is good for both environments, especially with the 22 round mag😋

Nice review! These really are well built pistols. Great prices, too. 👍👍
They are going for some pretty ridiculously low prices. Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to stop by.

This is my woods carry. Solid weapon. Built to last. Accurate
I have this gun in the elite 10mm. It is my favorite.
I have this in the 3.8" elite version in both 9mm & 10mm along with multiple other xdm's, xds's, and hellcat. I like my Springfields.
I used to own the 45acp Elite version. I have yet to own a 10mm striker fired firearm. Nice review! 👍🏻
I love the 10 mm round. Such an accurate caliber. As always, thank you very much for stopping by and happy new year!

I find the S&B 10mm to be the best range ammunition. So many manufacturers make it underpowered, it’s irritating.
Best wishes for the new year!

The weight did not bother me. Actually I felt that it complements pretty well the 10 mm round. Thank you very much for stopping by

I agree. Which is your favorite 10 mm?
