Perhaps some of the finest guitar playing I have ever seen . Such variety of tone colours , range of dynamics with exquisite phrasing.
Mesmerising performance . A gift from this great master to aspiring guitarists by demonstrating what can actually be achieved with a relatively simple guitar study.

In jazz you have titans like Lenny Breau and Django Reinhardt, and my favourite, Ted Greene. In country/blues you have David Lindley and now David Levi. And in flamenco you have of course Paco, Vicente Amigo and many others.

A stunningly beautiful and nuanced performance. For Yamashita, playing is a whole-body experience. His movement mirrors the dynamic range and spirit with which he executes the music. It boggles my mind that some have a hard time with that, and want to find fault in it. I think they must be so daunted by his confident and consistent artistry that they can't help but find something to degrade in it. He's a great artist and we are so lucky to have him. Thanks for sharing this video here, Aynur. Warm wishes from Michigan!

When he moves the guitar in and away from the center, gravity of his body, he’s actually using the airspace between the back of the guitar and his stomach to change, ever so subtly, the EQ of the music. I have never seen any guitarist swaying like that while playing. It would be hilarious if he fell off the chair. 😂😂

He is a fine player unfortunately all it's body movements make the music wavering and unbalanced ..taste yourself with close eyes and you will understand what I meant ...people will enjoy but I am sure Segovia or Bream would focus more in the continuity of sonority .and therefore rounded expression ..

Grotesque. If the fish is fresh you only need good quality soy sauce (not easy to find) but not ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, pepper, chilli ... my personal opinion.

Besides incredibly annoying physical mannerisms/eccentricities, he is playing a song that beginning guitarists play. Maestro? Try listening to Manuel Barrueco and John Williams.
