As a kid, I had no idea how to beat Fyrus, so I did exactly what they said you SHOULDN’T do. It does indeed take forever and the game does eventually make him fall over.

I never thought that someone would commit to a TAS for such a long game, especially this category. Now we are waiting for the low% TAS. 😂
low% is probably possible, since in many cases you only have to set up the initial conditions correctly and then you can frameskip until X hours later.
console verifying a low% TAS would be a nightmare though

Probably the easiest TAS, but most tedious. Imagine finishing that TAS just to find out a human found a way to get 1 less item

I don't know how to explain it but something about TASs make me really happy. It's true dedication to the medium in a way that really isn't possible in anything but video games. It's the ultimate declaration of respect and love for a game. To love something is to take it apart and dedicate yourself to all its pieces
That's not true, I once TASd all of the Marvel movies showing a possible watch time of just under 43 minutes

I must say something about killing the Goron Mines boss with arrows.
I am that guy. When I was a child, I never realized that you could make him fall by grabbing the chain with the Iron Boots. I just kept shooting his forehead until he fell.
And yes, this is very slow.

I don't say that's it. It was more of a revenge thing. Hyrule kingdom sentenced him to death after discovering his real plans. He managed to survive thanks to the power of the triforce, that he was gifted "by some divine prank", and he used it to do what he was supposed to do in ocarina of time, except he did it while hiding behind the scenes, letting Zant do the dirty job and coming out only when his minion was dead. I honestly think Ganondorf's story in TP is much better than OoT or even BOTW and TOTK.

I nearly clicked off because I didn't think it was commentated until I read the description. This is just my suggestion, but would you consider adding something to the title to indicate it's commentated? Thanks for doing these.
2:25:47 - Wait, really? I remember I used to do a very similar glitch all the time to get infinite bombs and arrows, and a key part of that is reaching that load zone as wolf so you end up in Iza 2 as wolf and can warp out to keep the infinite bomb arrows it gives you. Is the strength of the water current different during the Iza 1 state or something?

hearing all these practiced players melt over the speed and efficiency in the cave of ordeals was definitely my favorite part of the commentary. really any time they expressed awe and jealousy towards enemy avoidance rng, good stuff.
It's so hilarious how many times something completely insane happens and everyone reacts to it but TheTasMaster just says "I have no idea how that happened" XD
Since you're using modern Dolphin versions now, there's fixes to bad upscaled bloom issues in many games now! (namely in the form of graphics mods which don't modify the game directly.
It's especially noticeable in areas like 3:40:15 , where everything looks like it's duplicated.

I don't really like that cave of ordeals full completion and saving Giovanni isn't required for standard 100%. Feels incomplete to me somehow. TAS itself is incredible tho. A great joy to watch!

Not gonna lie, the colors on Link are a lot more desaturated than I remember.
I'd like to see what happens when you take a tas like this and let it desync near the start of the run. What will happen after?
Basically all the same inputs will be played back as expected, but nothing will make sense on screen, since the entire run will be desynced, so you will see things like random movements, running against a wall for minutes, getting stuck in a text box, reset at random moments, maybe a game crash if really unlucky, that kind of stuff.

why did this only take 1 1/2ish years to make when Ekkes all dungeons took 4 years?
People have different day jobs and different amounts of time to devote to these, also some TASes spend more time finding and researching strategies and redoing sections than others
And some same or different routes
The first half of my TAS took about 3 and a half years to make, mostly due to me taking a lot of breaks. I finished the 2nd half in about 6 months.

Awesome TAS. I think the commentary gets a bit ahead of itself at times. Sometimes it's better to show, don't tell and then explain afterward. Loved everything else
