I have always been impressed by how such an advanced and smart machine just keeps throwing the opponent all over the place knowing it will do no harm to them
Connor was converted into a machine, and clearly at first after getting blown away by pop's in the garage he had no idea he was a full blown machine. He was evolving by the second, as the t5000 would say.
oh ok
its called poor script writing, a smart machine would avoid damage as it knows damage means inefficient fighting
What’s his other choice
They won't feel pain..but getting hit causes damage to internal or electronic system..
Magnetic field decreases with the square of distance. It should get easier as he walks farther away.
For point source only.
Who cares about that in a movie about time travelling killer robots from the future
These magnets power are determined by how hard this movie is to watch.
He is actually proportionally increasing the power of the magnetic field behind the scenes
That is why you are not a director
In reality the emergency button of an MRI actually destroys it, you can't restart it afterwards. It blows up the liquid helium circuit to enable magnet shut down.
A very expensive button.
It sucks when they go against reality for a movie scene don't it. It's been Ruined
Plus ypu don't have an epic power slider, and if it were it has a really safe limit
Wait, a literal self-destruct button? Huh, cool,
It's set in another universe that has terminators that defy engineering and science, as well as time travel. Don't worry about the MRI machine's red button, that's minor.
T-3000 fighting skills: close combat
T-800: push, smash and punch
Hasn’t stopped hulks way of fighting aha
The T-3000 could have been the best terminator ever. Its basically a perfected version on the Terminator from T salvation. But it has John Connors know how, fighting skills, and knowledge of how to defeat the T-800, T-1000, and T-2000 (assuming they could reprogram either of the last two) but it was all wasted on a mediocre story that they ended up retconning in the very next movie.
@@fishfossils8858 t-3000 is fake matrix i love 90s style normal cyborg like t-800

@@fishfossils8858 yes
imagine the damage John could’ve inflicted on Skynet if he still chose to be leader of the resistance when he was converted into the T-3000!
Honestly... That would've been a great twist.
@@N-GinAndTonicTM John goes to the machines, agrees to help them and turn on the resistance, gives up some allies even to prove he's on the level. Asks to become one of the machines, and they turn him into the ultimate killing machine, and aid him as he goes on the attack through several resistance strongholds with secret locations he revealed. The betrayal shocks all the main characters and is a huge twist through the movie, until right at the very end, when all hope is lost about the good guys are about to get smooshed by the villains.. John suddenly reveals his plan all along! He was a double agent, he tricked the machines. He turns on them, using his new powerful body to attack the heart of the Skynet mainframe, infecting them from within, destroying them and himself in the process, revealing his final destiny, why he, John Connor, was so important all along, that he was the one destined to destroy Skynet with his ultimate sacrifice.
Or at least, that's what I would have done for a sequel. But meh, what do I know, I'm just a random person..
SomeRandomIdiot
This is it chief
I bet this is where the trilogy was going to end up if happened. Jason Clarke has said the second movie was going to explore John's story after Skynet converted him, which sets up a situation ripe for a redemption at the very least. Or at least I don't know how they would have made a movie solely about him setting up the Genisys Program and nothing more, there's really nothing there to build a script on.
I'm pretty sure the t3000 controls him
Schwarzenegger was 68 years old then. In dark fate he was 72 and in both movies he looks and fights great. This man is amazing
There was more than 4 years between Genisys and Dark Fate. I think he was younger than 68 in Genisys.
Pretty sure he had a stunt double 😏🤣
Most of it was a cgi double.
@@doomarang3208 Any proof? Interview, making off video, anything?
stunt doubles and cgi are amazing you mean
It's a pity they spoiled the major plot twist in the trailer. Otherwise the surprise would have been worth it.
Yeah... even the director was pissed! 😡
So dos`nt anyone think it might have anything to do with studio interference?
I liked how they spoiled it. Saved me some money.
I never knew about this when I went to see it in the theater back in 2015, when it was revealed that John became a terminator, it was the moment that ruined the film for me.
Not just the trailer, but the poster as well. Hopefully the new terminator does well, they even brought back Linda Hamilton and James Cameron.
The thumbnail looks like when you get roasted so hard you cease to exist.

Mr Connor I don't feel so good
Honestly, the people who made the machine sounds and combat in the movie are really really good

Making the savior a Terminator! What a mess up! And giving that big surprise away in the trailer.
Statement: Foolish given that he can't kill his own father without killing himself. I doubt the meatbags even mated yet.
apparently this isn't even wholly original. Back when terminator salvation came out, they made a comic series about it, wherein john connor and skynet reached a truce, and peace reigned, how'd it come about? Connor became a terminator.
tvmoviefan what a mess* up on your grammar.
woops
i mean its not a bad plot twist in my opinion, why kill your biggest enemy when you can use them
You just cant turn an MRI off and on again that way....
This was a new state of the art one..
c'mon michael, its a hollywood movie after all ...
I do it all the time with my special home edition MRI.
Only the MRI-3000 can do this, unfortunately they blew the only existing prototype for this movie.
MRI magnet will be always on, even if the machine is off. The electromagnet part ll be always on once after the MRI is installed.
I really like the sense of strength between these two machines are fighting.

I do love the detail that when John walks forward the nanites ripping away from him are doing so in "Evolution" structure like that old photo of a human evolving from apes.
They probably wanted it to appear as if the nanites are spread along the magnetic field lines. Like everything else about this scene, they got it wrong.
Terminator vs terminator fights are always dope.
Exept Arnold lost this one. In terms of raw power at least.
1:35 was that to signify that hes old now?
Yes. Pops was sent back to when Sarah was a child to act as a guardian. Plus, while they have fuel cells that can last around 100-200 years, Skynet never intended for them to be in the field for that long without maintenance, which would further explain his physicality here.
In addition to his age, he's seen a lot of wear and tear since he was sent back in time. Apparently he's had shootouts with the police, plus the T1000 chased him and Sarah for 11 years, and there's no telling how many fights they had with each other during that time.
Old. Not obsolete.

The T-1000 was the meta. You can't come up with a more powerful and menacing design.
I thought the T-3000 came close. But it was brought down by poor writing/story implementation and acting direction and presentation.
@@CritStanley I kinda agree, The T-3000 is at the very least, slightly more powerful than the T-1000.
For one it's input of human psychology may easily make it more convincing than the T-1000 which oftentimes has this air of 'something's a bit off'.
It's nanomachine composition easily enables a lot of moves, such as shredding organic matter down to bone, and accelerating it's machine-phase matter through opponents, damaging them from the inside.
Had the T-3000 (and the story as a whole) been written and acted better, It could very well have been the T-1000 of the 2010s.

Rewatching this, I gave it more praise when I first saw it. They make too many points of The Terminator “Pops” being old. Problem with that is in Terminator 2, the T-800 said he lasts 120 years with his power cell
That is just his power cell though, not his metal chassis. And not to mention, he took some damage during his fight with the T1 T800. You can even hear the pistons in his wrist twist when T1 800 grabs it, hence the jittery fingers shortly afterwards.

You can't turn off the magnet in a MRI machine. The current circulates eternally in a superconductor. There is no electrical switch there. It is sealed deep inside and immersed in liquid helium. And if you DID find a way to stop the current, it would release all its energy, which would then make the whole thing explode. Also, if you got that far away from a MRI machine, its magnetic field would be quite weak, as the field strength decreases with the inverse cube of the distance for dipole force fields.
Never heard such bullshit :D
Disregard my previous reply, but after reading up I'd like to point out that there is actually a way to switch / power the coil - there's a small section of the coil that has a heater wound around it, and the DC power leads go in on either end of this section. During powerup the heater turns on and the section of coil ceases to superconduct. The overall coil becomes a C shape connected in series to the DC power supply, which starts supplying current. Once stable current is established the heater is turned off and now the entire coil superconducts, and the DC power is turned off.
I bet this movie's pretty entertaining but it's a lot different than the first two movies.
people can have their issues with how dissimilar it is but if you forgot it was a terminator movie, it's probably satisfying in it's own way.
