- DeLuna is a large neighborhood just across the Water Lilly Bridge. Jerry and Linda had not toured it yet, but in today's video The Newcomers take you all around this nice village. See the sights, hear the jokes, and criticize Jerry's driving in this lengthy video!

This was my favorite on the road video yet! My best friend of 50 years moved to DeLuna a little over a year ago and I've visited her numerous times over 2023. It felt like being home as you cruised past her house. We'll be buying a winter home in TV within the next year or so and can't wait to start spending the harsh New England winters down in beautiful Florida!

My husband & I stayed in DeLuna last month (April 2024)….the house was beautiful and everyone was so nice & friendly. We even got invited to a driveway party by 2 incredibly sweet ladies we met at the pool….it was so fun & the highlight of our trip! Love love love The Villages….our next trip will be a Lifestyle visit! Thank you for all the great info…..love your videos!

First… a great video with the music and voice over.
We close in DeLuna on Feb 28 on Rostas Way. What drew us here after visiting Orange Blossom Gove to the north to Lake Denham in the south was the scenery, 10 minutes by cart to shopping and 10 minutes to Brownwood. Walking Hogs Eye 2 1/2 mile trail and stopping at Ednas. The water Lilly rec center and pool are a two minute walk from our new home. The best part however is the people!

We moved here (to DeLuna) from north of Buffalo! We are technically snow-birds, as we come down in October through April, but we just couldn’t do winters up there any longer! We love it here!
Hey, Jerry, my wife and I live in the anti-social, ignore-stranded Linda, Village of Citrus Grove! LOL. We have an oversized Bridgeport home with a Three-Car garage! Jealous yet??? My wife and I love your videos. Been watching them before we ever moved here. And, still do to this day. You two wonderful people make'em and we'll watch them. NavAir, US Navy, Retired.

Jerry and Linda, we live in DeLuna and we just love it, the home styling, great neighbors and very close to 301 so we are able to go wherever we need to be. We are known as DELUNA TICS. It is absolutely wonderful for us.

That would be fun. I love that place. it is Quite a ways down there. very few people would take their cart from North of 44. (We wouldn't) But we will consider it. a nice place to eat lunch and meet everyone.
If we had known you were visiting DeLuna we'd have baked a cake! Thank you for showing the path from Brownwood to DeLuna. We now have the perfect video to show family and friends the route we take several times per week as we meander around Paradise.

Thanks for the shout out. As you know our last name is Steele and we give a snicker when we go by Steele Path. Steele Path is one of the nicest streets in DeLuna. The wide center grassy areas give it a park like feel.

I had to laugh because you pulled right in front of my house and turned around. What you didn't mention was in the open space under the high power lines, there was a trio of Sandhill cranes near the walking trail. They are always around and walk through the neighborhood. The high power lines bother some people, but here in DeLuna it gives us a huge open space with walking trails.
I saw those cranes! I did tell people that The Villages puts that area to good use with golf courses, walking trails, etc.
Was so glad to hear on Monday that David is back home and was still close to Christmas for celebrating! Thank him so much for his service!!!!! ❤❤❤

Haha, another great video. You two are too funny. Thanks for sharing this video about Deluna. I have been wondering about this neighborhood. Appreciate the views of the neighborhood. I love the Defibrillators. What a great thing to have in a neighborhood to use if you need it. My first husband died of a heart attack at 40. I was 29 and had to call 911 and I often wondered if we had not had to wait for the EMS if things might have been different.

If you haven’t been to Charleston S.C. You should go to see the beautiful live oaks. There is so much history to see there.
One of our sons was stationed there for 3 years in the Air Force. It is beautiful.

I would think Spanish Springs was great, because this is when I first started looking at the Villages in the 80's and 90's! The prices down there now are above my pay grade in retirement! We’ve done the GC ride all the way to the new high school now that the Bexley Trail bridge is open over the toll road. It is about a two hour ride from SS.

This video was beautiful and relaxing. Enjoy every day. I’m a new 65 year old and my husband of 45 years passed early in 2023. We always talked about moving to the Villages. We knew we could stay busy but it looks like an easy life. For me that ship has sailed. Kids and Grandkids too close for me to move but it looks wonderful. I’m in a huge house but we have mostly original owners or in some cases one of their kids bought their parents house. It’s a unique situation. It’s a bit overwhelming though. You are lucky to be able to enjoy this stage of life like you do. I’d sure love to go on a cruise with y’all. I’ve missed it both times. I found real fast solo travel is challenging.

The survival rate for cardiac arrest that happen outside the hospital setting is about 6%. The survival rate for cardiac arrests here in The Villages is 40%!!!

We call the Village of DeLuna and the Village of Marsh Bend part of the “Southern Triangle.” The southern triangle is the area south of Highway 44 flanked by Highway 301 on the west, Warm Springs Avenue on the South, and the Florida Turnpike running diagonally from northwest to southeast. One of the largest areas in the Villages including number of homes. Great place!! Ya’ll come down!! 🌞🌴🐊🇺🇸

Normally I have a low tolerance for golf car ride videos but you guys make it enjoyable. The narration was perfect especially with Lindas contagious laughter, I made it all the way through with about 2 breaks ( coffee refill and let the kitty out on the lanai), hopefully you guys will invest in some 360 degree cameras in the near future…Keep the videos coming!👍👍
