one of star rail's most redeeming factors is that there is many playstyles that is offered to the players, its up to you to work towards your preferred way of playing the game..

It May Sound weird, but I Hope we get a more dedicated Playstyle to Freeze
I thought Yanqing was going to be the freeze guy with his follow up attack
But nah, that thing is useless as hell
Combine Dot W freeze. Every enemy obtains the damage from DOTs , unable to act in their current turn and their next turn is pushed up by 50% to experience more lung cancer
We see this playstyle in SU, so they need to give us the character with such mechanic.
For that it should be a mono ice team.
Freeze has this fun interaction with Slow/Imprisonment where you can Freeze a mob, push them down the turn order, then keep applying Freeze semi-permanently as long as you build enough speed and effect hit rate. This works because Frozen enemies can't act on the same turn, and the debuff allows you to act before they can attack (at least for a little while).
I'd definitely pull for a character that can explore and utilize this kind of playstyle better than Welt and Gerpard.
I wouldn't be surprised if they made a Preservation or Abundance DoT based character. Like they make shields or heal based on DoT stacks or damage.

I’m guilty of this too much Kafka and blackswan are built and Acheron is just op even though my relics are bad
agreed! at this point I do believe the strongest all offence team is Kafka, Black Swan, Ruan Mei, Acheron. *Dead targets don't hit back* ^.^
Yeah I know Boothill is the 1v1 boss killer, but still don't think he beats out this comp, unless you are only fighting a single target.
This is probably correct as THE team. But for me i use DoT and Acheron as seperate teams and can brute force everything in the game lol

I'm a break enjoyer 100%. Xueyi was my main dps till I got some 5 stars and I really missed that style. Im actually hoping to e6s1 boothill since his character design is peak imo and I love break

firefly fully depends on break. she has super break that stacks with harmony trailblazer and also implements fire weakness on enemies every time she uses her skill.

If we get another kafka, even if they are a better character, it wouldn't even be powercreep for kafka.....since you would play them together
Imagine they added an enemy that was immune to all dot and debuffs until it was weakness broken
an enemy that can cleanse, like enemy bronya
Ive used the RRAT team alot now, but in this Galactic baseballer event I was shown a new team im really feeling, and that is Adventurine, Herta, Topaz and Himeko lol. I like maxed out/smashed everything in that event including the insane meme at the end.. It had me really considering to build my own Himeko and Herta to pair with my Adventurine and Topaz, like all relic'd out and with my choice of lightcones (the herta and himeko were trial characters) that team felt like it would be way more destructive than anything the RRAT has shown me so far lmao
This is an nice team but here are some problems with this team
First of all himeko and herta are not as strong as we saw in the event
Secondly this team is made out of 2 erudition characters which are best if we have 5 enemies on field, but if less this team kind of falls off
Great team for pure fiction or against bosses with spamming ads, but rrat is still gonna be better at bosses you need to focus down.
herta is awesome for real
aventurine's passive works a lot better with no any other imaginary character in the team, this ruined RRAT team comp for me cause my even was just standing and doing nothing while i enjoy his passive skill coping up far too much even in support build
I hope they expand more on my favorite playstyles, a sub playstyle skill point funneling
I've always played with QQ ever since. She now hits 160k+ with her basic attack

Im a DoT enjoyer, BUT ever since i got my hmc builded, i been running hmc+ruan mei+sushang+welt and having a BLAST. It's crazy how hmc just hits +90k super break dmg with some mid gear lol

Mono Quantum is just grape-flavored hypercarry. I still stan my little gambling gremlin.
Sliver wolf mono quantum, Kafka DOT, Blade burden/vengeance/berserker, and Firefly break. I think everyone of the hunters having different background and a different team comp is a good sign these comps will get continued support.

Started with DoT since I joined the game on the latest Kafka banner.
Then moved on to a bit of FuA thanks to Ratio and now with HMC i'm firmly on the Break train! Those teams are soooo good and easy to play. Not needing to care about crit is a blessing! Besides the main enabler is a free unit so EVERYONE gets to enjoy it😁

In the new patch we will have new relics and ornaments that improve FUA and break teams.
They made both thrash. Break is hyperbreak only and fua is just ult bonus . Planar is dogshit too the fua is one is ok
@@neel5715the relics for break are absolutely not trash, they are BiS for every break DPS that is not Boothill (and maybe Xueyi as the quantum set is just too strong) as every other break DPS wants HMC on their team to be able to deal consistent damage or else their damage just falls off after the initial break. The planar for FuA wilk also provably be the new BiS for any FuA character when played in a full FuA team (which you will pretty much always be doing as the goal of the playstyle is chaining as many follow ups as possible), even Himeko and Herta in Pure Fiction can use it if you don't want to farm the Pure Fiction set (which is in a world that is just not efficient to farm unless you have Acheron). The break planar and the FuA relics do indeed suck unless you are pulling for Firefly in case of the former.

Its just imo but fua is the most versatile cuz you can use the exact same team structure, just switching ratio for jade when AOE is needed
I already decided to only pull for followup and dots with supports for them. Best decision i made XD
my account was saved by mono quantum with xuyei-sparkle-silverwolf-fuxuan and a team with jingyuan-aventurine-robin-sparkle. idk what went fine in them but i used to struggle a lot in hsr without playing these teams and i dont even want to say how huge jing yuan's damage is like bro has outcasted IL, jingliu and black swan just because i didn't have right supports which could fit to their teams yet for JY it's so easy and he did so much damage i can afford now to just chill in the game and pull only for bias factor characters like sunday for who im saving right now. wonder what his play style will be
I'm a mono quantum defender until the end of time since I have one of the top 1000 seele worldwide... but no fu xuan 😢
Same, I'm using mono quantum but no Fu Xuan as well. Even when her banner is up right now, I need to skip her again because I want Firefly
@@snowleopy6378 I was worried about pulling for Fu Xuan because I also really want Firefly, but I did a single 10 pull and got her. Then I pushed my luck and pulled her lightcone on the first pull. I don't think I'll ever have better luck than that in my life
Hypercarry is my fave team comp (Jingliu and DHIL) But I'm currently enjoying my nihility team comp with acheron. Probably going to start building break team comp if I get firefly since I already have hmc and ruan mei
My favorite playstyle is JY hypercarry, and the fact that everypatch is somehow a JY buff patch is crazy
I owe jing yuan my life he saved my account his damage is insane and his teams are too easy to access

I have three teams currently. Jingliu hyper carry, QQ mono quantum and the premium follow up team.
Since pulling for aventurine, topaz and robin drained all my jades, I can't pull for a break team. (Boothill/firefly, ruan mei)
Ruan Mei definitely earned her place as 'best DoT team support', but swapping her for Acheron is absolutely broken in some scenarios. Also, call me a purist, but it's weird to me when we call 3 quantum + 1 wind/ice/etc as Mono Quantum still.

Cuz if the enemy already has a wind/ice weakness on them then u are guaranteed to implant quantum weakness with silverwolf.
DoT really is due for a dedicated support, one that fits the team better than Ruan Mei, Ruan Mei is shifting more towards a break support now and some people have been using Robin and it can be strong but feels more uncomfortable due to the high SP usage of the team (Robin is unable to generate skill ppints in concerto) and her crit dmg buff is absolutely wasted ofc so if you run both DoT and break then they are both fighting over Ruan Mei and DoTcheron is fun but Acheron is better played as a hypercarry with 2 defense shredders and a preservation who can use trend.
@@anothernerdontheinternetrobin doesn do much crit, her main buff is attack, also jus use robin or asta in the dot team an rm in the break team, also on the pure debuff debuff acheron route of def shred debuffs of like swan/SW/pela plus a dot applying sustain via fmc Gallagher or preservation wi trend vs the dot debuff acheron route of Kafka an black swan wi a sustain again wi a dot li fmc Gallagher or a preservation trend character, are you sure there's a definitive best between the 2? I don like pela cause how she works imo, it feels li it does nothing on her skill, an she also feels weak not habn much aoe bu I don like the idea of jiaoqiu since he's a semi sustain nihility an more stuff an i wanna get the dot team an the acheron team an use them both separately, bu idk wha debuffer will come tha I'll like to replace the slot alongside sw, or i could use swan there an use a dif dot unit on the other team bu idk, an please hoyo more dedicated units tha are more specific to this, specifically dot
both of my teams are hypercarry, first team consists of dhil sparkle ruan mei luocha, second team consists of acheron pela kafka aventurine, I am thinking of changing my first team to an hyper break team by replacing dhil with sam, moving sparkle to the acheron team and replacing luocha with gallagher
Personally I use break effect team because it’s just good harmony trailblazer makes ruan mei and Gallagher a sub Dps even if they are supports with boothilt to add a weakness break and shred just makes it take more super break
my favorite team is dot, i use it everywhere even before kafka came out with sampo and serval, it was very bad but now i have all the characters, E2S1 Kafka and Swan (got very lucky) and E1S1 rm +E0 huohuo, it just feel very good to use no matter what, no need for crit. My second favorite team is FuA, it's just very fun to me when i spam follow up attacks all the time instead of doing one big hit every 15 years like acheron which is one of the reason i skipped her.

Mono quantum is great to clear MOC and the new endgame mode coming in 2.3 apocalyptic shadow but its not the best for pure fiction.
And since you're a new player, there's the problem of having to pull for three 5 stars to make the team work best, those characters being silverwolf, sparkle and fuxuan. Fuxuan is on the current banner but it'll take time until the other two have their rerun. Likely 2.5-2.7
Dot was good before Black Swan. Favourite team is FUA.
DOT x Acheron
I have two account my main account has a fully built dot team, multiple hyper carry team jingling, Dan hang IL, Acheron are the ones I have, the mono quantum team but it not built well, and planning to built up the break team characters, because I am pulling for firefly on that account, the second account, has the full fua team of ratio, topaz, robin and aventurine, and I am planning to build a break boothill team on that account too, bascailly any team I like but can’t pull for on my main I get on my second account

If we were to get a 6* kafka, there would be no need for sustain, and no the term "backloaded dmg" will not exist
i mean, i would use Asta instead of ruan mei in dot team, because it lets black swan do more attacks and more stacks, and her basic attacks can burn the enemy. so yeah.
Then use robin instead of you got her, eben more spammy spam, well, unless you like the burn bounce tha much more you don wanna use her

Im Acheron maining and im glad i put my money on the canonically strongest dps lol, i alt between Archeron, (pela/SW), (sparkle/ruan mei), (gallehgar/aven/fuxuan) mix and match content wise, or run her with only harmony for a silly AcherOFF team. I really love action advance blade but its pretty inconsistent DPS content wise. Follow-up teams are fun af in SU and PF.

i don't count mono quantum as a playstyle tbh it can almost be replicated with any element (keep in mind i say almost bc it doesn't work for every element currently) the only difference between mono quantum and other mono element is they can be used a lot more thanks to sw and you also missed a playstyle that isn't complete yet hp decay this is the playstyle with characters who consume hp to deal more damage so blade/jingliu/arlan for damage dealer with luocha/lynx/shielder for arlan specifically as sustain it's not complete yet bc we don't have a support dedicated to the playstyle yet the closest we have is lynx with her aggro and max hp increase
btw i don't have a favorite playstyle i enjoy them all but my best 3 dps are hypercarry, dot, and hp decay (okay well jingliu is in hypercarry rn but that's bc i don't have blade yet when i do the team will lean more toward hp decay)

im really enjoying aventurine but i will never be able to enjoy RRAT team cause one ratio blocks aven's passive points gain so even's potential is just wasted there. my boy has made the best show on penacony not for THAT, imaginary units other than himself really don't go too well with him huh
