The Volvo hydroelectric pumps will run in a limp mode (70%-75% power) when the Canbus wires are not connected. You can get a controller from Reform Motorsports for like $90 that allows you to adjust pump pressure up to 100%
Very interesting! It would be any possibility to run the pump only when the engine is on? As a some kind of "automatic switch" as a more oem feel system, im not a fan of having to conect the pump each time i run the car, I don't know if I explained well what i mean....
I think it would be a more "oem" feel using the signal that alternator gives to the ecu, one of the cables from the alternator, when engine is off gives 0v, but when the engine is on it sends 12v to de ecu, so if you conect the thin ehps cable to that one you will have only ps when the engine is on, yo can also put a switch just for certain moments but for the most car use i thing that way would be more similar to oem, imo it would be a good option... I like to overthink stuff... 🙄🙄😑
You can use the one that came with the pump if you like, there’s another volvo one that has a reservoir with a cap as well, I went with this one because it looks more OEM
Only issue I see it’s electric S pump that worried me is if they go bad won’t the steering wheel rock aggressively back nforth? My wife’s car did that ,I’m running a retro fit kit keeping my ps but for my k swap
@@DirtyGarageTx no it wont rock aggressively back and forth. Your wife's car has the electric motor gear directly to the steering rack. There is no hydraulics on the new style electric steering. This method is just like a normal hydraulic steering setup, but instead of the engine running the pump, the electric motor runs the pump!
@@chaiyangg idk if you will reply but its worth a shot hows the pump running on the honda fluid im trying to do this conversion but i havent found anything on the fluid and how its running with honda fluid
Anybody here have any knowledge on a b16a2 I already replaced fitv and replaced gaskets for intake and also replaced vaccum lines. my car surging like a mf feels like it’s cammed
Is there any way to quiet it down? Or is Is just always going to be loud? I'm running factory exhaust. Not a race car I just want to clean the bay up on my ES1 to make it easier to work on

I gotta say. That is pretty sweet. Thanks dude. Hopefully my engine is louder than the pump. That sound is horrible
Awesome video bro. I've been thinking of how to this to my integra
Fasho brother. Good info and keep coming in new videos.
good stuff. does it matter if you leave out the pressure switch on the high pressure line?
I don’t have one and had a problem
Thanks you for your videos great content bro
Great info!!
looks good man
*I prefer long videos that are informative*

You can leave it on the acc ports and when you turn on your car it’ll turn on

@@alex-em1-blue you can look one up from a s40 usually all volvo ones are the same
What did you do about the breather port? I am using the different reservoir the one that goes with the pump what would you recommend for that?

That new humming it’s from the pump right?
Yes it is, but once’s your motor is on you won’t notice it

@@adrienpearson9901 ahhhhh ok ok thnks for the clarification I think I may try third round less belts on motor more power
Did you have an issue with that high pressure line bursting at the track?
I did with a different line, the other hose was rated for 1200 but I really don’t think they gave me the right hose
what fluid did you go with? honda or volvo specific?
I used Honda

It’s not that loud when your driving or when the car is on
