1. It's an Aladdin cave of things to do 2. It's night markets are treasure troves 3. It's food prices for what you get is fabulous 4. Impossible to get bored 5. Locals are very friendly 6. Nightlife is amazing 7. Leave Bangkok and go to the beach islands is the next step in evolution
Yea, there's so much to do, see, and enjoy there. I feel that I could spend the rest of my life in Thailand if I had a residual income to just live as a tourist staying in expat guesthouses and enjoying life. Wouldn't that be so nice?
@@brandons2842 I went towards the end of October. It hardly rained at all that particular trip. This past Oct and Nov were super rainy. BKK weather gets really good about the 3rd week of Nov usually
@@bradley_Bradleyit’s more affordable flights and hotel during September and October but some days it’s rains but the rain only last an hour or two mostly
100% Bangkok gives you the best value for your money. My condo was $2,100 for an entire year. 2 infinity pools, nice gym, train stop right outside, and a 7/11 right next door. You can't beat it with a stick. It gets even cheaper if you go to places like Pattaya lol I see why people don't want to leave this place lol
Bangkok at night rocks, it's the vibe, the tall buildings all lit up and even in the suburbs looking on to street scene with the lights from nearby buildings. The flights are super expensive at present from the UK, so I'm not sure when I'll get back there, hopefully this year. Girls riding side saddle on a motorcycle, yeah nothing unusual here lol
Summer in Thailand starts from March to June. It’s hot, so be prepared. We don’t have spring /fall here. It’s usually summer or rainy season and a little bit of winter which never really cold.
In late 2019 I ended up on a motorcycle taxi twice in Pattaya and still not sure how that happened, maybe due to a language barrier with me. Both rides scared the hell out of me, but such fun memories. I haven't been to NY City yet, but so thrilled with Bangkok I'd rather go back there instead for the reasons you mentioned.
yeah bruh living in Bangkok was my first time taking a motor taxi ever, its actually not that bad.... when you have a good driver. Also i feel like you experince the city better on a motor bike vs car taxi. Glad you enjoyed your time here, peace and love
agreed. for people looking to go.. thailand is very easy to travel. best value... so easy to excahnge money, no sketchy activities/scams, wifi is everywhere, and some people speak english/most transist has english.... I live in USA. im still shocked South America is not as advanced as THailand. with great internet and english translation everywhere
Sly you should buy a Rabbit card for BTS (and you can use it to buy food or stuff with some discounts at many places) and MRT card for the subway. Once you get them, you can skip the long line and go straight to the train.
Hé hé it’s the middle of the extreme summer man. Oh well, the temp doesn’t reach upto 40 like Chiang Mai but the humidity makes it feel like 10 degrees higher. 😂 enjoy the rest of your stay man, thanks for visiting our home.
Agreed all. If you do more research you will find a lot of good food scattered all over BKK. Search from local BKK people not from major tourist places.
You don't need to move country so often as there is a lot to do, see, and show off which can keep your costs down. Thailand is the kind of country I spent 2 months in on 3 different trips. Lots of backpacker guesthouses, things like rural nature reserve hikes, and a great expat social scene in guesthouses and bars.
Please try some other Thai food besides Thai curry. Thai salads ( several types) are highly recommended. During these hot seasons we do not enjoy dishes with coconut milk that much. It’s too heavy .
Bangkok bad time is around flood season combine with friday. I got stuck standing on the bus for hours several years ago or just simply BTS malfunction in the exact 8 AM. but those happen once in a very long while. also depend on area too, some are just plain bad for traffic
5:45 there is almost nowhere in Thailand you will find uncovered places to present. I have lived here for years, and it drives you crazy how many UA-camrs arrive and present places as if they are the first to do so, unbeknownst they are the 10th person to stand at that exact spot this month. It becomes tiresome.
JUST TO CLARIFY The Last Point::: Massages especially deep tissue or Thai massages are best done on a empty stomach. Go for free and drink plenty of water afterwards. Just ask any massage therapist they will tell you the same 😂😂😂😂😂

Very affordable housing in walkable places. That is so nice!
Wow I have not been to Bangkok for 25 years your vlog has showed me the updated version ❤❤❤❤ thanks
Bangkok and Rio de Janeiro are my favorite cities.

Thank you for the video, Sly! I can't wait to find out where you are headed next. If I had to venture a guess, I would say Singapore or Malaysia.

Sly Fox on the move! What’s the best country you’re traveled to where you would live long term?
I think he lived in Medellin, Colombia for at 1-2 years so I would think that's his favorite spot.
Totally agree with you, 💯 I have been to some horrible cities in the world that'll I'll never visit again, but Bangkok is great as is Thailand

I saw 2 expats in Thai driving Ferrari and 500s Benz. You'd would need arm security to drove those in South America.
