For all my dry skin guys, gals, nonbinary pals, and everyone else in-between, the milk makeup hydro grip setting spray is so glowy but your makeup will not move, even when you sweat, even without wearing powder. I absolutely swear by it.
It’s so amazing I love that one already emptied mines need to grab a new one :)
Thank you for sharing! 💗 I haven’t tried that setting spray! 😍
Agree! I really like the Hydro Grip spray, and it works well for me. Another that I’ve had success with is the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray, even though that one does have a stronger fragrance (so, not for everyone).
Yes as someone with dry skin but lives in California this setting spray was chefs kiss!!! I’m definitely going to repurchase it after I’m done using the ones I’ve bought. 🥰
Thank you for this 🖤
At last I see someone suggesting long-wear and full coverage foundations for Summer! There are so many launches of moisturizing foundations for Summer when we don't really need to moisturize that much this time of the year. Loved your choices, two of my faves is the Urban Decay All Nighter setting powder and the All Nighter Setting Spray. Sending love! 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
I feel like the moisturizing foundations and skin tints just slide right off my skin in the summetime! I definitely need a more mattifying formula for sure. I appreciate you taking the time to watch! 🥰
@@AndreaMatillano I totally agree with you! Same over here! 😘🤗
I swear by Charlotte Tillbury's new setting spray. It may be better than the All Nighter.
@@britgal8940 Yes! I swear by Charlotte Tilbury's too! It is better than the All Nighter. I still use the All Nighter, but definitely Charlotte's is the winner. 💕💕
Yes! Thank you!! All these skin tints and glowy products would never work on my oily skin, especially in Houston heat and humidity!
An oldy but goody I’d say is the Mac Prolong-wear concealer, result is similar to Too Faced BTW multi-use concealer. My tip to keep makeup lasting longer in the summer: after applying your base makeup (foundation, sunscreen ect) press a facial tissue all over your face where you’ve applied those products to pick up excess oil/moisture, then powder to seal everything. This has really helped me in humid environments!
Wow that is such a great tip! I’ve never tried that but I am definitely going to give it a shot tomorrow now! Thank you for sharing! 🥰
@@AndreaMatillano I remembered this tip from Wayne Goss,I forgot about it until now. You’d be surprise how much moisture this blotting method picks up from base products like foundation especially. Even better, carrying blotting paper is also hand for touch ups during the day 😃👍
Love mac pro long wear it never fails me on days I work 16 to 18 hour shifts ...I'm oily and it doesn't move
Yes! Please make a video on the long-wear/sweat proof blushes, mascaras, bronzers and eyeliners.
I can definitely film one! Thanks for the suggestion! 💗
Bring on the heatproof products,!!!! It's stinking hot here!! I've been choosing to go without a lot of makeup to avoid melty face. 💕
I hear you! I don’t think we’ve ever had such a hot summer!
@@AndreaMatillano I swear I'd never complain about heat after experiencing 118 degrees in a car with no AC, but I'm still hot at 87 degrees....;)
You always wear the most beautiful blouses! 🌺
All of these sound promising! Thanks Andrèa!
I recently discovered the Elf primer mist and setting mist for oil control. Those two together are the truth.
They definitely make some of my favorite products for oily skin! 🙌
I’ve been using the Laura Gellar baked balance n brighten foundation and I really love it. I’m 45 and never thought there would be a powder foundation that would actually look good on mature skin. I actually like it so much I just purchased a lighter shade for winter!
Yup! You’re absolutely right! It’s so pretty on my 50 yr old skin & I never thought I’d be able to wear powder foundation til I found the Laura Gellar. I’ve also recently tried the new L’Oréal Infallible one too (in the red & clear compact & that one is a winner too👍❤️
I will be 41 this November and I have really been wanting to try that powder foundation. Thanks for this recommendation. I love her blushes and I don't know why I have hesitated to make that purchase
I agree with everyone! I’m 63 and it looks beautiful on my dry mature skin. I just love her products!
I used to have that too. Loved it. My daughter loved it too, because it disappeared one day 🥰.
I love your shirt and eye look.
As a dry skinned person none of these apply to me but I have to show support to you, 🙂💗💗
I always enjoy your videos. This was very informative, and I appreciate the way you gave drugstore alternatives.
Thank you so much for your kind comment! I appreciate you taking the time to watch! 🥰
I absolutely love this mustard-y yellow top on you! I wouldn’t mind seeing you do an eyeshadow look using this mustard yellow color w/a deep chestnut brown. I bet the color combo would look so pretty on you! 💚❤️
Love this video!!!
Hi Andrea! I absolutely love your videos like this - you are SO thorough and give the best descriptions, recommendations & reviews. Thank you for sharing these and have a wonderful rest of your day! 💜
You never disappoint. 🤗
Andrea can you do a video of this same concept but with foundations and stuff that’s fragrance free! Or a video for sensitive skin? :) I have sensitive skin and I can hardly wear anything with fragrance in it. The too faced concealer broke me out so bad! And the foundations all have fragrance in them!
I need to get matched with the pretty fresh foundation because you rave about it so much and it’s so affordable. I have combo to dryer skin and I don’t like the fenty foundation but I understand why you would we have different skin types.
Loved this video! I took a social media break and I’m thankful I came back to your great videos!! Thank you!!
Love them Andrea
Enjoyed video love your top
Thank you for sharing !
Yup! I just repurchased the UD All-Nighter setting powder too! It’s my all time favorite for locking things in place. Nothing else does what this one does💜
Yes! I’m so glad to hear that it works well for you too! 💗
I use eyeshadow primer on my nose. Seems to
Work for me 👍🏼
I use a little before concealer on some small areas that show red.
Oh yes i need this video , thank you ❤❤❤
Great video. Your makeup and skin look flawless! Love the lip color.
It’s even hot in Wisconsin! This is a such a helpful video! Thank you ❤️🔥
Thank you so much for watching! 🥰💗 I hope you staying nice and cool!
Thanks, Andrea!
I live in Arizona, and it was around 117 degrees about two weeks ago. It's about 109 degrees today. WAY TOO HOT!!! I'm melting. lol
💜💜💜
Oh my gosh that’s so hot! 😱 I don’t know how you do it!
Oh my gosh! I can hardly stand it in the 80s! You’re my hero!
Loving the blouse 😍💛
Great review! Thank you 😊 👍
I love all three of those foubdations!!
please check out the one size powder foundation and the loreal powder foundation!
I LOVE that shirt!
Thank you so much Amy! 💗
Living in coastal NC (hot & HUMID), I really APPRECIATE you sharing your precious time, thoughts, & knowledge with us all! Hopefully, better makeup days are ahead! Sending Hugs, 🙏🏻, & 💕
yay new video. just had to tell you that i tried the essence all about matt powder and oh dolly it was so good, i struggle with OILY skin, large pores like car halls and usually powders dont last a long time. but this one mattifyed all the oils away and made my skin look so smooth and it prolonged my makeup like hell. i also use it as a finishing powder after setting spray. love your videos so much and your good recommandations. stay safe and well best wishes to you beautifull
That is amazing! 😍🙌 I am so happy to hear that it works so well for you! Isn’t it the best when you find a product that just works so well!
ps the milani make it last dried my oily skin out so bad that it has been 2 months and its just now starting to get better, it dried my skin out so bad that it peeled and it hurt and was red. i tried both the matte and the original. not good for sensitive skin.
@@AndreaMatillano yes it is so satisfying, and when you have oily ass skin its hard to find something that actually works.
I have very oily skin and my tried and true is MAC studio fix powder foundation. So light good coverage. Best way to apply is with applicator that comes with it. Has separate compartment to hold applicator and has small holes so it won't get funky.
What do you think of the Benefit Porefressional Super Setter setting spray?
Yay! I bought the catrice foundation on your recommendation and it’s my new fav! Love your videos and all your recommendations! ❤️
That makes me so happy to hear! I’m so glad to hear that you love it!
For powder foundation I have been using the dual finish Lancôme powder. I have combo skin but more on the dry side. This doesn’t look patchy or anything. Thanks for your video. I enjoyed it.
I would LOVE to see you do this same video using lightweight products. I don't like to go heavy in the summer, but I find that a lot of the lighter coverage products break up on my face.
Thank you for this video. I have normal/dry skin (I usually just say dry) but I’m still want to try some of these products. I love the ColourPop foundation and All Nighter setting spray.
Have you tried the Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer? It seems pretty good. You don’t need much.
I have a few of these. Thanks so much for this roundup! I always trust ur recommendations. 💝💝
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch! 🥰
Happy Tuesday Everyone Wow
I hope you’re having a great week so far!
Laura Geller baked foundations (powder) are the BEST ! Even for mature skinm
I tried that years ago but it’s been so long! I think I need to repurchase it!
@@AndreaMatillano I’d love for you to do a review on the Laura Gellar baked foundation since we have similar skin.
@@juliebunnell8245 I agree, Laura Geller products are a hidden gem. Her spackle primer, baked bronzer and highlighters are worth trying.
Thank you sweets. I do love the UD All Nighter setting spray. I’m going to have to try the powder too. I hope your doing well also. Have a great day. Hugs, Brenda 💄💄
Yes please give me some suggestions for sweat/heat proof! It’s so freakin hot where I work , it’s hard keeping makeup on. I love doing my makeup but when I feel like it’s gonna melt off, what’s the point? Haha my nose is a trouble area as well, no matter what I feel like it breaks down fast. Hope you’re doing good 💜
Following, hopefully some good recommendations come our way
Such a perfect video for today especially. I try to walk each day and lately in the morning. I was a sweaty mess when I finished this morning. I’m taking mental notes on these products. I’ve believe mentioned it before but my favorite waterproof powder is the essence matte powder waterproof. I hate Ulta no longer sales the waterproof formula. Catrice has a waterproof one that is pretty good too.
Love the video and beautiful top!!!
Great Video Andrea
Thank you so much for watching! 🥰
(Andrea) we have something in common •too faced born this way concealer• it’s my to go to also #1… always enjoy your videos. Thanks 😊
Thank you so much for watching! 🥰💗 I’m so glad to hear that you love that one too!
Super helpful, thank you!!
Glad to see these! I’ve been an avid watcher of your channel for a while (and loved your reviews-esp on eyeshadow- and declutters) but sometimes I couldn’t quite relate on base products since I do have dry skin lately my skin is much more oily and sweaty during the summer so I’m like what do I use now? So thank you for these recs I’m so excited to pick up the essence powder I’m also trying to wear spf every day and need that so I don’t look like a greasy mess! (Lol my usual powders don’t cut it!)
Wet n wild photo focus loose powder…hands down the best for oily skin!! I promise you will love it!!
I’ve been trying to buy powders with spf and the bare minerals translucent powder has been working well. I have the powder foundation, but I’m not crazy about it. I would love if you could test out foundation powders with spf. I love your drugstore recommendations!
Physicians Formula has a powder with SPF 30 in 2 shades I wear in over tinted sunscreen and foundation for extra coverage it’s great.
I really like the powder foundation from Covergirl! I use a buffing brush instead of the puff because I can control how much I put on.
I need to try some of these. Ok, living in Az, nothing lasts. Ha ha. Actually it’s air to air. So it’s good to know. Another great video …I love how you do affordable and luxury as well
Arizona temperatures are next level! Thank you for taking the time to watch Louise! 🥰
thanks for the video! very helpful :)
I'm curious, what foundations do you recommend for oily skin that you don't have to powder? My routine in the morning takes so long with all the prepping and powdering!
Honestly I always powder all of my foundations because my skin gets so oily. 😭 That is definitely one of the reasons why I love powder foundations! They seem to last on the skin really well and they cut down on so many steps!
Try perhaps Laura gellar backed powder foundation
what do you have on your eyes? I’m obsessed! X
I love the Colourpop Pretty Fresh Foundation. It covers up my acne prone skin. Is the elf cc cream also a good foundation? Best powder foundation for drugstore is Maybelline Super Stay 16 HR Powder Foundation. It covers up acne scars after going in with liquid foundation. Liquid foundation clogs pores
I love the urban decay powder foundation 😍. I'm still looking for a good mattifying primer though
Adore you and your recommendations Andréa! We have very similar skin types. I'm super oily and I sweat like crazy 😭 On your recommendation, I bought the Farsali dupe (Makeup Revolution) and I do like it in moderation. I use it around my nose and on my forehead. In conjunction, I use the e.l.f. putty primer on my cheeks to smooth. The Catrice foundation is in my top 3 faves of all time! 😁 Thank you for your vids. They always help me SO much!
It Cosmetics Celebration Foundation is my go to humidity proof powder foundation! It can look super light or can be built up to full coverage. Other powder products blend beautifully over top. Works great over concealer on my nose too. Just a great powder foundation. I live in south Louisiana, so if it stands up to this heat & humidity, it’ll work anywhere!
I've never been able to wear liquid foundation, only powder, so I've tried so many. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried the Ulta brand, Adjustable Coverage powder foundation and mrkongsmom got me to try the Laura Geller Baked Balance and Brighten one, which I love. She has an oily complection and this is her favorite foundation. It looks really pretty on the skin too. Only thing is it's baked so sometimes the swirls are different, so I get the two lightest colors and for summer I have the golden one.
I have been swearing by the Estée Lauder double wear on warmer days but love both the colourpop and Catrice foundations.
I got the HD Catrice Liquid Foundation on your recommendation & I am OBSESSED! I love it! I do makeup for Prom, Homecomings & some family/friend Weddings & this foundation is cheap enough I can buy & keep a range of colors! I also just got the Milani setting spray as a dupe for the Urban Decay All Nighter, it’s good but the UD is better 🤩😂
Thanks for the recommendations! I love your videos!
Hope you'll try Dior Powder no powder because I'm interested to hear review from oily skin girl 💕👀
Ahhh I’m dying to try that one because it looks amazing! I only use cruelty-free products and sadly Dior is not cruelty-free. 😭 I hope they go CF one day soon because I hear great things about so many of their products!
@@AndreaMatillano ohh I didn't know they aren't CF😞 It's a shame!
I might have to pick up the farsali primer, I’ve barely worn makeup since summer started (partially because it’ll instantly melt off in the heat) and I miss it 😭
Great video💕
I’m a big fan of the Pretty Fresh foundation. One of the few things I would repurchase from CP.
Btw, have you tried the powder foundation by Make Up For Ever. It did not move for 12 hours while being in the park this past Sunday.
Thank You for your recommendation!😘
@@brookspa94 You're welcome! 😘
Hi Andrea,
I really love your makeup, esp. your eyes. Oh yes, you're wearing falsies and your eyebrows are nice and thinner. Love it!!.. I like ELF putty primer and Catrice. Haven't tried ColourPop foundation, Born this way or Kosas consealer. I love Milani's. Just using what works for now.
I recently discovered powder foundation from beauty creations, full coverage and its an affordable brand.
I love that one! You can't beat it either for the price! I couldn't believe the coverage
You look gorgeous in this video. Where is your top from. Seriously every time I see you in a cute shirt I got buy it and wear it to work and get so many compliments. I’m gonna need you to take a picture of all your cute tops and tell me where they are from lol.
Outstanding Great Palette For Sales In Walmart
I know a lot of people don’t like it but the colourpop matte foundation lasts soooo long on my skin with makeup revolution super fix spray setting spray. That spray is hairspray for the face you have to try it!
I do like the e.l.f. Oil Control Primer Mist, but you are so right about the sprayer: it's terrible! I recently bought the e.l.f. Acne Fighting Putty Primer but I haven't tried it yet - I hope it will work for me.
I do like the Milani Concealer. It is great for spot concealing, but it seems to become dry and cakey under my eyes throughout the day.
I wish I could use the UD All-Nighter Setting Spray, but the scent is so disgusting to me. 🤢
I just need to share. I just like on 3rd moved to nowhere Ville Arkansas from Sac Cali. I'm struggling with lack of phone service and internet... Im missing so many videos. Hoping this 1 can play thru
Boo I couldn't watch it... in town now ill try to get a few more min in
I noticed that with Farsali. So crazy. Hmmm I have the fenty. I heard that it oxidizes like crazy so its hard to shade match. At least you are admitting that you will use a product longer than it is supposed to last for because I definitely do the same thing and I use the too faced for the same purposes.
I love your eyeshadow. What are you wearing? 😍
The shirt! Where did you find it? Love it!
Thank you! I actually got it from Target last year! 💗
Is loose setting powder better for no transfer? I used something baked from Becca, I've used sephora microsmooth, I've used tons of setting sprays. I can still touch a fingernail to my face before leaving the house and up comes foundation.
I find that the best way to ensure that my foundation stays in place and doesn't transfer is to take a slightly damp beauty sponge and really pressed a loose or dry powder into the skin. Not full on baking the skin but really pressing a small amount in place so that it locks everything in!
I am struggling to find a primer/foundation combo that doesn't create white dots in my pores. I also have yet to find a foundation that lasts more than an hour or so on my oily nose, despite all the beauty guru tricks I have tried.
My nose is my problem area too. I definitely have to blot and apply powder throughout the day. Have you tried powder foundations? They seem to sit on the skin in a more natural way!
🌞💙🌞
💗💗
Instead of Farsali, get the Revolution dupe in the pink bottle. It's just as good and ten dollars!
Thank You for your recommendation! I can’t justify spending so much $ on the Farsali! 😘
@@brookspa94 You're welcome! Drugstore brands are SO good nowadays with all the competition, there is no longer any reason to just buy high end, if at all! I have used the Farsali and Revolution liquid powders and they work exactly the same IMO! Spending $40 on the Farsali seems ridiculous.
@@rainbowmaneunicorn7338 😘
Covergirl has a super long lasting foundation but I am not sure what it is called.
Any dry skin people have any skin tint/light foundation that is dewy, hydrating and long lasting- especially in the heat?
The wet n wild tinted moisturizer is actually really amazing and has been my go to the past few weeks. The pur 4 in 1 is also very nice.
It's funny how products work differently on diffrent people. I also have really oily skin, and the fenty foundation just can't keep up. In 1 hour I'm an oily mess.
Yup same.
@@Allyson6C OMG I thought I was the only one! It's like, ok when I apply it it's matte, alright. But it's not oil controlling at all.
@@metropolotankreyole that’s exactly how it is for me too. It’s beautiful upon application but it just doesn’t last. It’s unfortunate too bcz it’s a really pretty product.
I bought the Farsali liquid oil balancing serum after the last time you recommended it. I ordered it from Sephora and the bottle I got was visibly old. I think I will wait to see what Farsali does with their business before getting anything else from their line.
Another great vid! You are nowhere near old enough to answer this question, but… do you have a female relative going through menopause who could test this panel of products for us girls ‘going through it’?! All of us with hot sweats would love you forever, possibly longer! 😁 Rx
Yes!! I haven't even been wearing makeup because my hot flashes are so bad and I'm always very very sweaty!!
Sunscreen traveled to my eyes when I was driving and idk about you but it STUNG and my eyes couldn’t stop watering. I wasn’t even sweating either! So scary lol wtf sunscreen?!
I wish Catrice would make lighter shades in the foundation…the lightest shade is way too dark for my very fair skin.
I hear last year they were planning on expanding the shade range even more but I wonder if they got behind because of everything going on last year. 😭
The humidity is horrible
It has been so humid where I live too! We have had so many thunderstorms!
@@AndreaMatillano same
It is like you walk outside & you drip with wetness. Yuck 🤮. 💜💜
Very true! Oily skin and the humidity is a rough mix!
It really is awful. You would think I would be used to it but I never do 💜💜. I absolutely love your tips. Thank you so much
My makeup is melting off of my face. I actually don’t think it has been this bad 💜💜
You do not look like you are that fair?
