the only downside living with cats it is their relative short life span (compared to humans) that make you really sad from time to time. if they lived as long as turtles cats would be the best thing ever made in all existence.

I have visiting cats from the neighbour that come to my balcony. Now it´s almost summer, so the balcony door is always open.

They're actually a lot more social than what people make of them. They may not do a lot of tricks but they're always interested in what they're family is doing when they're not sleeping, and a lot of them consider dogs as part of their family. They're very affectionate.

However, on this side of the Pacific Ocean, cat are very precious and treated as pets, and gets love dignity and respect, while on the other side of the Pacific Ocean, they do not. They are considered FOOD, and they eat them, and that's why CAT MEAT SHOPS are very common in Asia, even in the year 2022.

My Twirley cat was found by a dumpster... Now? Always by my side with love and Scratchies. 😸😍 Never a day goes by without treats, a good brush and a tablespoon of wet food in her bowl.

My relationship with my cat was pretty much, everything was done by her own accord. She'd choose whether to be near me or not. Sometimes you could mess around and play with her or give her a bit of fuss, but usually it was her choosing when she wanted attention. Love her to bits and miss her everyday

This is adorable, but some of the men were "pizzing" the cat off, cat not enjoying what that older gentleman was doing. But, at least he was giving the puss attention. Most were happy pusses, a little teasing or not. As long as they know you love them... which we all do!
A good way to judge whether a cat is annoyed with you is to see if it's lying in your lap. If it is, it is tolerating your teasing, however rough it may seem. So I think the older gentleman and his cat were fine.

i was never a cat person i was a dog person all the way. that all changed about 4 years ago we had a stray grey tabby cat hanging outside our house for about 3 weeks she would just show up out of no where so one day she followed me in the house and never left. i have never and never will have a connection with an animal like i did with that cat. she was the most playful loving incredible animal you could ever hope for my daughter said she adopted me as her favorite person. lol she would be where ever i was . sleeping in between me and my wife resting her head on my hand almost every night. we lost her about a year ago to rare form of cancer followed a month later by our black lab dog. turns out the people who lived behind us decided it would be a good idea to have green thumb spray their back yard with dangerous pesticides 9 times in 4 months i blame that for the loss of both of our animals. i was shocked when the vet told us she was 13 i thought she was 4 or 5 yrs old tops so enjoy your time with your pets people never take it for granted,

My buddy cat most of the times sleeps between by legs or on chest. When he doesn't, I could not sleep properly whole night. But when he sleeps, I get lost in deep sleep. I don't even know when he wakes up early in the morning and walks away. May be due to the fact that cats sleep most of the time in a day, I too get peaceful deep sleep when he is sleeping with me at night. ❤️🐾🐈⬛🐈😍🥰😘

My cat plays hide and go seek. He will hide and jump out to try to get me, then run somewhere and hide again. I must play or he gets sad!
I always grew up with dogs and not really liking cats. I believed all the cliché's. Selfish, scratchy fighty. No love in them etc. Until December last year 2021 when my wife got me a kitten to keep me company while she works. I was a passenger in a car accident and suffered brain trauma, I have not been the old me since. I become vacant and unaware. So, this little boy beauty I named Ninja came into my life and turned it the right side up. I would still have vacant moments so we decided to get another (already named Marvel) to keep Ninja company when I wander off in my head. The conclusion: The two of them love each other, they love me and I have not had any real issues in 7 months now. They have changed my world. Everyone can see it and they tell me all the time. I get licks (kisses) I get cuddles, they wake me up on time (they need feeding) we have a wonderful relationship. If you need a lift in your life, get a cat ! 😻😽 They are also really funny 😹 My naughty little kittens, I love it. 🤣😆🥰🤗
Believe me, that getting cuddles and kisses from partner (human) is also possible and is much more fulfilling and natura, than doing it with animals. Off course it takes some effort, but everything what is worth, comes at some effort. Mostly on your side.
