I have just made my own yesterday and found your site and it was wonderful to see how u used it - i rarely see people 'box' or section yhe paint colours, ijust love that look! You have a new subscriber!! Itd be great to see u do live shows, id be there!! Please keep going, your ideas are great and producing style all straightforward and no faff!! Thank u so much Laura!!!
Erin, thank you for your enthusiasm and support. I will be back teaching and recording on July 10th. I'm taking a much needed vacation and using my time to organize and spruce up my channel. This all takes time for a non tech person such as myself. I'm excited. I guess an old dog can learn new tricks!
Well that's great to hear, all artists need some soul food and recouperation, and it's a great idea to fund ways to improve these art channels - there are many of them but yours is really very interesting and helpful. By the way after making my gelliplate yesterday I started doing some art today and I was happily surprised! But sooo keen to learn more, especially transferring photos /images onto canvas or a tual artwork....or perhaps it's easier to create art on top of the image which seems exciting as well. But first I'm going over and over your plate techniques and I'll be ready when u are back from hols! Thanks for replying, that was kind of u. Ps love to know or have listed some of the paints or stencil agents, distressing oxides etc if u use things like that! I'm a newbie but totally addicted as UA-cam is like a new artists heaven! It was MADE for art tuition!!👍🌟💕
If you plan to mix and roll out for as long as Laura does, you *will* want to use acrylic paint with Open medium so the paint doesn’t dry out. Otherwise, most regular acrylic is fine. Golden Open medium is around $8 for 4 oz at most online art stores. The “stencil” Laura uses is called sequin waste or punchinella.
The blue is Provence Blue by Charvin (beautiful paint can purchase at Jerry’s Artarama online), Van Dyke brown by Golden, and not sure on the orange. I’ll check in the morning. Hope this helps.

Stencil Girl online is a great resource for stencils. My top pick. 🥰
