    Usetool's warnings
    - Once the operation is completed, you'll need pump slowly on the brake pedal a few times until feeling a strong resistance from the pedal. The aim being to bring the brake pads closer to one other.
    - Drive smoothly and avoid sudden braking for the first 50 kilometers or so to avoid glazing the new pads.
    - Make sure to check the stability of your vehicle before starting the operation.
    - Don't burn yourself on the pads if you've just gone for a drive as braking creates friction and long-lasting heat.
    Usetool's infos
    - When replacing brake discs, you also need to replace the brake pads. This is a mandatory procedure.
    - What do we mean by "glazing new brake pads"?
    - Break pads are made of a material that needs to be run-in when new. If this procedure is not done properly, when braking too hard, the material overheats and hardens. Consequently, the brakes become less effective.

I think you forgot to mention that you should take some brake fluid out of the reservoir before pushing the brake cylinders back. If you dont you will likely end up with brake fluid everywhere and remember it eats paint. Still very good videos thank you

A lot of work has been done. Why didn't you check the caliper guides and replace the lubricant? The brake cylinder piston was not lubricated.

    Not bleed the brakes ?

    • @2DC24
      @2DC24 Рік тому +1

No, you didn't disconnected the brake hose.
So no air should have gotten inside this no need to bleed the brakes

Great video. Thanks. Awful website experience. Discs say set of 2 but prices do not make sense. Items added to basket. Basket empty when basket selected. I'll be using other suppliers unfortunately

I strongly recommend to not jack these unibody cars like shown here, as long you don't want to permanently modify pinchweld and subframe. These cars, like the Nissan K14, must be jacked at the marked points with decent rubber pads. No stands needed, there is no need to crawl under the car for a brake job. A ok hydraulic lift like in the video will hold it safely.

I have to say this is the Shit and a Warning about the front pads. on CLIO 4 there are 2 versions of calipers. So when you order brakepads be very careful when you order the brakepads. Check your calipers first. This can be a huge cost and time consuming. Soo there are 2 videos one with only brake pads and the other one is this. Those videos are the best how to change but it is also the most misinformative. Check your calipers and rotors because CLIO 4 have 2 sets of brake systems in the front.

Yeah, depends on manufacturing year. Cars made on 4/2015 to 2019 have bigger calipers and pads.

Copergrease might interact with ABS sensors.
Ceramic Grease doesn't and thus is advised by modern Cars..

      Would silicone grease also work?

This is a tale, it makes no sense. And the sensor is not under the disk where they put it anyway.
