14:30 Lharys, Mohor and Kurleket are references to the Three Stooges Larry, Moe and Curly bizarrely. in a feast for crows theres a reference to the three little pigs where the northman (wolves) burn down a farm, a wooden holdfast and are stopped by the stone Sow's Horn of House Hogg.

I think Tyrion tends to blow his leg pain out of proportion, because we all know he can walk, run, ride a horse, climb stairs and mountains, do flips. He's fine. I'm sure they hurt sometimes, and probably a bit more than a typical person's legs, but he's obviously not handicapped. On at least two occasions, Tyrion is carried like a kid because he has to get somewhere and his legs supposedly hurt too much to walk. That's the reason he gives; I'm not entirely convinced it's even the real reason. It's been noted by many that Tyrion really just wants to be loved, so I think that his "look how little I am, and my legs hurt sooooo bad, and I can't take another step, carry me!" is a way that he's learned that he can get relatively gentle, non-sexual human contact, because that's something he's craved all his life.

Why didn’t Tyrion mention to Cat that he heard about Bran’s recovery while he was at the wall and then decided to gift Bran plans for a modified saddle on his way back south from the wall? He can tell her about how he thought about how to modify the saddle himself, drew it out and wrote instructions while he was at the wall and on his way to Winterfell. Bran’s murderer surely wouldn’t do this.

35:13 I think this line also implies how tyrion believes the lannisters generally come out on top one way or another. Cheeky bit of foreshadowing to how the conflict between the lannisters and the starks will eventually play out.

About the bit around 21:20 - I wouldn't be surprised if GRRM was mulling around the possibility of Petyr's Catfish fixation NOT being unrequited at all but actually being the result of some secret affair from the past 10 - 15 years that Cat covered up. What if he was looking into the possibility of Sansa actually being Littlefinger's daughter? Whether or not the perception of creepiness is heightened exponentially by this or recontextualized into a father broken up and bitter over the distance he was forced to keep from his child due to social strata I'll let you decide. Still pretty fucking creepy, though.

I think Tyrion being a cruel jackass is pretty consistent in the books. Compared to complete monster people like Joffrey or Cersei he might look like quite the good guy but as soon as someone slights him he'll become a resentful and sadistic shit about it. All that is quite understandable and a flaw very fitting for him.
Even the whole smug advice about wearing your greatest perceived flaw as armour is true for him because from a young age with some exceptions his family despised him for simply existing. There was no right way to act to get especially his father on his side and even if his coping mechanism isn't suitable for every situation what he had to learn to survive can't be unlearned easily. All that makes me think George's understanding of psychology is what makes the characters so relatable and believable.
The flawed perspectives and messed up information that come with that are a huge part of the appeal for me. It's very unique in that way. In my headcanon the constant descriptions of food are there to make the characters more human - we think about food all the time, it's one of our main things! I just wished sometimes that the characters were about 5-6 years older across the board but that's a different can of creeps.
Oh, and Tyrion‘s fight scenes are complete shit. Complete shit.

I'm not saying Catelyn is not smart, and I don't actually know exactly how this turned out for her. But if I had to lie about where I'm taking a member of a powerful enemy house, whom I just kidnapped on flimsy evidence, my first choice wouldn't be my home. You know, where my teenage son is left in charge. And where other two of my younger kids also live. With one of them having been handicappes AND almost assassinated. And another being a toddler.
