"They came into my room and they killed my family". Stories like this are common amongst the survivors in Aklozai and Najiban. As are the shocking accusations that Sergeant Bales was not acting alone. Even President Karzai has announced "one man can not do that". Chief investigator, General Karimi, is suspicious that despite being fully armed, Bales freely left his base without raising alarm. "How come he leaves at night and nobody is aware? Every time we have weapon accountability and personal accountability." These are just a few of the questions the American army and government are yet to answer. One thing however is very clear, the massacre has unleashed a wave of grief and outrage which means relations in Kandahar will be tense for years to come: "If I could lay my hands on those infidels, I would rip them apart with my bare hands."

This is impossible. There's no way this happened the way they are saying.
@Hamid Hussein that's why. The story is way bigger. I was in his brigade. I was in another unit so I didn't know him but I am really familiar with the chain of command and how things work on that base. They stop the investigation because there is a lot they don't want everyone to know.
Man I wish I could hear more from you. Obviously stuff like this is a really bad look for the military. They are going to kick all they can under the rug and quickly label it a lone madman incident.

@albe sivito I mean if he knew him I could understand. Obviously what he did is absolutely terrible but I would defend my brother regardless as to what he’s done. One event no matter how terrible does not necessarily define someone. RIP to all the victims.

@@bibsweet I’m saying if I was friends with someone who committed a horrible crime or my sibling committed a horrible crime I would not disown that person.
I’m assuming the guy above may have known him and if that’s the case, I can understand not abandoning him.
@@Ruder6163 I did, he was in my squad, he was a good guy, didn’t ever picture this. We went to many a weekend BBQ together. First time we meet was on a detail to clean some ranger barracks and we had a grappling match to see who got the dirty work.
Back to back deployment is hell, then you have what’s left of your life to deal with when you return home.
17 people...." House to house" what like 3 houses...this man killed like 3 fams maybe 2 large ones..this " massacre" was no worse than the shit they do in africa DAILY
the earth rotates.. and one day the US will suffer the same..
