- SYNOPSIS
After Sunny moved out, things haven't been so easy. Aubrey has decided to go to Basil's house to stay for the night. Basil isn't sure why Aubrey decided to choose Basil's house out of all places or why she even left at all, but one thing for sure is that they're both in for an experience.

This perfectly shows both Basil's and Aubrey's character. You could feel the awkwardness and tension between the two, not being used to actually talking to eachother. Both are suffering in their own different ways, yet the pain they feel is similar. Aubrey, who gave Basil a hard time, and then giving him comfort, it hows how much shes changed, and willing to change too.
9:34 I know it's a fanfiction animatic but this one line is genius cause it re-contextualizes the "True ending" for me in a way I didn't think about in the moment when I played the game, it makes complete sense to me that Basil wasn't just gonna be like "Oh, Sunny watered some plants in his dreams and visited me in the hospital, I'm suddenly not traumatized by the lynching anymore!", his something didn't disappear in that hospital bed because it was gone forever, it just went away temporarily because he saw Sunny smile for the first time in presumably 4 years. Doesn't mean he just walks off into the sunset with Sunny with everything solved, that's simply _not how trauma works._
personally I see true ending as their something going away for a while, Sunny's disappear sure but it has a habit of reappearing a lot through out the game and probably the rest of his life, while Basil's receeded most likely to come back when he's down and feeling like shit. But at least for now, their respective Somethings is gone, that overbearing present has been lifted for a little while and they can smile and be happy for the first time in years. This might be just me being hopeful but I believe that their friends would forgive them, Hero might not for a long time though but eventually they would be able to help each other when hard times come. The trauma and guilt will stick to Sunny and Basil for the rest of their life, creeping around, waiting for a moment of weakness to attack again, but I hope that they would be able to have the guarantee of their friends being there to help out someho

I always wondered if Sunny stayed.. I mean it must've hurt to tell the truth on the last day, I mean he had a bad psychosis, trauma and has his eye cut. Man went through pain..
However I always stick by each character because what makes them unique is they're all different, thriving with personality. Aubrey hits home because she reminds me of myself, careless and pushing. I think post good ending will always be something on my mind but I hope this isn't the end of Omori for Omocat
I like seeing these two hanging out and being friends and working through their problems together
Watching this makes me want a sequel to Omori. Although Sunny and Basil have spoken their truths, there is still a lot of grief and guilt present. For Basil, he may not be able to do calm down and move on without help

It is just great and I can't find any fault in it.
I alsom love the minimal use of sound. It gives it a lot of depth in the sense that you can just experience what is happening and it creates such a tense atmosphere that when there is some sound it makes the atmosphere somewhat ominous.
Overall one of the best omori animatics I've seen in a while.
Oh this was amazingly executed! I'm always curious about how the fandom interprets how things go down after the good ending, and especially regarding Aubrey and Basil and how the truth affects their already messy relationship. The use of sound effects, the incredible voice acting, the dynamic shots and minimal uses of colour to put emphasis on small details, and the story all help to create such an emotional yet realistic plot, I think! Thank you for making this. :)

Absolutely fantastic, great work from everyone involved and a especially big round of applause for our man isuru who worked so hard and spent so much time making sure this was well written voice acted and edited.
Me and a few others were nothing more than quality assurance where isuru would preview us the video while he was editing and helping give alternate views on how things could be put together or providing some of the (very few overall) sound effects but it was still an honor to be involved in this and I was still excited to see it even after seeing it so many times during its early stages.

The way Basil asks Aubrey to not bottle up her thoughts... Knows all too well what happens if you do and doesn't want that for Aubrey... Really nice moment.
The amount of effort clearly shown in this project is incredible, and the quality art, sound design, writing, acting- EVERYTHING really!! It’s incredible! Every last bit of it!
Holy heck, this is great omg! This portrayed Aubrey and Basil so well! And the nightmare scene was so good aaaaaa. It hurts, but it's so good. This is really well done. So glad I saw this while looking for Omori stuff.
AAAAH, THIS WAS AMAZING! The voice-acting was such a pleasant surprise, and the voices themselves were great! Not to mention all the scene work! I especially loved the dream sequence, where Aubrey wound up imagining herself in Sunny's position, and how the church and the lake fused into one location. Had things gone differently, she could've made the same mistake as him. Then Aubrey telling Basil that they can work together to make things better, rather than lie to themselves and pretend that nothing's wrong... ah, got me right in the heart.
I like to think that, with Sunny gone, they slowly learn to lean on each other and heal together, and their friendship becomes that much stronger for it. So yeah, you should be super proud of what you've done, because it's really incredible!
You made almost 11 and a half minutes of what I can only describe as some of the most oddly authentic interpretations of this game and it's characters that I've seen so far. The slow pacing behind the character movements is a nice feeling because it reminds me of how people are when they're indecisive and slow about their actions. The irrationality, the doubt, the way the characters struggle to act at all, it's nice. I mean, it's dark and especially the representation of panic attacks used here definitely has a grounded vibe to it. It's not over the top but it's also not downplaying the raw intensity of feelings that go through an individuals head that can't be seen from the outside.
I guess what I'm trying to say is; I really like this. It's almost like watching a highschool drama show except it's Omori and there's trauma children everywhere.
Its just a matter of time before this blows up

Honestly, I didn't what Omori was before I looked it up just now. But I watched this anyway.
I can say you did great though, the emotions were well conveyed and the voice acting was on point. It was a nice and calm watch.

I love the attention to detail. Like how you mixed the dock scene and the church scene together in her mind to create an unholy baptism. You even put the White Orchid on the stain glass windows. And the atmosphere. The entire first first minute has was so heavy. Great job!
Just having an idea of what would happen after the good ending puts a smile in my face but when its done with this incredible animation an voice acting just makes it a thounsand times better. Ps: If you can and want make another episode, i would love it.

One thing I hated in the game was how we never get to see Basil and Aubrey both on good terms again. So I'm happy we at least see them being their for each other again in this.

After the true good ending, Ive always wondered if Basil's something just weakened or it disappeard completely when Sunny smiled, and you were able to answer that through this video.

Omg how tf am I so dumb man? I thought for the entire video this was happening before even day 3, and was expecting Aubrey to find the scribbled photo album 💀 And when I saw Aubrey's dream I was like "OH MAN, FORESHADOWING", but she dreamed of it because it had already happened actually 🥶
The canon day I was thinking about could be easily confused with the one in this video during first half I guess, and I had just watched another animation of Aubrey's past 10 minutes ago, so I still was thinking about the past. i realized all this with the last words of Aubrey: "I won't leave you. Not this time". Btw, I fucking love that words... because they imply that Aubrey finally realized it was not her friends' fault she being alone; she always said they left her and kept on with their lives like if they had forgotten everything, but they were also struggling indeed (she didnt even think about Sunny, Mari's brother, because of probably a victim complex (thinking all bad things happen to you because of someone else's fault usually), so she didnt even have time to think much about the others, who just tried to do something to get over it somehow, and wanted them to help the poor Auby. She is a wholesome girl actually, but well, its a complex that many great persons I know have, and this doesnt make you worse either, you just gotta change your mind and perception of things and learn to not blame someone else for your problems, and move on and try to solve them yourself too). It wasnt only them not talking to her anymore, she didnt either. She was feeling alone and with no support (no brothers, nor supportive fathers), and just waited for her friends to reach her instead of trying to reach them by herself too. She blamed them for leaving her alone, but it was also her fault... everyone's fault. Hero himself said it... that they made the mistake of leaving each other, but this time, they would keep together...
